Only 1750 feet from Anchorage Marina on Lake Burton where you can rent a pontoon boat & cruise around the prettiest lake in Georgia. 7 miles from Clayton a mountain community that is known for its thriving downtown, unique lodging, outdoor recreation and restaurants. For the trail hikers just up the road 8 miles is the Appalachian Trail at Dicks Creek Gap.

Perfect place and beautiful!

This cabin was perfect for us! We were in North Georgia for our daughter’s wedding and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spot. Jimmy was so responsive every time we had questions. It was very roomy and comfortable, and we will definitely want to stay again! Thank you, Jimmy for making it such a pleasant experience for us!

Perfect family vacation house!

Our family stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday and we had an amazing time. The property has a huge yard, which our 2 year old loved exploring. The bedroom set up was great for our extended family and no one felt overcrowded. Kitchen & living room set up was very comfortable, and the owner provided plenty of items (cookware, laundry detergent, etc) that we needed but didn't realize until we were there - very thoughtful & we plan to stay here again in the future!

Blast!!

Post Christmas family gathering! We loved the fire pit area and the fantastic view of Glassy Mountain. Cabin is fully stocked with all the kitchen stuff you might need and then some! Spacious, warm and welcoming! We had a great time!!!

Fun and relaxing time in Lake Burton

Absolutely loved lake Burton. The house is rustic historical feel but very clean and has all the cooking amenities. The outside corn hole and fire pit was a family favorite. Location was close to the Anchorage Marina where we were able to rent a boat and jet ski. 30 minutes to white water rafting and Helen, GA as well. Beautiful hikes as close as 15 minutes away. Additionally the property manager had great communication 😁

Amazing property near Lake Burton

We just had the most amazing stay at this property. We traveled as 2 families with 5 teenage boys between us. We brought a badminton net and the huge yard was perfect for hours of play. Walked to the marina and rented a pontoon for the day. Drove to Wildcat Creek for the sliding rock and then onto Helen for some cheesy tubing fun. Sat around the fire pit every night. Property is beautiful and owner is responsive and so nice. Highly recommend!

Wonderful, spacious property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home, with plenty of room for relaxing and visiting. There were so many nice spots to gather, from the multiple porches to the fire pit to the spacious back yard. Our teens loved it as well as our 9 year old. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and it was easy to get to the store when we needed to. Great communication from the host. We hope to return again. Thank you!!

Timpson Creek School House

There are not enough nice things to say about our stay at the Timpson Creek School House. We loved our stay!! The house is wonderful and the host is amazing. The property is absolutely fantastic with a beautiful view. I had a couple of questions for the host that were answered immediately. We had a family reunion and could not accommodate our entire group at our place which is very nearby. This was the perfect solution and we will definitely hope to stay here again. Thank you Jimmy!!

Best getaway ever!

The pictures and description in the booking site lead me to choose this property for a nice getaway with my 2 sisters and my sister -in-law. Our experience from start to end greatly exceeded our expectations! The house has been remodeled and has all (and more) the necessary conveniences. It's located on a small road just a few minutes walk to the lake. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet. The host has stocked the house with everything thing you need in the kitchen and other rooms. The sleeping arrangements were clean and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the screened-in front porch and back deck areas. They layout of the house offers lots of space for gatherings and ease in moving around. We really felt at home here. This house is located in a beautiful location so close to many great nature trails for beginners to experienced hikers. The surrounding towns are quaint, have interesting shops and many good restaurants. Jimmy, our host, responded quickly to all my messages and offered additional assistance, if needed. All in my party frequently talked about how much they enjoyed this location were excited to tell their friends and family about this for future vacations!

I have a beautiful Mountain View, looking at the Glassey mountain while sitting at the fire pit or either on the back deck. Apple trees and 3 acres of land. Very beautiful and relaxing.

My backyard is over 2 acres with the apple trees, which allows kids and children of all ages to enjoy themselves while looking up at the mountains. If you decide you would like to walk about 1700 feet, you will see the prettiest lake in all Georgia. Lake Burton. This lake is the home of Nick Saban, and other celebrities.
