Cottage, 1 Bedroom & Loft on gorgeous 2.5 acres with 100' Cypress trees
Our cute little cottage is a park home located in a quiet and serene place along the Guadalupe River. One bedroom with one bath plus a large sleeping loft upstairs. The sleeping loft has 2 queen beds but due to a short 50' ceiling, it is designed more for sleeping and leisure activities. The loft overlooks the den, the water and property because of the large floor to ceiling windows in the den area. The den has a queen sleeper sofa. The cottage has a full kitchen with small dishwasher too. We have put a 8' x 12' deck on the front with patio furniture, a bench built into the railing and a bbq grill for your outside enjoyment. The deck overlooks the river as well.
A huge piece of property with large shade trees along the beauty of the Guadalupe River (2.5 acres of open property). We are at the rivers widest point so it boasts a beautiful view. We have a dock down by the water and it can be used for tubing, swimming, and fishing. Great place for large family gatherings - ask about other cottages we also have available.
We are pet friendly but the property is not completely fenced off (only 95%).
If you have a larger group, we have a matching cottage near this one that can house your additional group members. Please inquire for more information. This piece of property has a total of 4 rentals, nicely spaced that is a great location for family reunions, company retreats, etc.. The full 4 unit property can sleep up to 38 guests.
5 minutes of Schlitterbahn, Gruene and the river outfitters.
15 minutes from the outlet mall and Texas State University or ZDT Amusement Park in Seguin.
30 minutes from Canyon Lake.
40 minutes from Sea World, Fiesta Texas/6 Flags, the River Walk, Austin.
Floating - Rockin R Tubes will pick your party up and take you home after a day of floating and socializing on the Comal River.
New Braunfels is the gateway to the hill country so it is a great place to ride motorcycles or bike tour.
Great location for Family Reunions, Weddings, or Graduations.

About Thor & Courtney
We have lived in Texas for 21 years and enjoy everything about this state including the Texas Coast and wonderful rivers like the Guadalupe. My wife and I love the water and enjoy bringing our kids including our black labs to the water.
Thor & Courtney purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Thor & Courtney chose New Braunfels
The 100'+ tall cypress trees on this property are amazing. Lots of shade and cool water breeze make this a hidden gem. My Kids love the swimming, fishing, and the huge camp fire site and me and my wife enjoy the quiet, peaceful surroundings.
What makes this Cottage unique
Great location, close to town but just far enough to avoid all the noise. The 100' trees and cool water make it a perfect destination for a quick getaway. If you want to have fun floating the river call our friends at Rockin R tubes and they will pick you up and take you home.

The cottage is small, had the necessities we needed and also accommodated our dogs. Our other family members rented the gray house, which had several mouse droppings and roaches. They'll review it on their own. The major draw back about this cottage/reservation was the lack of communication from the owners. When I originally booked this cottage, I had reserved 2 nights. Once I found out that my family could join us and availability was open on this property, they decided to come and stay 3 nights. I tried to add an additional night to my reservation but the owners would not return any of my texts, phone calls or emails to do so. So we ended up arriving a day after my family did. Overall spending time with our family out weighed any negatives and it was a great time. The owners did communicate with my other family member via texts/emails and allowed us to have a late checkout, so thanks for that.
Nice property grounds but cottage lacking...
The grounds are absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed sitting out by the lake but unfortunately the cottage itself is in some desperate need of repairs/renovations.
Property absolutely beautiful but cabin is a dump and so small, pictures very misleading.
The cabin is tiny and nowhere to keep clothes because the closet doors are falling in. And the cabin is so tiny, can't believe it says sleeps 8. It was the two of us and our dog and barely enough room to move around. Anyone seeing this online needs to know it is a fishing cabin at best, definitely not nice as pictures portray!!
Nice relaxing place!
Cozy little cabin on a large property. 4 cabins but we had the place to ourselves on the weekend we stayed (Jan.). Has lots of room to let our dog run and play. Love the firepit out near the river. Has some wear and tear but has the necessary essentials.
Great location, very clean when we arrived, good communication from Maria (host) parking is a little tight, specially if you have people traveling from different cities to meet at this location. Over all, the space is great, backyard is beautiful during day and night. The house itself is smaller than what the pictures depict, don’t expect to be in a full size home.
Great cottage with 600' of lake property on Lake Dunlap. Great for fishing, boating, and swimming. Come and relax on the lake, only 10 minutes from Schiltterbaun, floating on the Guadalupe and Comal rivers, and Historic Gruene Hal and New Braunfels. Only 30 miles from San Antonio, 15 miles from San Marcos Outlets, and 56 miles from Austin, the live music capitol of the World!
