The perfect location for a family vacation "up north"! Hilltop Log Lodge sleeps up to 10 adults in 5 bedrooms with room for up to 6 children in additional sleeping areas. This custom-built lodge is a true work of art, and we are so happy to be able to welcome your family to experience our favorite place on earth. Private swimming dock on our 180' of private Grand Traverse Bay frontage May-Oct. Huge great room for gathering and dining. Game room with pool table and table tennis, several patios and balconies overlooking the water, outdoor fire pit and game lawn with amazing bay views, and a fully equipped kitchen! We love welcoming families and are grateful to our guests who return to vacation at our home year after year!

We are available by phone (call/text) 24/7 during your stay and have an emergency contact in the area in case an urgent need arises.

Located near scenic M22 15 minutes from Traverse City, 5 minutes from quaint downtown Sutton's Bay and 30 minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes. Surrounded by local wineries, cideries, small business shopping, state parks and forests, lighthouses and art galleries.

Parking available for up to 5 cars at the lodge. 2 car garage. 1 mile from the TART bike trail system.





Our home is perfect for large, multi-generational families, with multiple areas for gathering and larger bedrooms set apart from each other for privacy.

*Upper level queen bedroom with ensuite full bath.

*Upper level additional sleeping area with 2 full beds for children



The Dock/Water:



*180 feet of private Grand Traverse Bay frontage

*Oversized dock for large groups, sunbathing, lounging. Umbrellas located in garage.

*Local outfitters (Suttons Bay Bikes) will deliver kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, splash pads, etc directly to the dock

*Depending on the bay water levels, most years there is a small 6-12 feet deep sandy beach exposed that small children love to play on.

*Public boat launch located 100 yards to our South. Local outfitters (TC Watersports) will deliver jet skis, pontoons directly to the boat launch and can assist you with loading.



*Please note, our home is located on top of a large hill (hence the name of both our home and our street) on our 5-acre property. To access our private dock, guests can either walk down a trail through our wooded property (5-10 min), or drive down the hill (1 min) and park at the top of our dock stairs. As is very common on the Leelanau Peninsula, our dock stairs are located on the east side of M22. The crossing from our trail to the dock stairs is located in a very clear, wide open portion of the road with excellent visibility. Guests with small children typically choose to drive down the hill and park immediately adjacent to our dock stairs (where we have cleared parking) to avoid the road crossing.
