About Kasia Epstein

I was born in Poland and lived in Europe until moving to the US with my husband and children 15 years ago. We have been coming to Mammoth for years and finally have a place of our own. I have made this townhouse very much my home and hope that you will enjoy it as much as I do!

Kasia Epstein purchased this townhome in 2010

Why Kasia Epstein chose Mammoth Lakes

We chose to buy this unit because of the size and location in the heart of Mammoth Lakes. This unit provides us with enough room to stay together with another family so that we can all enjoy Mammoth all year round. Being in center of Mammoth Lakes, we have access to the conveniences of the town, we are very close to the ski hill and access to the wonderland that is the Eastern Sierra! The complex has not one but three hot tubs/saunas and a BRAND NEW swimming pool and common room. It really feels like home!

What makes this townhome unique

We have enough space to feel very comfortable when having another family as guests. We can walk to restaurants, night spots, the supermarket and the movie theater from our unit. Having our own entrance provides us with privacy as well. The free shuttle bus stops right at our front door for easy access to Mammoth Mountain and the Village. Parking Lot in front provides room for 3 or 4 cars, and the back parking can be used for boats and trailers

Wow! Fantastic home with a cozy feel.

  • 5 of 5

This is a fantastic place to stay. It felt like a real home with quality amenities, like your own home away from home. The towels we're plush, the rooms were decorated nicely, and the eating and living area were perfect for our group of 7. There weren't also plentiful board games for the kids to play!

Spring Break Skiing with 2 Families

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at the condo. It was more spacious that we had imagined - especially for the price. All of the furnishings were comfortable, it was well maintained and had lots of games and entertainment for kids and adults. The pellet stove worked great for keeping us warm and for helping to dry our gear at the end of each skiing day. The condo is not new and I wouldn't call it "luxury" but it was perfectly fine for two families of four with elementary-aged children to enjoy a long weekend of skiing. The only real issue is the proximity of the master bedroom to the bar across the street as they played music until at least midnight on at least two of our four nights. I was so wiped out from the travel and the skiing that it didn't _really_ bother me, but if I were a light sleeper (or paying a higher price) I would have likely been disappointed. We also struggled just a bit to figure out exactly where the condo was in relation to the rest of the complex. I'm not sure if I missed some information from the owner, but we eventually checked at the office and saw the map. Once we knew where it was it was super convenient to restaurants, shopping and even the hill. Overall a fantastic value. Thanks for a great trip!

Lovely, Well Furnished Condo in Heart of Town

  • 5 of 5

We spent three nights at Kasia's condo at Sierra Manors and had wonderful time enjoying the great snow at Mammoth, courtesy of a massive storm that had rolled in just before we arrived. The condo itself was a great place to stay. The there bedrooms downstairs were efficiently laid out with plenty of storage for both clothes and gear. The bathrooms were also modern and clean, with ample hot water, nice towels, and good heating. Upstairs, the living room was charming and stylish, with a variety of VHS and DVD movies and board games, plus plenty of airy windows to let in natural light. The dining room was cozy. The kitchen was the most dated looking area of the condo, but it was practical and well functioning. There were plenty of dishes and drinkware and cookware to use, and had no issues quickly cooking dinner and breakfast during our stay.

I also appreciated how clearly communicated and straightforward all the rules, guides, and literature around the condo was presented. A welcome binder at the condo provided everything we needed to know, from check in and check out instructions to internet connection to local things to do. Internet at the condo was very strong.

Two parking spots are included wit the condo, and we had stalls located right next to our front door, off the street. The location is also very convenient--just a minute's walk to the red line stop going toward Main Lodge and the Village and directly across the street from the red line stop going the opposite direction. The condo is also right next to a park and ride, if additional parking is needed.

Kasia was very responsive over text (it's better to communicate via text than throught VRBO email/messenger). She helped facilitate a smooth and issue-free trip, and I will definitely look to rent again here in the future!

Cozy Cabin in a wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for our 9-person weekend getaway to the mountain. Plenty of sleeping space, plate ware, towels, and seating in living space for hanging out. Everything was clean and the instructions were very clear when we arrived which made for a smooth check-in. Heaters in the bathrooms were amazing and there were plenty of puzzles and games for late-night activities. Also loved the split-level setup, bedrooms downstairs made it easy to accommodate the night owls and early risers without difficulty. If we make this trip again, we would most definitely check to see if this spot is available - highly recommend!

Two things to note:

First, we were disappointed to discover the coffee maker was broken. Not a huge deal, but hopefully this will be replaced by the time the next guests arrive.

Second, if you plan to stay during the winter months, make note of the fact that they only provide 2 parking permits. This is definitely enforced too when plowing needs to happen so don't risk messing with the Sierra Manor staff! They're good at their job and will tell you exactly where to move your car for plowing (the plow hotline for Mammoth is disconnected so not helpful at all). For a space set up for 9 people, this was difficult for us to understand but it sounds like it's the condo association that enforces that rule, not the owner. The owner didn't really have any recommendations for us for overnight parking so we risked it and parked in an empty lot across the street. If you can stick to 2 cars, do so, otherwise plan on finding alternative options, especially after a ton of snowfall.

Overall, great location, great space, and great communication with owner, which guaranteed a great time for us. Thanks Kasia!

Comfortable condo in Mammoth, lots of room

  • 4 of 5

This is our first condo rental in Mammoth, as we typically just stay in a hotel. This trip was a few couples so we wanted the extra space. This place was perfect for that. The large living area on the second floor was a great place to hang out, eat, play games, etc. Pellet stove keeps it toasty warm as well. The house has all the features you would want plus it conveniently faces the Old Mammoth Road, so you get easy in and out access. The Red Line bus stops are an easy walk if you don't want to drive to the mountain. We had a small issue, and the management/owner was very responsive, which is very important.
