Our heart is in OIB. This is the vacation that feels like coming home. Joe’s place was exactly what we needed this week. Don’t let the negative past reviews sway you- all things are as they should be. The only thing I would suggest is an earlier check in option. 5:00 is pretty late when you pay full price for a night. Will keep this place in our favorites list!

Wonderful place!

Our condo was super clean, very easy to check in, everything we could possibly need was provided, and the location was PERFECT. I would definitely stay here again next year. 10/10 recommend this property! :)

Amazing location— we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property manager was great, very thorough and accurate. No issues. Looking to book again!!! We love the area and really had an amazing time!

Memorial Day Beach Trip

We enjoyed our stay at this condo unit. Close proximity to the beach was a plus- very convenient location! The unit was clean. The grill was missing. The basketball court for the complex was very nice and our teenage boys enjoyed it a lot. Owner communicated well during our stay when we reached out. It was a great price for the location!

Awesome view from porch

Nice second row with ocean view,elevator was great help. We got to ride our bikes on island,beach was great, living room door was in process of being replace so we couldn’t access porch from it or see through plastic. But no fault of owner he was waiting on carpenter crew. Would definitely go back!

First arrival - check in was quick and easy! Upon entry we could tell the condo was so clean! It smelled and looked fantastic! Short walk to the beach, nice storage space for beach equipment. Walk to the pool was slightly farther than expected but we did not mind. Plenty of space to relax! Downfalls- beds are not comfy, kitchen pans need replaced, front bedroom needs a dark set of curtains to block outside lights, PTAC unit needs cleaned (moldy). We would stay again!

Nice Stay

Great stay! Beach access is two cottages down, close easy walk. The pool is a bit further away, too far for our 2 year old (and seniors with knee issues) to walk. Free parking at pool (with pass), if you want to drive. Pool is beach front, with access to beach and a restaurant. There's a unit closet available on ground level to store beach equipment. Owner responded quickly to a singular concern regarding dishwasher, and resolved it. Would recommend and return.

One of my favorite stays in OIB - will be back!

As someone who’s been coming to Ocean Isle Beach for years now, this was one of my all time favorite stays. The property manager, Joe, is extremely accommodating, timely and quick to respond — which made the overall stay easy.The condo itself is very clean, updated and perfect for groups of any kind it seems. While I didn’t bring kids on this trip, I can see how this would be a good fit for families as there are bunk beds for younger ones (or even adults too!). The views of the beach from the condo are pretty unbeatable as you get a view of the front row and beyond.Not to mention you can take advantage of the tennis and pickleball courts, in addition to the pool and tiki bar just a short walk away — this was a big hit for our group after a long day at the beach.Given what other properties are charging at OIB these days, this is definitely a good deal. I will be back!

Several things were broken and not working. Owner knew toilet was broken and was not fixed. Was told to just open the tank every time and pull the chain. The beds were very uncomfortable in all the rooms. Small refrigerator was not working and was told to use it to set stuff on. Lounge chair on back deck was broken but thank goodness we noticed it before anyone got hurt. Could be a nice place to stay if owner kept everything in working order and updated bedding.

Amazing!!! Will book again.

The house was gorgeous, roomy and in the best location! We had two teenage boys, a 7 year old, a set of grandparents, my husband and myself. We all felt comfy in our rooms and private bathrooms. We didn’t want for anything - everything was furnished. Views of the beach were beautiful and the breeze on the spacious deck was fantastic. The elevator was an added bonus for my father with mobility issues. Linens galore and super comfy beds! I think this was our best beach week ever. Great communication with the owner, who was even willing to go the extra mile to ship back something significant we accidentally left behind. You can’t go wrong with this amazing rental. We will definitely book again. Thanks, Joe!

The house was in a fantastic location — just a short 5-minute walk to the beach, which was perfect for our group. It also had plenty of space to accommodate all 13 of us comfortably, which was a big plus. The check-in instructions were clear and straightforward.However, there were a few issues that affected our experience. I reached out to the host on the day of arrival with a simple question about where to find the toilet paper in the house, but never received a response. Communication is an important part of any stay, so that was disappointing.Additionally, there was a leak under the kitchen sink when we arrived. A container had already been placed there to catch the water, and it was already partially full and smelled unpleasant — clearly not something that just started. We also noticed mold around the vents near the couch in the living room, which was concerning from a cleanliness and health standpoint.Overall, the location and size of the home were great, but the lack of communication and maintenance issues brought down the overall experience.

Owner knew when we were arriving and allowed us in earlier than listed however door literally was open when my daughter arrived. Owner notified of Place was ok ? Cleaned recently as Oven had old used foil with debris still present Double bed really unusable more like futon very firm but saggy mattress other beds ok Cookware , very sad Teflon scraped off mostly unusable. We did bring some of our own The kitchen light didn't work. Owner notified of We really love this beach area and all that it offers but probably would not recommend this property We made best of situation despite less than homey

Disappointed worst vacation in OIB in 40 yrs .

This condo needs a major overhall. The carpets are filthy with stains all over them. The condo was dirty with dust on all ceiling fans that when they were on dust was falling in our faces. No light bulbs in any of the living room lamps. We had a terrible ant issue that took 3 days to correct. We had 4 days of no cable or internet. Refrigerator is rusty and dirty inside. Took the maintence man to help correct the issue with tv and ants. He cleaned out all the kitchen cabinets to stop ants. Dishes and silverware were filthy in drawers and cabinet. Broken dining room chairs. Furniture in living room is old and has holes in them and are dirty. The owner and property manager were no help. Complained to both and nothing was corrected while we were there. Told both of them to come and see for themselves. The whole condo needs major upgrading. Will definitely not rent again. Would not recommended to anyone.

We're Sorry the cable was out when you arrived. We contacted the cable Co. and made several follow up calls to get the cable back on line. In this area the ants you saw are attracted by sugar and or sweets. We do have a Pest Control Contractor that services the building. At first you complained about no cable and ants, then you sent a photo of a broken chair. This is the last week of our peak rental season and based on your assessment we've sustained some damage, however there is no excuse for the unit being dirty. If it was dirty at check in It should have been re-cleaned. I asked the property manager to throw that chair away. And of course we'll get ready for next year. I'm so sorry you went several days with out cable. That is totally unacceptable in this day and age. We are due a credit from the Cable Co. We will double it and send it to you.

Expectations Met

Condo was in great location with view of ocean, in nice neighborhood and near pool, with short walk to beach. Unit was clean, and kitchen well equipped. Refrigerator in one bedroom did not work, and shower in master needs tile cleaned. But overall, the condo met our expectations, and we had a very enjoyable visit.

OIB Getaway

We absolutely loved our vacation and the condo was perfect for our family and met or exceeded our expectations. The proximity to the beach was only a 3 minute walk and the deck overlooking the ocean was a great place to start the day with a cup of coffee or to wind down with a glass of wine at the end of the day. The kitchen was a good size and the rooms were large and well furnished. The unit was clean and well stocked with what we needed. OIB Summer Vacay

Location of property was great. Had a slight issue with checking in and getting the room cleaned by 5 but the problem was handled and the location was clean. Did have a mini fridge that didn’t work. Rental pricing was more than I would spend in the future on this property.

2022 OIB Vacation

Condo was very convenient to the beach and we enjoyed being on the top level. Beds weren't as comfortable as we had hoped and bedding is due to be replaced. Check in (one hour late) was the only negative experience (seems our unit was the last to be cleaned). Overall, we enjoyed our vacation at Ocean Isle.
