A beautiful lake home with all the amenities
This was a wonderful place to spend the week. The house is stunning, with lots of space, windows, and natural light. The full kitchen was great for making meals, and the spacious living spaces offered plenty of comfort for our group of eight. Beds were comfortable, and bathrooms were plenty. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck, relaxing in the hammock, and swimming and kayaking from the dock. This is a special place. Marsha and her team were very easy to work with and communicate with. This place was the gold standard.
Highly recommend! Beautiful house and responsive owner
Our group of seven stayed here for almost a week in June and it as great. There are two master bedrooms and two bedrooms with two single beds in each - perfect for our setup. The house is beautiful and everything is really top notch. It's about a 20-30 minute drive to Bar Harbor, but the drive was so gorgeous that wasn't an issue. It is centrally located if you are looking to explore the entire island. Marsha also was incredibly quick to respond and even sent back some things we forgot when we departed. Five stars for sure.
Thank you so much for the kind words! You’re welcome back any time.
Stunning home on quiet lot
This house is a great place to get away and relax. Beautiful views of tress and water from almost every room. Not very far from Bar Habor or hiking trails. Marsha was very quick to respond when I had questions. Would definitely stay here again if I was visiting Acadia.
Perfect Lake house!
Thank you to Marsha, she was a great host!
We had the most amazing vacation in this home! We had the pleasure of seeing the leaves change for the fall season in Acadia National Park, which was amazing, but paired with waking up and coming back from The Park to this home, was magical! The home is completely surrounded by the woods which has a very happy and zen feeling when waking up in the morning. The views of the lake are just phenomenal! It isn't a complete full view, but that is what we loved about it, it felt like the home was placed within nature, not that nature was moved out of the way for the home. It was a wonderful home for us to unwind and relax, perfect for an escape. We appreciated the little distance from the main parts of the area, as it gave us an opportunity to take beautiful drives through the neighborhoods in the Acadia area, while at the same time feeling peacefully away from the fray of a busy town, but not too far from where we wanted to be at any time. Would come again a thousands times and recommend it to anyone!
Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Beautiful, Relaxed Vacation
My family had a lovely vacation staying at Marsha's home in Acadia. The house was the perfect size for 7 of us, and could have potentially squeezed in more people. The contemporary furniture and openness of the ground floor allowed for us to hang out all together, and maintain family time even when we were cooking or doing separate activities. Being on the 'quiet' side of the island was ideal. We rented kayaks and took advantage of the beautiful lake everyday! We went to Bar Harbor and other trails on the island as well, but loved having our own getaway with nature and amenities in Marsha's house. We ran into a problem when the fridge that stopped working, but Marsha had a repairman come as soon as we let her know. There are many people around from the community, ready to help take care of things if you need help. We would definitely recommend Marsha's house.
