Newly built with every attention to detail and décor, it was designed to be a perfect retreat for guests with the most discriminating tastes. When you walk in you are met with a breathtaking living room and dining area with hardwood floors, a large stone fireplace, down sofa, wrought-iron chandeliers and rustic handcrafted coffee and dining tables. A two story wall of windows above the fireplace overlooks Cadillac mountain and the peaceful secluded woods surrounding the house. Double French doors open onto a wrap around deck perfect for entertaining large groups with a gas grill and outdoor seating. Inside, the beautiful brand new kitchen is furnished with every amenity including a dishwasher, microwave, gas stove, double sink with stainless steel fixtures, and an island that is open to the living room making it a perfect place to re-connect with family and friends.
Walk upstairs to the alcove loft that overlooks the living area for a quiet retreat, or continue on to the master bedroom complete with a walk in closet and private balcony. The attached master bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub, double granite sinks, and stainless fixtures. The bed has a queen sized luxury superior comfort pillow top mattress. The remaining four bedrooms are equally as comfortable with the same queen sized mattresses, “log” beds, dressers, and ample closets. On the lower level is a large game room with a brand new 8 foot pool table and a foosball table, additional double French doors and a third full bath.
Finally, one of the best attractions about this home is its location. The house is 3 ½ miles from the enchanting Village of Bar Harbor, Mt. Desert Island’s artistic, culinary, and social center. Located on the shores of Frenchman’s Bay, it offers the charm of a small New England fishing village with all the attractions of a major resort including restaurants, shopping, and a lively nightlife. The house also borders Acadia National Park, and is less than a mile from the Atlantic Ocean. Nearby are entrances to some of the best hiking trails in the country, as well as a huge variety of outdoor activities including canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, deep sea fishing, sailing, biking, and much more. Also close by is the popular Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and Cadillac Mountain, the most beautiful place to watch the sun rise in the country.

This is a great place to stay for a large family. This was our second time to rent this home, and we highly recommend it. It's a lovely home and the views alone are worth the stay. It's close to town and the Acadia hiking trails.
Comfy cabin in perfect location
Our family of five adults loved staying in this cabin for our first return trip to Acadia in 15 years. We loved the deck for coffee and happy hour. We loved the location for hiking and going into town. We could even walk to some of the trails and given the traffic, that was awesome. Beds were comfy and fire pit was fun to gather 'round for s'mores. Hope to be back in the future.
The location of this cabin is just perfect! The property is a good size with a nice fire pit. The cabin was spacious and accommodated two families comfortably.
Amazing Cabin; Amazing Location
Look no further for a great house in Bar Harbor. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this property! The location is absolutely perfect. It is less than a mile from one of the entrances to Acadia (walkable) and a short drive to downtown Bar Harbor. The view off the back deck of Cadillac Mountain is simply beautiful. It was spacious - there are 3 floors offering plenty of privacy. My husband, 2 sons (ages 7 and 2) and I stayed in the walk out basement. My sister-in-law and her family which included 3 teenagers stayed upstairs (the master is actually in a loft area giving it ample privacy). We were able to put our boys to sleep early without worrying about noise and even with 9 people, we never felt crowded. The cabin was well appointed - clearly a lot of detail was put in the construction. The kitchen was big with plenty of counter space and great appliances (the dishwasher was a huge bonus). The outdoor deck had two large tables and plenty of chairs. The grounds were also nice -complete with a little area for a fire pit and plenty of parking (3 cars were no issue and there was plenty of room to turnaround in the driveway). The bathrooms were great and had excellent water pressure. I was a bit concerned with no A/C but this house is so well designed that opening the windows and turning on the fans created a great air flow and cooled off the house even on the days over 80 degrees (we were there in what was probably the warmest week of July and only had 2 "hot" days.) The owner of the property was very helpful and great to work with. He answered all my questions quickly and everything went very smoothly. This place is well worth it especially if you have multiple families or couples. Stop reading about other houses and just book this one!
Comfortable, convenient, cozy...all you could ask for in an Acadia National Park home!
We are two families vacationing together for 7 years now, and this was the ideal location for a rental home for our Acadia NP adventure. Right off the Loop Road, making the National Park and all it has to offer a very short car ride. Also a short trip into Bar Harbor. The home was spotless and included everything we needed. Plenty of sleeping room for our families (which include 5 teenagers), very comfortable beds, all the kitchen items you need, large laundry, great showers, lots of outdoor space on the deck and by the fire pit....I would recommend this home for your vacation 100%. Would definitely stay here again should we be fortunate enough to repeat our Acadia vacation.
Adorable house in a great location. We had two families (9 people) sharing this 5 bedroom house and we had plenty of room. Loved how close it was to the national park and to downtown Bar Harbor. So relaxing drinking our morning coffee out on the deck. Would have liked to have curtains on the windows in the two downstairs bedrooms. Hard for guests in those rooms to sleep in with daylight streaming in so early. Kitchen fully equipped with pretty much everything you will need.
