Tucked away on a serene lakefront, Camp Stardust offers exceptional privacy, natural beauty, and comfort. The cabin is all windows - providing panoramic lake and wildlife views—ducks, eagles, otter, deer, and heron are frequent visitors.

PLEASE NOTE: Our housekeeper is available Monday and Friday. So please request dates that arrive and depart on a Monday or Friday to be accepted. May and October we can make exceptions. Thank you!

Very nice home in the woods that truly makes you feel like you are away from it all. We saw a golden eagle, an otter and blue herons during our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful place to stay

The cabin and grounds were a beautiful place for us to spend a few days. Everything inside and out was clean, the kitchen had every utensil/item that could be remotely necessary, and the boat house was fully stocked as advertised (and also, extremely clean for an outdoor building). In the event that you got bored (somehow), the entire cabin is lined with books—a perfect, peaceful way to spend a few hours. It rally was a great place to get away and reset for a few days.

Perfect

This home is perfect. Aside from some slight road noise during the day, we couldn't find anything wrong with this property. It is expertly decorated, the views are spectacular, the privacy is almost absolute except for the occasional kayaker. Town of Speculator is only 15 mins down the road with plenty of lakes and hiking trails to explore. Maura is very responsive to any questions you might have. Yeah, the perfect get-away. If Maura will have us we will be back for many years to come.

Amazing view and extraordinary,cozy cabin.

My husband and I had been to Camp Stardust three years ago. We loved our first visit and have wanted to someday return. We were finally able to return this past weekend. We brought another couple with us. The foliage was beautiful and the quiet, cozy cabin was a perfect place to rest and enjoy the company of our friends. The cabin is equipped with everything needed to enjoy even the cold and partly rainy days. The cabin is super clean and the owners attention to detail is evident throughout the cabin and property. We appreciate their care in every aspect of the cabin and property. We look forward to another stay.

A Perfect Vacation

The cabin was like a slice of home. I grew up in a cabin by a lake in the Adirondacks and this home had it all. From a stunning night sky, to the quiet lakefront, to the serenity of being out in the woods. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed to make our vacation special. It's close to great hiking, amenities like groceries and dining, and serves as a great jumping off point on longer excursions. We enjoyed the kayaks immensely and used them often. The only caveat would be the close proximity to the highway bridge but that was made clear to us from the start and was only really active during the day. You couldn't hear it inside the house. We will definitely return some day!

Great cabin!

If you’re looking for a great cabin as a base to explore the southern Adirondacks, this place is ideal. Though not close to the bigger tourist spots, there is ample hiking, fishing, and lots and lots of water. When the weather was less than friendly in October the cabin was a very pleasant place to spend the day. The kitchen is well equipped and laid out, and the living areas are quite comfortable. We hope to return!

Plenty to do

Beautiful house in a quiet, remote location but not too far away from civilization (if you need it). Numerous excellent hiking trails within about 20 minutes. But there was plenty to occupy us without leaving the property from great kayaking and fishing to campfires and stargazing.

Wonderful Property

This wonderful property was exactly as described. It met all of my expectations, which is a rarity. If you are looking for privacy, this is it! Extremely clean and well appointed. The view from the cabin is exquisite any time of day. The owners have thought of everything . I was left with a detailed document outlining house rules, which included a slew of information regarding every activity imaginable for each season, including markets, restaurants, and pubs. Like I said, the owners gave thought of everything. No research necessary. They have done it all. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Retreat

Maura and David thought of everything to make their camp a perfect retreat! From the beautiful decor to twinkle lights! Everything outdoors ia also well kept and very clean. Star gazing at night was breathtaking… it was a trip to remember!

Exactly as advertised. Spotless. Comfortable. Great location. Modern and convenient. Used the kayaks every day. Tons to do nearby. Well appointed kitchen although we mostly ate out. Wifi was fast and reliable. Nothing negative to say. We'll be back.

Private and well-maintained

This was a great stay. Property is on the outlet for Piseco Lake and we essentially had it to ourselves. Although there was some noise from Route 8, it was worth it not having any other cottages near us and the outlet. The Cottage itself was very nice and the owners didn't skimp

Beautiful & Peaceful Place!

This cottage is truly a little slice of heaven. We could not have asked for a more perfect getaway. Waking up to the view of the lake every morning was a true gift. Loved the lights, the sound system, the fire, and a little Christmas tree which added a special touch. There are many details to appreciate within the cottage. Beautiful inside and out. If you need to exhale, this is the place.

Just relaxing

We wanted to get out of our house and relax in a place all to our own near a river or lake. Camp Stardust was the perfect place. We enjoyed having meals and looking out at the river. Saw some wildlife. Went canoeing but the water was low so couldn’t access all points.

peace and quiet, even with the highway nearby. wish we could have seen more of the lake but we took the owner's advice on some local hikes and were glad that we did. the camp was a wonderful place with modern amenities and we'll recommend it.

Scenic, secluded, delightful cabin on the water's edge.

This property is very well taken care of by the owners. The cabin is very clean, comfortable and very well equipped for a fun, relaxing stay. It is situated a bit set back from the water's edge, with plenty of room to enjoy. It is quiet, secluded and the view is just lovely. The cabin has gorgeous, big windows in the front allowing for an unhindered view of the lake. Great care has been made for comfortable outdoor space, with comfy chairs, a picnic table, fire-pit and hammock. We enjoyed our time there immensely and will certainly return.
