About Judith Huber
My husband and I have lived in and cared for Hale Aliomanu (VRBO 306938) and Hale Aloha (VRBO 308945) for many years. Both private gated estates, which are 200 feet apart with one other home separating the two, are on the same secluded and beautiful Aliomanu Bay. I have always loved the water, and after coming to Hawaii in the 70's when I was 17 I knew I'd never leave. We moved to Kauai in 2000 and love the ocean, surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and fishing. The quiet small town appeal of Kauai fits our personalities perfectly. Some of my most cherished family memories are from the estates at Aliomanu Bay. Please give us a call anytime about your vacation plans and this property. Much aloha, Jude and Paul Huber

What makes this Estate unique
Turquoise blue ocean views, watching the sun come out of the water from my deck, from my bed, from my front yard, whale watching in the winter, monk seals sleeping on the beach, dolphins in the summer, turtles year round and seeing the Milky Way like never before. The swaying 40 foot palm trees, the cool ocean breeze throughout the home, and the lulling sounds of the ocean are so enticing. And the shelling, finding coral letters on the beach that spell 'L O V E', walks on the virtually private beach, the children building sand castles everywhere and enjoying the quiet splendor of a private part of Kauai is what separates this home from many other oceanfront properties.

Looking for that one of a kind Kauai family renuion accommodation? This is it!
The Halle Aliomanu was perfect for our three generation family spring break vacation! The accommodations were excellent, the yards are extraordinary and perfect for outdoor fun, the setting and access to a very quiet sand beach perfect, and their was plenty of attention to all the details associated with our stay. Access to plenty of ocean options is easy as are nearby attractions and stores. Halle Aliomanu helped make our extraordinary family time together that much better. Aloha!
Lovely, spacious home - perfect for family getaway
Gorgeous kitchen, dining room table great for family dinner, card playing, and kid's projects. Bedrooms very comfortable. Well equipped with games, toys and water equipment. Jude took wonderful care of us and her pineapples were a real treat.
We loved our time at this home. The bedrooms were spacious and it had a bathroom for every room. The kitchen was amazing and had everything one might need. Most rooms had air conditioning and they had little conveniences like blow dryers in the bathrooms. The den above the garage was amazing. It had lots of parking and an automatic gate for easy entry. It was a very safe area, we went for walks in the community everyday. The grounds were lovely and the location was great. Easy to take day trips to all parts of the island. The manager of this house is extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this property to others.
Fabulous family vacation house
Super house for a 3-generation family of 11. Spectacular kitchen! Lots of space in the whole house and lots of supplies of all sorts. Jude was incredibly helpful from the very beginning of the booking through the end of our stay. She was always responsive to any and all requests and questions. The concierge was also great! I'd go back in a heartbeat, if it was a lot closer for our far-flung family.
stay in november at beachfront home in Kauai
the property was exactly as presented and in excellent condition. the property manager was on top of every need and took great care in making sure that everything was to our satisfaction. we understood that the weather in late november can get windy and rainy and it was and the beach area is ok for snorkeling and some bathing but if staying here plan on daily excursions to other beach areas with more sand, less wind and more to see underwater. only negative was the beach area collected a lot of debris from the surf and we did some cleanup there.
There are beaches on Kauai for every desire, if you want white sand, privacy, no dangerous undertow or rip currents, no large waves and the very good possibility you will have the entire mile of beach to yourself then the beach in front of my home is ideal. It's sand and reef out in the water so the reef sections are good for snorkeling, though it's not a marine reserve and it is not 100% reef so it is not as good for snorkeling as Tunnels or Kee beach. My beach is safe year round due to unusual geography, it has an outside reef that breaks up all the large open ocean swells, waves and currents and creates a bay that is good for young and old alike year round. In fact we even have 2 sit on top ocean kayaks at the home for your enjoyment. If you want to feel like you are on a deserted island my beach will be ideal. I am still amazed how often on a beautiful sunny day I am the only one on the beach in front of my home. No private person can own the beach in Hawaii as all beaches in Hawaii are publicly owned and beach accessibility is, by law, required. Yet for reasons that defy logic my beach remains very secluded. It is definitely off the beaten path as it is in a very small private neighborhood so maybe that is the reason. If you prefer to share the beach with the other visitors then the wide expansive stretches of the beaches of Hanalei, Kealia, Tunnels, or the South side Shipwreaks beach are for you. Be careful as the North side winter waves and the South side summer waves can cause dangerous swimming conditions on those beaches.
