Beautiful, clean hideaway.

We loved out stay in Pupukea. The property is so peaceful and away from the tourist crowds. The roosters kept us awake at night but we got used to it. The addition of an iron and a tea pot would make it even better. There was a little confusion about check out time as all the correspondence stated check out was 11 AM which we were aiming for but then we were told it was 10 AM. It didn't turn out to be a problem but it would be nice if it was clearly stated as one time. Overall, a very nice stay!

Great place to stay in North Shore, Oahu!

  • 5 of 5

Our hosts were absolute gems and the 2-bedroom accommodation worked very well for our vacation! We really appreciate all of the extra care they took to make us feel at home including; sharing local foods (bananas, avocados, lychee from their garden, and smoked swordfish!); giving us travel tips; and finding my favorite necklace that I accidentally left behind and mailing it all the way back to me in Canada. The house is located just up the hill from Waimea Bay and Three Tables beach - we were able to catch the sunset and huge waves every night before returning to our accommodation. I have nothing but good things to say. Thank you so much.

40 year reunion with Island friends.

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautiful! nicely decorated and the beds are the best sleep we've had in a long time. I would stay here every time. Right next to Haleiwa shopping and the pipeline for watching the surfers. As well as 3 Tables beach which is the best place for swimming and snorkeling. Grocery at the end of the road. You just can't beat it for a fabulous north shore HI vacation! Thank you Anna and Alan for sharing your beautiful home. PS: The owners are very nice, helpful and lots of fun!

San Francisco

This property was perfect. The interior was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.

Ana and Alan are super sweet. Ana is very attentive and a pleasure to work with. My boyfriend and I were in town for the Pipeline Masters Competition and we were originally looking to stay closer to the beach. I am so glad we stayed at the Pupukea Heights Studio instead!! The property was well kept and very quiet. We had a wonderful 11 day stay and felt welcome and very comfortable. We will be back and would highly recommend this property. Thank you so much to Ana and Alan for making our vacation exactly that...a vacation!! You guys are awesome!!

Outstanding North Shore vacation property!

  • 5 of 5

If you want easy access to awesome beaches, excellent food trucks, privacy and away from Waikiki which feels more like Manhattan, NY with a beach then this property is for you! I stayed here solo for two weeks and enjoyed everything about it. It has the space to support a family of 5 comfortably. All of the famous North Shore beaches are easy to reach in minutes. The property is located in one of the most sought after neighborhoods on Oahu. The size of the apartment is very generous with all the amenities of your own home and much comfortable than a hotel room. Annegret and Alan are the most welcoming hosts and make you feel like family. I consider them my new found friends! Can't wait to come back and bring my family. It is that perfect!

Amazing location, SO clean, such wonderful hosts!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was my first experience with VRBO and this property won me over. Annegret was the friendliest host and answered our endless questions about the island both before and during our trip. She came over the first night we arrived and gave us wonderful tips and locations to check out during our stay.

The actual space is so incredibly clean and spacious. Even though the beds aren't separated by full walls (just by a bookcase divider wall) it was perfect and allowed for privacy. The occasional rooster and/or other animal sounds were actually soothing and added to the Hawaiian scenery. You'll see wild chickens everywhere!

My friend and I both agreed the location turned out to be perfect. Even though it's not right on the beach you're close to town, have Foodland and food trucks just at the foot of the hill, and have a great running trail down there too. Not to mention the beach that happens to be perfect for sunset watching in the evening as well. We drove to other areas of Oahu throughout our stay , but loved this little town the best.

A few last things: get pastries at Ted's (amazing Cinnamon Rolls!) and please check out Opal Thai (perhaps our favorite meal of the trip!).
