Owner canceled my booking 2 hours before check in

As we were nearing the end of our 10 hour drive on New Years Eve, the owner of the unit canceled our reservation. No explanation given, no follow-up communication. VRBO did their best to make a terrible situation better, trying to find accommodations on NYE in a crowded city, but they could only do so much to help. It through a major wrench in our vacation, adding stress and frustration to what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend. I would recommend not booking with this property as the owners are unreliable and noncommunicative.
