It features a wrap-around covered porch with rocking chairs, fully loaded kitchen with modern appliances, new counters, and specialty coffee bar nook. The farmhouse table in dining room near cozy wood-burning stove comfortably seats 8. Peaceful den with desk workspace and high-speed WIFI for digital nomads. Master suite boasts luxury king bed and adjoining master bath with soaking tub and rain shower, while the Queen room features beautiful wood canopy bed. The property is family friendly with kids' twin over full bunk bed room with TV, pack n play, and high chair. Well behaved dogs that are considered part of your family are also welcome to the MotherLode.

Well appointed and clean

Very nice stay. Very clean, great quiet location close to town. Great place to relax and take in the great sites. A flock of turkeys would come by a couple of times a day delighting our dog. Great place!

Wow! The first comment out of everybody's mouth. Thoroughly and stylishly updated. Every detail was well thought out. Comfortable bedrooms and other spaces (although we spent most of the time on the fantastic porch). Easy walking distance to Sutter Creek. Everything exceeded our expectations. Well done!

Great Stay

Sarah made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The kitchen has all new appliances that look like they had never been used prior to our arrival. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms had more towels than needed. Thank you, Sarah for a beautiful get away.

We loved the house! It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Super cozy and cute. The decor was top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I will say it’s longer hike back after a night on the town though the last hill really was rough

Sutter Creek Dream

This was a wonderful house and a wonderful trip with amazing friends. The house is so beautiful and thoughtful with everything you can think of for a great stay! So close to town, with fun shopping and eats. Take the time to go to Rombauer and enjoy their wine and eat at the best place ever called "Taste"

Beautiful Home

We stayed here for the weekend. The home is beautifully kept with everything you need clearly marked and easy to find. Very clean with all of the amenities you will need. My one and only complaint would be the steep slope of the driveway which made parking challenging. Everything else was perfect.

Super Nice House in Sutter Creek

This house was as described and very well appointed. Very clear instructions too, which were helpful. We had a dog with us and this home was set up with a dog bowl, couch covers, and even a cleaner if your dog does you-know-what in the house (which our did not)!

“Big” Birthday Celebration

My two very best friends and I celebrated my birthday in Sutter Creek and stayed here September 19-21. This home is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I truly wish we had more time there. Everything about the home is perfect. It was meticulously clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. I will definitely stay there again any time I come to Sutter Creek. I’ve already told other friends and family if they’re looking for a perfect place to stay, they absolutely must stay at Motherlode. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

A "Gold nugget" in the Motherlode

This house is in a fantastic location close to the main street in historic Sutter Creek. The description/pictures do not do this home justice! It has been beautifully remodeled inside but still has the old charm that makes it a warm home. It is so peaceful while you sit in the rocking chairs on the wrap-around porch showing the beautiful scenery and trees. The gourmet kitchen has new appliances with added coffee bar. The upstairs master suite is a gem that includes an ensuite with a charming 4 claw soaking tub and shower with a rain head spray. The bed was so comfortable ~ I slept better than when I'm at home! We feel so lucky to have found this little “gold nugget” in the Motherlode and we cannot wait to come back, the owner has provided everything you could possibly require in a rental.

We are natives of California and live in the Sacramento area with our three children and toy poodle. Having lived on the East Coast and Southern US for several years we love to travel and experience new and interesting things - but we also have an appreciation for local treasures. We LOVE Amador County and its world renowned wine and sweeping hills with groves of oak trees. We have long gravitated toward this area and love sharing it with our friends and family. We both have day jobs and busy lives taking care of our kids but our passion over the past year has been transforming this special property into an outstanding destination. Our hope is to provide our guests with luxurious and clean accommodations while they explore this magical part of California's gold country.
