'Play Big' Sleep 6 in Spacious & Cozy, Family Place!

Our clean, contemporary, spacious upper unit condo has vaulted ceilings an automatic pellet stove to keep you warm on those cold evenings after a long day on the slopes or out in the wilderness. Downstairs, it has a nicely equipped kitchen with a great, cold fridge to keep your favorite après ski beverage frosty. A large 51 inch HDTV. Both bathrooms have been recently renovated with new showers, vanities, floors and toilets The master bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed, a large window with beautiful lightning and a full size dresser for all your belongings. Out on the balcony you can soak in the sun from the southern exposure and grill your favorite food. The upstairs bedroom has one queen and one set of bunk beds, TV, xbox 360 and some some games provided for the kids to hang out, watch movies or play games.

In the winter when it is time to relax and unwind there is a Jacuzzi just out the door and down the stairs. And during the spectacular summers there is a tennis court, pool, horseshoe and picnic area just steps away from the unit.

Skiers / Boarders will appreciate the “Green line” shuttle that puts you at Eagle Lodge and on the slopes in minutes. No driving, no fighting for a parking, no looking for a locker, just head to the end of our parking lot and grab a seat on the bus, after all it is the first stop and there is never anyone on the bus at this point!

We spent 2x nights at the condo. It was very comfortable and clean. We couldn't figure out the heat for the upstairs but the wall heater downstairs kept us warm

Location! Middle of town, close to Vons, restaurants and Eagle Lodge is a 4 mine drive.
This was the winter wonderland we woke up to each morning!

Nice condo in Mammoth. The beds were comfy and all amenities were good. The kitchen appeared recently remolded and stocked with new appliances and such. The only issue was the Roku device kept loosing internet making it hard to watch TVThe hosts instructions were clear and easy.

We arrived late the first night, which was a disaster because the place was not cleaned and still dirty from the people who stayed there before us. I still gave four stars because the owner was genuinely sorry and fair in trying to compensate us for it. While it was quite unpleasant, mistakes happen and I appreciate the owner, trying to make it right. They had a cleaning crew there early the next morning and the rest of our stay went smoothly.Overall, a pretty nice place in town, close to a shuttle stop.

The condo was beautiful and centrally located to all stores and restaurants

The condo had updated bathrooms a nice size kitchen. There was a nice breeze in the evening going through with the windows open. Problems we had was there was not enough important bathroom needs and the TV did not work at first. Overall we had a good stay.

Great communication

The property owner responded to my emails within minutes. He clarified a few questions to my satisfaction and was easy to work with. The location in the middle of Mammoth was great.

Well maintained condo. Kitchen was well equipped, the television and internet worked flawlessly. Not a huge unit but a good unit if you have a couple adults and some kids with the way the two bedrooms are set up. Close to downtown, plenty of parking, the unit is as close as you can get to the property hot tub. Brian was very communicative and the price was right. Would not hesitate to rent again.

Mammoth Condo

We had a wonderful time in Mammoth and enjoyed our stay at the Shockley condo. It was a convenient location and easily accommodated our family of 5. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings. The only problem is we found a few dishes in the cupboard that weren't clean so we ran an extra load of dishes. We also could have used a second set of towels for 2 nights. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay in Mammoth.

Place was supplied with most of the essentials. Just little things I wish they would have considered since we were there for one week. ie. toilet paper, paper towels etc.

Nice location, comfortable place

This was a nice condo with a well appointed kitchen. There is a pool/hot tub available, but if you think you will use it make sure to get the code at the beginning of your stay, as it was not on the fridge were it was supposed to be (it apparently changes monthly). And the hot tub was a little sketchy, we did not use it, but the water was cloudy and too low to properly circulate (we did notice the complex maintenance folks come the next day, I guess for their weekly cleaning, so maybe it would have been better after that) Also be careful of the digital door lock, it if slams (which it accidentally did on us a couple of times due to a breeze) it will screech for about a minute. Upstairs room with a queen and a bunk bed was great for our two young adult kids, but I think it would be a bit crowded if you actually put 4 people in it. Nice that there was a full bath upstairs for that room, and the bath on the main level was nice size, with plenty of counter space.

Comfortable, spacious, with some maintenance/cleaning issues

The space itself was as described and functional -- 2 bed, 2 bath, and full kitchen with a sit-down bar for 6 persons as the dining space. The beds were comfortable and the blackout shades effective for a good night's sleep. When we arrived the space was very cold. The kitchen heater was broken and the pellet grill took a looong time to get going, so it was a chilly first few hours upon arrival. Overall the place worked for just 2 nights, but there were definitely some elements that felt sub-par as well: we found long black hairs in a couple of the bed sheets, on a plate, and in a glass. The sponge in the kitchen was old, not a clean/packaged one. There was no shampoo or bath gel provided anywhere, which I've never encountered in other rental properties; I'm lucky I randomly had some with me. The pellet grill was basically the main source of heat, but the pellets provided were so few we ran out on the second (our last) evening. All in all, it worked for our very brief stay and the hosts seemed pleasant enough and responsive. Not sure they've got the best management/maintenance or cleaning company, though.

Quick escape

The location of the property was the best. On the slopes in about 20 min. Also, back inside within 20 min. We enjoyed the fire place each day and my wife enjoyed sitting out on the porch. The upstairs area was the best. The space allow our to group to our separate space. We will returning!

Why they chose this property

We would like you to you know the following about our family: After years of growing up with tremendous childhood family experiences in Mammoth, we decided to purchase the condo in 2007 and share that experience with our children. Our goal is to continue that tradition of family fun and outdoor adventure with our children, and to provide the same experience for all our friends and acquaintances, with a low cost, cozy, and inviting place for all to enjoy year round.

What makes this property unique

Our comfortable place is walking distance to local restaurants bars and grocery stores. You can drink a local brew a Rafters and watch your favorite team, or enjoy a margarita and some great Mexican food at Roberto’s or several other local favorite places. If you prefer a home cooked meal, Von’s grocery is only a block or two away and you can prepare any of your favorite meals in our nicely equipped kitchen. You can do it your way!
