Location is unbeatable. We loved watching all the wildlife right from the house! We saw several pods of orcas, tons of seal sightings, an otter, and lots of birds. Storm watching was well enjoyed with the wood stove and large windows. Place is clean, beds are comfortable, lots of thoughtful touches, well-stocked. Great rental!!
This was our second stay at this property. We love the location, being right on the high bank water. Each bedroom has a view and three of them have attached bathrooms. Great for both summer and winter vacations, but we preferred our summer stay. Would recommend for families wanting to spend time together.
Host was unusually available and helpful. Kitchen was very well equipped. My only suggestion for improvement would be better photographs on the VRBO site because the current ones don’t do the house justice
This property was the perfect experience for a family gathering with several young children. Gorgeous location right on the water! The home has many thoughtful touches with careful attention to detail. Each room has its own en suite bathroom, the kitchen was fully equipped for meals, and many toys & games were available for the little ones. Highly recommend for families! Would absolutely love to return.
This beach house fronts a beautiful view of Port Susan and is the perfect place for a family getaway. We brought a 2 year old and 2 month old and it was perfectly set up for children. Beach access + kayaks and bikes - there are so many fun things to do for all members of the family!. Inside is a very well maintained beach home, tons of space - with both a central area of entertaining and little nooks for kids to play, reading or individual screen time. Frankly, it is an incredible value in comparison to what you can get elsewhere in this price range. Very highly recommend!
Going in we knew we would be on the beach on the SE side of Camano Island. That hardly begins to describe the fabulous beach bungalow/palace. The house was immaculate. The bedrooms all have great beach views. The kitchen is very well equipped and laid out. Having a fireplace/woodstove in the sun room added a special ambiance on the first October night as we were getting the house warmed up. We had a high high tide and stiff breeze out of the SSE the first afternoon. The whitecaps were rolling and the dragon sized driftwood logs went parading by. During low tides we walked on the beach. The kids hunted shells and skipped rocks. When the winds calmed we launched kayaks and explored up and down the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Next time we'll bring a couple cans of cat food and set some crab pots.
I don't know if I can find the words to describe how lovely this home is, but I will try. First of all, we rented the house for a girl's getaway. We are four besties in our 50's and we love to rent homes on the water to escape reality. The entire house has unique beachy decor and fun lighting. Each of us had a private water view bedroom and bathroom (two with private decks). The beds were comfy and the sheets were the softest I have ever felt. The fact that that this home is ON the water when the tide came in was amazing. Falling asleep to those waves hitting the front of the property was a slice of heaven.
The kitchen was very well stocked. The heavy duty swing on the patio was a favorite. The two seats swing independently and you can swing while enjoying the water view. It felt like you could launch right into the water! There are plenty of blankets to cuddle up in while you enjoy the patio (it gets cool at night even on hot days).
One piece of advice - bring flip flops or slippers to walk on the patio and inside of the home. They don't want shoes in the house but the aggregate flooring inside is the same as the patio and can be tough on bare feet.
We all agreed we would love to return to this home!

Your home is so beautifully appointed, well kept, and incredibly comfortable, with the perfect setting right by the beach. We especially loved the peaceful neighborhood and the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding the home—from the sea lions and sea birds to watching the eagle soar by.
