Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths. Totally updated kitchen coming in Oct. 19
We are Louisville, Colorado residents and grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland and rural northernwestern Illinois. The mountain adventure and lifestyle was a big draw for us. We enjoy skiing at the mountain with friends and son, Xcountry skiing/hiking with our dog and mountain biking in the summer. This is our family vacation home and we are happy to share it. We hope it brings as much connection to nature, friends and fun, as it does us.
Tracy purchased this Condo in 2010
Why Tracy chose Winter Park
After visiting so many Colorado mountain areas, we kept coming back to Winter Park for everything it had to offer us and it's easy and close to get to. It is close to Wolf Park for some summer tennis, and kids' playground. Mountain biking trails feeds our adventure with miles of trails leaving from the condo. Honestly, having this place is one of the best things we have done. It unplugs us and our friends/ family from our daily home chores and work to gather and connect. This fills our cup.
What makes this Condo unique
Easy access for kids to walk outside with 4 sliding glass doors. One level living, no stairs in the unit. The parents can socialize with drinks while watching the kids play outside or watch movies in bedroom. Alpine trail (2 blocks away) is a beautiful, easy or snowshoe to Alpine Park. A big hit with kids. The free bus shuttle to and from the mountain stopping at our condo complex is a huge plus. It creates ease in the logistics for multiple parties. Summer mountain biking starts with heading out from the parking lot. Awesome adventure with many trails and variety of terrain (and plenty of exploration on finding new local trails).

Five sleepless nights
First, we expected to find a first floor condo and that was actually deceiving in the posting. You have to go down two sets of stairs to get to the front door. Thankfully we were all able bodied. However, we were traveling with two small which made the stairs problematic. The condo was as expected, but had not been professionally cleaned before arrival and had a foul odor. I ended up cleaning and vacuuming myself. The furniture, blankets and curtains were worn with tears. It looked like the majority of the linens needed replaced. The worst of all is the banging around all night by the upstairs neighbors! Our children were awaken every night. The building was obviously built without ANY insulation. You could hear people going to the bathroom, slide chairs around, open and closing the sliding patio doors, showering and so in.... ALL NIGHT LONG. It’s obvious the neighbors like to party and we were hoping for a quiet night after all day activities. This by far had the most negative impact to our trip. My baby was exhausted and cried most days due to the impossibility of sleep. All 4 adults traveling were worn out too. There isn’t enough caffeine in the world to compensate for five nights without sleep. The upstairs neighbors would also let their dog do it’s business on their patio and tossed it down to the ground below outside out unit. Dog mess laying around everywhere! We couldn’t even let the kids play out the back door. The couple positives were the size of the unit three bedrooms and bathrooms, and the close proximity to everything. We also rode the shuttle which was a nice bonus. In closing, I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone who values a restful night of sleep. Look elsewhere.
We are sorry your experience did not meet your needs. This is the 1st noise related review we have had and talked with the neighbor upstairs in respecting late night noise. We appreciate your feedback about the linens and we will let our housekeeping people know.
Perfect space for a large group!
We loved this condo! With three bedrooms and three full bathrooms there was plenty of privacy for our group of 7. The open concept enabled great conversation while cooking our meals. The shuttle to the slopes was convenient and we enjoyed the hot tub. There was plenty of parking. We would definitely stay there again.
Felt like home
We so enjoyed our trip! This rental had everything we needed and even a few extras. The basket of toys in the living room was a big hit with my son. It was perfect for our group! We had three families and three rooms so everyone had their own space. My son even said “this is my favorite “hotel” we’ve stayed at so far”
Very Relaxing and Enjoyable
This condo was so comfortable. It was too fancy, but it gave the comforts of home. The kitchen was well stocked with appropriate equipment. The other addition is that the 3rd bedroom is isolated, which is nice for relatives or friends that may want a little more privacy. It is all on one floor, but in the basement of the condo unit. So, although you won't be using stairs to inside the condo, you will need to go down one flight of stairs to enter. Tracy (owner) was very informative and kind. She communicated well throughout the stay. It is definitely a place that we will keep in mind when planning our next vacation to Colorado.
A little smaller then we thought, based on vrbo. But plenty big for what we needed.
Spacious and very close to the shuttle.
We had a great time and Tracy was very understanding when we got confused over scheduling.
walk to trails for snowshoeing, XC skiing, hiking, mountain biking, skate skiing. Great summer rental for larger cookouts - level grassy area allows cornhole games, horseshoe pits, etc., playground for small kids. Indoor bike storage.
