Tranquil Log Cabin in Private Mountain Setting with Hot Tub

Bedrooms 2
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Located in the beautiful John River Gorge, between Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain, GLOBE VALLEY RANCH is 'where the pavement ends' and your dream vacation begins. Our family began our dream of building quaint mountain cabins with the purchase of 117 acres on the Johns River in 2005. The Johns River and the Pisgah National Forest border our property and offer a beautiful, tranquil setting to be enjoyed in all seasons!

We proudly offer our brand new hand hewed log cabin with 2 bedrooms and a loft with 2 single beds. A wonderful six seater hot tub sits on the back deck of the cabin. We rent on a daily or weekly basis. In addition, we have built a 36x36 timber frame barn with a BBQ area and play area. We invite you to listen and observe the abundant wildlife on our pristine acreage and enjoy total relaxation on the covered front porch that overlooks 'Bear Hollow Creek'. You may also enjoy a hike down by the Johns River to 'wet a hook'. Our vacation destination offers a wide range of outdoor activities for the adventure enthusiasts during spring, summer, fall or winter.

There are other rental units on the property, VRBO # 640172 .

Great Cabin

  • 4 of 5

Great Cabin, very nicely appointed inside with everything you need for cooking etc and lots of chopped wood to get the fire going.

Located in the forest, we had a dog so great for her to go for walks with no chance of bumping into anyone.

Be aware this place is off the beaten track, 25 mins to blowing rock on a winding dirt road I didn't mind driving it but some people may.

Also be aware the internet/ wifi is minimal, its the hughes net satellite internet, this isn't a slight on the owners, and isn't very good no chance of streaming anything etc.

We had a great time, loved it but if you're here to ski and go tubing you are going to have a drive to get to those places.

We could not have been happier with the cabin. It was nicely decorated and appointed throughout, loved the cozy fireplace. The surrounding area was just what we were looking for in a relaxing weekend away.

Owner is fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

I couldn't be happier with the owner! I book this cottage to get out of hurricane Irma from Charleston. Once I learned that the hurricane wasn't going to be too bad here in Charleston and it was mainly flooding I asked if it was potential for a transfer of weekends because I understood there was a no cancellation policy within the 30 day window of purchase. The owner surprise me with a full refund and have no questions or qualms with it. I was so impressed and it says a lot about her business skills and integrity. For this fact in general I will be booking again in the near future for fall. I can't thank her enough and again I'm very impressed with her.

Peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

What a peaceful and relaxing stay we had! The house is well laid out, warm and inviting. The beds were super comfortable, which can be hard to find in rental homes. I love how private and spacious the property is. Our kids enjoyed playing by the creek and tubing on the river. The hot tube was also a highlight. Would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing and peaceful mountain vacation experience.
