Idle up to Pelican Cove in Rockport, Texas! This charming three-bedroom, two-bathroom home sits directly on the canal and is a short boat ride to Estes Cove. The perfect spot for a fishing family or group of friends, including your furry friends (2 dogs maximum). The home is well appointed with the creature comforts of home.

Upon entering, you’ll find the living room boasts comfortable furniture and a Smart flat-screen TV. After a morning of fishing, it’s a great spot for an afternoon siesta or to snuggle up with your loved ones to watch a movie. The kitchen is equipped with all major appliances, pots, pans, dishes and utensils, so you and your loved ones can prepare anything from full-course meals to snacks for your boat trips! The sunroom of Pelican Cove is a great feature, with beautiful canal views and wall-to-wall windows. Head to the patio and fire up the charcoal grill for a fun picnic. The yard is fenced in for extra privacy. Cast out from the dock and reel in a big one, even at night with the underwater greenlight. (Guests are NOT permitted to use the boat lift.)

After all the excitement of your days, you and your guests will be ready to rest your heads. At Pelican Cove, you will find comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms with ceiling fans, Smart TVs and plenty of storage. The primary bedroom features a queen-size bed. The second bedroom has a full-size bed. The third bedroom has a twin-size bed with a twin-size trundle along with a queen sized sleeper sofa. Perfect for kids and kids at heart, the third bedroom also comes with a PlayStation 4. The primary bathroom and second bathroom each have a walk-in shower. Feel free to pack light—all bedding and linens are provided, each bathroom has a hair dryer and there’s a washer and dryer in the home for you to use.

So cute! Love this house. Tasteful beach decor, not overdone. Lots of places to sit inside and out. Perfect for a family even though it was only the two of us and our two dogs. We were looking for a fenced yard so potty breaks were easier without a leash. Fences were not tall enough for our jumping dog but with supervision she was mostly contained. Hubs fishes out of a kayak so the canal access was great. He could pull right up. Our only complaint was a lack of response via email from amnagement.

A good place to stay

The house has pretty much everything you will need to enjoy your stay. The beds were comfortable. We had plenty of towels for 2 people with very nice laundry equipment onsite. The kitchen had everything we needed. For the most part the entire house was clean, check in / check out was easy. The neighborhood and location were very good. We brought our two dogs and walked them in the area every night. There was also a very nice dog park in town and Rockport Beach has a nice dog area. Shopping and restaurants were very good. My only real issue was the cloth furniture inside and outside. Outside I would have liked solid wood or hard plastic seating instead of furniture with the dirty pads. Inside it was a little better but stains on rugs and some furniture was not ideal. There was a noisy window a/c unit in the front room but we just left it off. It wasn’t needed. The outdoor grill was dirty and had rusty grates so we didn’t use it. The kitchen had everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and the people were absolutely friendly. The waterway view is nice. Plenty of parking. They have a bunch of board games in the front room in case you need the diversion.

Property fine, Property Management lacking

I reached out to Vtrips/Miss Kitty’s via the chat option shortly after booking. I had two questions about the property and wanted to find out about a possible early check in. Every vacation rental I have ever been a part of has had no problem accommodating special requests such as an early check in if feasible. I never heard a response back although I sent 3 messages. I then called 3 days prior to my arrival and I was told that early check ins are never granted, after I pressed and asked to speak to a supervisor I was told to call back the day of my arrival to see what could be done. They day of arrival came and I called about 9 am, I was told again that early check ins were “generally” not allowed but that they would reach out to house keeping to see if they could have it cleaned earlier than usual and to call back at 12:00. I called back at 12:00 pm and was told that I needed to back after 2:00 pm because housekeeping was not even dispatched until 11 am. I also asked and was told that no one had occupied the property the day prior to my arrival but that they still had ZERO idea if it had been cleaned, if it needed maintenance etc. I called back at 2:00 pm, I let the property manager Amber know I was in town and had drive by the house to see where it was while we were killing time waiting on check in and that no one was at the property. Amber then reluctantly told me she could give me a 3pm check in. When I asked why I couldn’t check in at 2 she said it would cost $$
