An open concept and a well-appointed chef’s kitchen with a sizable island make this home the perfect space to relax and entertain comfortably. There is a large formal dining table as well as an informal dining area with a table that converts into a card table or bumper pool table for your enjoyment. The home’s four living room areas are tastefully furnished and include a main space with soaring ceilings and water views, and a cozy area with an enchanting starlight ceiling. The beautiful glass sunroom overlooks the patio and pool areas and has views of Rockhold Creek. The master suite has a balcony facing the creek where you can enjoy the sunset. There is a second bedroom and two loft areas on the second floor, and a third bedroom on the main floor with a view overlooking the pool and creek, and overall plenty of space for your family to unwind and enjoy each other's company.

Built by the owner of DC’s iconic Brickskeller bar as his personal retreat, this haven’s distinctive modernist architecture with massive exposed beams throughout could simply not be reproduced today. Less than an hour drive from Washington DC (and without the hassle of the Bay Bridge traffic), Deale is a boating, fishing, water sports, and bird-watching paradise. A hidden treasure

This beautiful home comes with excellent features and amenities (inside and out). It is located in a very quiet and friendly area while still being short ride to the beach and also into DC and VA . The backyard and pool were a huge plus that my children and grandchildren who enjoyed themselves tremendously. I highly recommend this home for family vacationing.

Lovely spacious home with water view

My family had a lovely stay at this property in Deale. Despite issues with the internet that was no fault of the host, we had a great time and look forward to returning to this home during the summer when the pool is open. The property manager was very responsive and professional, which was much appreciated. The town of Deale is quiet with a great selection of restaurants and vintage shops around, great for a relaxing getaway. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Peaceful Fall Getaway

We had a lovely family Thanksgiving getaway in this home. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, we enjoyed sitting together in the living room watching the sunset, and also time alone in the many spaces for rest. The kitchen provided ample space to prepare meals together, and the dining room table allowed us to sit comfortably to eat. This home has furniture and decorations that really fit the character of the home's unique construction and layout. Easy and efficient check in process, great communication with the host!

Great family gathering spot

We rented the house to provide space enough to accommodate a large family gathering for Thanksgiving. We need a good kitchen and large dining space. We wanted to be within an easy drive of DC and were hoping for a glimpse of water. This house provided all of those things. Bayside Comfort

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Modern Bay Dream. Spacious, well-equipped, quiet, and comfortable. There are little hide-away spaces off the main rooms which kids will love. One little issue came up and the property managers were on it! Too cold outside to use the pool, but would come back again for just that opportunity!

Heat Wave / Cool Pool

Hottest week of the year so the pool was amazing. It is large, could handle laps and lots of family members. House is well set up for privacy as we were traveling with 3 different sets of family members. Loved the big kitchen with 2 different gathering spaces. House is open plan, but sound did not carry from little nooks. Appreciate clear communication from host. Lovely quiet neighborhood with a couple of walk able restaurants & shops. Well worth the visit to a part of Maryland we did not know at all.

Great stay for a weekend getaway

Our stay at Modern Bay Dream was absolutely fantastic! The house is not only very stylish but also incredibly comfortable. Every corner was tastefully decorated, making it a truly inviting space. Rick himself was a wonderful host – responsible, friendly, and incredibly helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed for a seamless stay. One of the highlights was definitely the pool. On those hot summer days, it was the perfect retreat. We had a great time lounging by the poolside, enjoying the sunshine and cooling off in the water. It was such a relaxing experience that added to our overall enjoyment of the stay. Thank you, Rick, for providing such a wonderful retreat! We can't wait to visit again and would highly recommend your place to anyone looking for a stylish and comfortable getaway.
