Newly Renovated! Very Nice 2 Bedroom Villa with a Gulf view, B2611A

Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.
A full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters. Join a complimentary water aerobics class, nature walk or yoga on the beach when scheduled. Whether you wish to spend your time with us on the go or taking it slow, you’re sure to enjoy your new Memories at the Speed of Old Florida.

Unfortunately the pool wasn’t open off the room but the other pool was short walk away. The beach was perfect for finding shells and shark teeth. Perfect for a spring break vacation because the beach had minimal people!

Palm island is amazing! Beautiful area, beautiful home that had everything you might need. The people at the front reception are also very nice. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 is that the pool right in front between the house and the beach is under construction and we were never told anything. When we arrived we see the construction zone is our view instead of the beach. This is understandable, just wish they had told us...

The entire island is still recovering from the last hurricane. The perfect getaway for a small family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our villa was well furnished and clean - a delightful place to stay for a week. We especially enjoyed the large screened porch with it’s own staircase to the pool and beach (along with it’s own hose for feet washing), the large roomy interior with a bay window in the dining area, and the nicely furnished kitchen and master bath. The water views from unit are also amazing. It’s also a great place to social distance with a plenty of room at the beach and the pool. The takeout pizza from the resort was very good.

Great Experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great trip as always. We have 2 kids (8& son turned 7 on trip) and PI is the perfect place for a family. The beaches are not crowded and the kids can play in the ocean without too much worry. We were a little disappointed when our room was switched before our check in date, but the new room turned out to be be great. You are never far from the pool, and still had great ocean view. Staff was top notch, and everything was very clean. I can't think of anything that would have made it a better birthday trip for our family. My son's birthday wish was to come back for a week!

A/C unit needed to be replaced in the actual superior unit we booked but luckily there was availability in another unit and it was just great! A well planned resort: everyone has a view of pool and the gulf. A well run resort: front desk, rentals, complimentary beach chairs, outside maintenance crew, etc.You have to be able to entertain yourself! Loved the peacefulness (until young people arrived on weekend), no shopping, only 1 restaurant, reduces decision making and adds to peacefulness. WIFI was spotty.

Palm Island Getaway

We have stayed twice and enjoy the amenities in the condo. Both times I have stayed the pool has really needed some TLC. I own a pool myself so I know how to care for them, and their pool consistently needed vacuuming. Being so close to the beach, I think more resources should go toward keeping the pool up. The golf carts were in rough shape too.....also needed an upgrade. I still really enjoy Palm Island and plan on returning next year, but those few resort issues could definitely use some attention.

July long weekend stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I never fills these out but thought it would be a good idea since we had some issues this time around. We have been coming to the resort for over 20 years, and with this trip I reserved an ocean front 2 bedroom superior in the 3700 building. When I received my paperwork, they moved us to a 2 bedroom behind the pool I believe in building 2000 area. No one even had the courtesy to call, or email us of the changes, much less say anything at the front desk when we arrived. As I know sometimes you run into problems with the rooms, but someone should have had the courtesy to communicate with us. We come to this island to relax and enjoy, and I always pick a room wit that intention of looking out into the gulf, not being behind a pool with all the noise. I see on your website you do not distinguish anymore between gulffront and gulf view. I think that is a mistake, because it definitely is not the same, and the prices are equal in value. To add fuel to the fire, we took the package with a golf cart. WE were running a little late, so I called the rental office, and asked if we do not get there by 6 since we already paid for the cart, would they please bring the key up to the front desk so that we could use the cart that evening. They were courteous and obliged but forgot to leave the key at the front desk. When we finally received the cart, it had to be returned because it would not keep a charge. We love coming here, and this will not keep us from coming back, but it also makes me feel that this should have never happened with a little effort on your part. We come to Palm island to have a stress less weekend, not add to the work weeks stress. One last thing to say, I called and argued with the office person about our room, and I feel she should have offered to make it right without me asking for a credit, which she gave me a free night.

What a Beautiful Place!

Only concern...which is great for the owners and staff employees is the word appears to be out. Palm Island is the place to vacation. We noticed this started last year but each time we've come this year there were too many people. It seems like the common facilities are being stressed beyond their limits by many visitors who are not respecting the property. Perhaps the security patrol riding on their carts should do more than just...well, ride around on their carts. When renting a cart I read that only licensed drivers can operate the carts. While there we saw many instances of cart loads of people...sometimes too many people in the cart where the drivers could not have been over 12 years of age. Driving right past the "security carts"

Return trip to sunshine

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This trip was our third one in three years. Always a much anticipated trip. This time we had our daughter and granddaughter along for part of our stay. We had requested a beach villa (a condo on the beach) but due to a request from an owner, the condo promised us was not available. We did not receive notification prior to our arrival due to a wrong phone number on our records. However, two weeks prior to our arrival, we did receive a phone call from the concierge asking if there was anything we might need ahead of our stay. I pointed that out during our check-in but was told that is a separate entity from the reservations office. I must admit the unit we were given, was not "on the beach" but directly across from the pool which was quite noisy at times. Also, the unit was very "unfriendly" for visitors. A long list of what not to do as well as the majority of the cabinets locked particularly in the master bath. The kitchen was not well equipped with insufficient number of glasses, plates, etc. The overall cleanliness was just fine and it was convenient while my daughter and granddaughter were here for use of the pool. The service road behind the unit was quite busy and was rather noisy even through the evening hours.
