About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 2-4)

The Limestone cabin is the perfect mountain getaway! Our vacation rental cabin is great for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays and more! The Limestone cabin is located approximately 5 minutes from Hot Springs, NC. The cabin itself is over a hundred years old! We carefully dismantled it piece by piece and relocated it to the banks of the French Broad River. The cabin comes with a fully equipped kitchen, gas and charcoal grill, so there is no need to eat out!

It also features a private hot tub on the back porch with privacy blinds. The cabin sleeps a maximum of four people. A queen size bed located upstairs and sofa bed downstairs. While your stay at the Limestone cabin you can enjoy countless activities nearby and on-site! Things to do include: on-site fishing, biking, hiking, exploring the land surrounding the cabin, white water rafting, horseback riding and of course the famous Hot Springs Spas. Also, if you feel the need to do some light traveling during your stay you can venture to Asheville, NC-home to the Biltmore House and many, many more attractions.

About The Owner

Greetings, I'm Harold Finley and Sadie Finley my wife are the owners of the Limestone Cabin. We are both natives of the Hot Springs area and are firm believers in southern hospitality! This is currently our only vacation rental, however, we have a few long term rentals in the area. I also have a grading business as well. We have enjoyed meeting new people visiting the area and hope to meet many more in the future! If you have any other questions for us feel free to let us know!

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2009

Why The Owner chose Hot Springs

The cabin was originally located in the city limits of Hot Springs, NC. The cabin itself was over a hundred years old! An heir to the cabin was going to have the cabin torn down, so I decided to carefully take it apart and have it re-built. I decided to have the cabin moved and refurbished to some land I owned by the French Broad River. I wanted to share this piece of history and location with others that might be appreciative of it.

Excellent, private, romantic, clean, easy access to town, beautiful views!!!

  • 5 of 5

This place was excellent. Everything stated above and more!!! Clean house, private, quiet, easy walk to town beside railroad tracks and easy access to everything. The road that takes you to the house is a little tough but you would not be able to get the privacy or the views in mountains like these without sacrificing a little! House has everything you need if you want to cook while your there and the hot tub is a nice way to unwind and relax at the end of the day!! There is a train that runs through a few times during the day but it is kind of unique with the rich history and is not a bother at all. Plenty of places to go fishing in the area and just unwind! Several mom and pop type restaurants that cater to your needs and have a variety of items to choose from. Very tasty too might I add! Will come back!!!

it was a clean property in a very peaceful setting by the river.

My wife and I had a good time relaxing and spending time together. The cabin was at the end of a dirt road so we were not interrupted by other people. There were good options for hiking and doing things on the river. The cabin was clean and had the necessary things for making your own food as well. Would definitely recommend this cabin for other couples who are seeking a quiet getaway.

Very nice cabin on the river

  • 4 of 5

Had a great New Year's weekend at this cabin. The cabin sits on the river with a nice quiet and remote setting. The hot tub was great! Owner came by to light the gas fireplace for us and was very friendly and helpful. Hot Springs is a great little town. We had a nice dinner at the Mountain Magnolia Inn and Iron Horse Station. I would recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a secluded getaway.
