Great location and place!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a lovely stay in Savannah. Our hostess, Rose, greeted us upon arrival...showed us how everything worked... and chatted for a minute. While chatting, we mentioned a few interests that we were going to look into further. Within a short time, Rose sent information regarding the places we were interested in visiting. I know these things are not necessarily a part of what one experiences when vacationing using VRBO, but for us, it was the icing on the cake. The southern hospitality and southern living was just what the doctor ordered!

This place is located fairly close to everything. We walked everywhere...and found it gave us both the uptown and downtown experience. The place was clean and tastefully decorated.

Thank you, Rose, for making our trip so special!

Comfortable, charming, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed 3/31-4/4/2017 as a couple. Ideal location, walking distance to everywhere you want to go in the historic district, as well as free street parking if you have a car. Quiet neighborhood away from commercial area and tourism, gives you the experience of "living" in historic Savannah. Artistic interior decor, comfortable bed and furniture. We loved the private patio. Didn't cook, but there were plenty of dishes, towels, etc. Hostess was friendly and easily reached if needed. Information about area activities and restaurants was included within, and there was a sizable collection of magazines and movies, though we were never inside long enough to relax. Water pressure in shower was surprisingly strong, but I would recommend putting your makeup on in the living room near the window, as bath lighting too low. Glad to have a hair dryer and iron/board provided. Would definitely stay here again - much preferred over our previous stays at hotel chains and B&Bs in Savannah, primarily because it's away from tourist crowds. Quiet and private location in close proximity to theaters, Forsyth Park, River Street, City Market, historic landmarks, etc. Splendid!

First time visit to Savannah for the St. Patrick's Day Parade

  • 4 of 5

Friends of ours were invited to March in the St. Patrick's Day parade in Savannah. We were only there for for 4 days and did not want to stay in a hotel. We lucked out with this beautiful garden apt.! It was close to the parade route as well as within walking distance to everything else. Yet is was a quiet and charming part of Savannah. Our host Rose was very accommodating and gave us great ideas for the parade as well as restaurants, etc. After a busy night out, it was great to come back to peace and quiet and relax in the apartment. The bed was wonderful, the kitchen served its purpose for our morning coffee and snacks. But if you wanted to make a meal there as well, it was doable. I would highly recommend it. Thanks, Rose!

Great Location and Charming Host

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Savannah and we chose a rental in the historic district so we could walk everywhere (we just parked our car outside the townhouse and left it there). Savannah is made for walking; it has a human scale and people are very friendly. Rose makes herself available (she lives upstairs) and greets you upon your arrival. She has good suggestions for restaurants, etc. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen is reasonably well-equipped (especially if, like us, you don't do any major cooking during your stay). Don't miss the farmers' market at Forsyth Park, Mirabelle Cafe is a good, nearby choice for breakfast, and Le Gourmet Cafe is a charming authentic French cafe. If you're into art, don't miss the SCAD Art Museum or the Jepson Center for the Arts.

Comfortable & Convenient

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely two-night stay. The location was perfect and our host Rose was very accommodating. This is a great option for anyone looking to avoid the typical hotel stay and feel more a part of the city and it's locals.