The weather in Hawaii can change quite often and usually does every few days but November 2017 was unusually windy, quite gusty and from an unusual direction, which caused ocean debris to wash up. When this happens I have a worker who rakes up my beach for 100's of feet of shoreline so it is maintained nicely. Usually the trade winds in Hawaii are SouthEasterly or NorthEasterly, but this November we had direct Easterly winds for weeks. This lengthy spell of wind is not normal as usually a windy pattern of weather lasts a few days and changes. Typically, if it is windy on the East shore of the island, where my home is located, it will be windy on the Southern and Northern beaches as well, but the West side of the island will be more pleasant. Mother Nature is making up for a windy November 2017 as December 2017 has had over 20 days of either no wind or 5-10 mph winds and from every compass direction except Easterly
Ten of us stayed for one week, ages 25 to 58. It was magical. The perfect room for each couple. We loved the entire house. The kitchen had everything and Jude made check in and check out enjoyable and easy! We bought fresh fish from the Dolphin and cooked all our meals at home. We visited a farmers market and we were invited to a real farm where my daughter in law picked banana leaves to use to cook the fish over the bbq. We bought a giant raft and enjoyed the bay. We also snorkeled right out front every day. We made good use of the wonderful concierge to get paddle boards and extra snorkeling equipment. We also used concierge to sign up for a yoga instructor and masseuses to come to the house. Sunrises were magnificent and we didn't miss one! The master bedroom is incredible. Only one of the five bedrooms is small and without a closet, but it had the best views and easy access to the beach, so it didn't matter. This house made our trip to Kauai one of the best family trips ever. It was truly a dream vacation. We would definitely return to this gated beachfront estate! Thank you, Jude!
Centrally located, Hale Aliomanu is just 10 minutes from the beach town of Kapaa where you will find plenty of great restaurants and shopping. Check out First-Saturday Art Walk in Kapaa. Drive north 15 minutes and visit the Kilauea Lighthouse and bird sanctuary. You will also find mini-golf in Kilauea and the Na Aina Kai, a 240 acre Botanical Gardens and Sculpture Park. Continue driving North another 10 minutes to the resort town of Princeville with great sunset views of the Na Pali Coast. Another 5 minutes North brings you to the famous town of Hanalei. Great surfing, shopping, and restaurants and the beautiful crescent shaped white sand beach, not as private as the beach in front of the Hale Aliomanu Estate, but spectacularly beautiful. Then keep driving North to the end of the road, to Kee beach for great snorkeling.
Here is where the famous Na Pali Coast trail starts to Hanakapii waterfall and Kalalau Valley. If you continue Heading South from the Hale Aliomanu Estate, past Kapaa another 10 minutes you can drive right up to Opeka Falls, a stunning waterfall, another 10 minutes will bring you to the Wailua Waterfalls where there is almost always a rainbow. A few more minutes south in the County Seat, Lihue, you can visit the Kauai Museum, a great museum. Continuing South you can pass the Menehune Fish Pond, then go through the tree tunnel to the oldest town in Hawaii, Koloaa. A few minutes past Koloaa town will bring you to the resort side of the island, Poipu. Plenty of fine dining, beaches and shopping. If you continue back to the main highway you can drive to the old plantation town of Waimea en route to the Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Park. Finally, back down to the main highway driving west to the end of the road and 11 miles of undisturbed with sand beach, Barking Sands and Polihale Park. There are just so many other things to do, the Kauai Bike Path is one of the best, just 10 minutes from the house. There is zip-lining, tubing, horseback riding, fishing, surfing, waterskiing, kayaking, hiking, helicopter rides and more, all within a short drive from this centrally located gated estate.
