About this property
Escape to the Mountains! Private hottub, MTN views
Mountain view, lovely cabin, Sleeps 7 2bd/2ba w sofa bd. video game & area pools
Private 2bd/2bath cabin sleeping up to 7 people with mountain views with plenty of amenities to include multi-game video machine, hot tub, internet, smart TVs, etc. This unit NO LONGER offers a grill. Too many guests have fed the bears. When no one was there to feed the bears they destroyed 2 grills so far in 2025. Unfortunately feeding the bears makes them dependent and the park ends up euthanizing them. A fed bear is a dead bear. (grill amenity removed 9/12/25)
This beautiful cabin is a perfect getaway for family or friends. Sleeps 5 comfortably + a sleeper for up to 2 more: Master bedroom with Queen, second bedroom with twin over queen bunk bed that sleeps 3, and a sleeper sofa if needed in the living room.
We like to think of our properties as your home away from home. We even provide contacts that can bring in your groceries and supplies leaving you to focus on what clothes and what of our many, many activities you want to do.

Listing was as described. Beautiful views of the mountains. Easy to find with GPS. Short to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Definately could use a deep cleaning, we couldn't walk barefoot because your feet would be black. Bedding smelled of cigarettes. The water for the shower was lukewarm at best and I emailed regarding it and never received a response back.
Thank you for staying with us — I’m really glad to hear you and your family enjoyed the cabin. It’s always great to know guests had a comfortable and enjoyable visit. We’d be happy to welcome you back anytime.
The overall stay was very nice with a beautiful view I do recommend for a family getaway!

Thanks for recognizing the extra effort in providing Christmas decorations.
The house fit our family perfectly! We enjoyed the veiw and the screened in porch. We saw bear at the cabin which was a highlight. Our children loved the house and going to the pool. Thank you for letting us stay at this cabin and make special memories!!

We had a wonderful time with our girls!! We actually saw some momma bears and some cubs on the first day. The cabin was great and perfect for the family! We loved the deck and hubby loved the hot tub! The girls had a blast with the foosball table and the arcade games! Great family memories!

Thats awesome thanks for staying out our property.
Condo was very clean and has amazing views! The only downside if you have you children is the spiral staircase going downstairs to the rooms and hot tub. We would definitely stay here again!

thanks for the review. For those reading its not a condo. Its a single family home or cabin.
Property was perfect because of how quiet the area is. I was in the area for work and it was nice being able to relax there and enjoy the peace and quiet for a few days

The cabin was okay, but could use some basic updates, and replaced shower curtains. I stepped in gum, inside, on the first day we stayed there-so I would say the cleanliness has a way to go for improvment. The hot tub was wonderfully hot, but had so much chlorine in it that we were not able to get in the first day/night we were there.

Hot tub, we drain and refill after each guest stay as is required in the area. We also add a touch of shock to get the little bit of residual water that does not drain. We add bromide tablets that dissolve as needed. WE DO NOT ADD chlorine other than the 2 or 3 tablespoons as indicated when we drain the tub. This is standard and required practice. We also have a cover to keep the temperatures high and not further increase our heating costs. When opened you can often smell a bit of of chlorine like smell. You want that and you also want to make sure that the tablets are not fully dissolved. Im guessing that Marsha compared a private hot tub with a cover to one at a hotel where the steam vents and there is no smell. As to gum, my guess is that Marsha stepped in gum somewhere outside and then decided that she would blame it on the property. Note her only comment on cleanliness was gum she stepped in. What is more likely? Having it on your shoe or a big blob of gun in the middle of the floor after the cleaners swept?
For the price it was very well worth it. There are facets that are a tad dated or worn but the home had everything we needed. Great hub for exploring Gatlinburg.

The house is well located, well appointed but as you point out it is a little dated, which is reflected in the lower price point.
We enjoyed our stay. The garbage disposal wasn’t working when we arrived but my handy husband fixed it. Other than that minor issue, the property was great!!!

Twyla, thanks for your stay and thank your husband for the repair. We have been having an issue with the disposal jamming. Its really not meant to grind food into a septic tank. I'd like to just leave the disposal but have it not used but I'll have to replumb it so that people dont put food down the drain.
About the host
Hosted by Ed Tollefsen
I have aspirations of retiring to the mountains and managing 5 of our own properties and 15 other luxury vacation rentals. A condo purchase in May of 2018 represents our 3rd property. In November of 2023, I purchased a fourth property, a railroad caboose. Throughout 2024, we will be converting the Caboose to a luxury 1 bedroom property with a goal of having it on rental for spring of 2025.
In 2013, we took over the daily management of the properties. We aren't perfect but we do believe in continuous improvement. We consider our places to be part of your vacation experience and as such we are part of 100's of joyous times with families and friends. Our hope is that the cabin & your stay in this beautiful city is a wonderful, lifelong memory.
Why they chose this property
Convenient to Smoky Mountain National Forest, Gatlinburg. Quiet neighborhood with dedicated security and plow service. Surrounded by national parklands which result in a massive amount of wildlife all around us. Relaxing mountain views.
A short drive to Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and Biltmore Estate.
What makes this property unique
3 outdoor pools for summer use, private hot tub, multi-game video machine, 2 private decks, and views.
Roads maintained by the HOA. Winter snows are addressed immediately making chains or 4 WD unnecessary. As legal disclaimer assumes the vehicle operator exercised prudent judgment using plowed roads. I personally have not used 4 WD to access the property on many occasions.
