Overview

About the property

Townhome, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Looking for a luxurious and comfortable vacation getaway that offers spectacular views of Sedona's world-famous Red Rocks?

Then look no further.

Our 2-bedroom (with brand-new king-sized master bedroom set in 2016!), 2.5-bath, 2-story (1,280-square-foot) casita at the gated Canyon Mesa Country Club has everything you need for a vacation you'll remember for a lifetime.

Start with an early morning round on the nine-hole, executive golf course, a tennis match on one of the two newly resurfaced hard courts or just wander through the meticulously groomed grounds. Cool off with a dip in the refreshing saltwater pool or soak in the hot tub/spa (open May 1 through Oct. 31) before heading out on one of Sedona's countless hiking trails.

Bell Rock (which contends with Cathedral Rock as the most famous Red Rock formation) and Red Rock Crossing (one of the Southwest's most photographed scenes, with Cathedral Rock reflecting in the Oak Creek)—two of the area's four vaunted vortices—and Courthouse Butte are just around the corner. We have left a Red Rock Pass for our guests to use and share, though it's not needed at many sites.

Take a break to shop in Uptown Sedona or to lunch in one of the varied eateries in the Village of Oak Creek and-or Sedona, and don't forget to take in a spectacular sunset from the Airport Vortex in West Sedona before heading back to your home-away-from-home for a casual outdoor barbecue or a gourmet home-cooked meal.

Our casita features a deck off the living room for your morning coffee and a terrace off the master bedroom for a breath of fresh canyon/mesa air and a view of Bell Rock. Both outside spaces have new eucalyptus wood bistro sets and new wicker chairs and tables. There's a newly remodeled, fully equipped kitchen with a granite countertop and new stainless microwave and dishwasher. The main floor, which has a wood-burning fireplace, has been refinished with upgraded tile flooring and cozy new furniture. The upstairs, with skylights in the bedrooms and bathrooms, is carpeted, and there is a washer-dryer (including detergent and dryer sheets) for your use. Our unit has Wi-Fi.

Updates include the king-sized bed and flat-screen television in the master suite, antique Arizona quilts and a variety of interesting and unique home decorating touches.

We fell in love with Sedona the first time we laid eyes on it and are confident that you will feel the same way. So what are you waiting for? Contact us today and start planning an unforgettable vacation.

About Rich&Jean

Rich and Jean Donnelly love leaving the canyons of New York City behind for the beauty and serenity of the Red Rocks in Arizona. Jean stumbled across Sedona after a business trip to Las Vegas about 15 years ago and fell in love. When she subsequently fell in love with Rich, they visited Sedona together and quickly found the feeling was mutual. When they finally reach retirement age, they'll move to Sedona full-time, but for now they visit as often as possible. Canyon Mesa Country Club offers the best of everything Sedona has to offer—tremendous views, an executive nine-hole golf course (Jean's just learning), a pool/hot tub, tennis courts and easy access to the hiking trails throughout the region. They'd love to share their passion with you, so come and stay at their casita in Canyon Mesa CC and see what you've been missing.

Sensational Sedona!

  • 5 of 5

Great accommodations in Village of Oak Creek! Close to all the best hikes and a couple of minutes drive to all the shops and restaurants in Sedona. Clean, safe and everything you need for a great stay, maps and trail pass included! A minute or 2 walk to the tennis court, 9 hole golf or the pool and hot tub. After golf over for the day, take a relaxing walk around the course, peaceful! (Oh and the decor was cool, southwest touches with some great golf memorabilia)

A True Gem

  • 5 of 5

What a jewel! The casita was perfect for our recent vacation in Sedona. It was clean, stocked with everything we could ever need and incredibly comfortable. The obviously new Southwest-themed living room set was great and the sports memorabilia was interesting, but not overpowering.

The master bedroom had a wonderful king bed set, allowing us to stretch out after a long day of activity.

The casita was located on a charming nine-hole golf course, with tennis, a pool (not chlorinated-- bonus!) and a hot tub. It was also near some of the best hiking trails in town.

We would totally recommend this lovely property.

Not what we expected

  • 3 of 5

I read all the reviews and unfortunately we don't agree with them. Everyone noted how clean the place was. We did not find it very clean. The master bathroom tub was dirty and I had to clean it before using it. After staying the first night I walked barefoot into the kitchen and soon noticed my soles of my feet were Black. We called and were told that someone had repaired the shower doors and he probably dirtied up the floor. Someone came and mopped the floor while we went hiking. The floors were cleaner but still not that clean-I could still see dirt on my feet when walking around without shoes. Upstairs in the master bedroom 2 of the slots of the blinds were missing and I could see into my neighbors condos so I assume they could also see us if we were in certain areas.

Owner's Response: We're sorry that your experience was so counter to everyone else who has stayed in our casita over the past six-plus years. We responded immediately to each e-mail you sent in advance of your trip, answering your repeated questions and queries quickly and cordially. When you reached out to tell us the kitchen floor was gritty, we immediately contacted our property manager and cleaning staff to rectify the situation--which they did while you were out hiking so as not to disturb your vacation. We explained that a workman had been at the casita the day before installing the new, upgraded shower doors and apparently did not clean up properly. We're sorry you never mentioned there were also remnants of the work left in the tub in the master bath or we would have asked the staff to clean that as well while they were there. As far as the blinds in the master bedroom are concerned: they're a little tricky, but they work and they close and open completely. We happened to visit right after you left and had no trouble with the blinds at all. We take great pride in making our casita as comfortable and cozy as humanly possible: In addition to the upgraded shower doors, we recently invested in a new king bedroom set and fabulous Southwestern living room furniture. Again, we're sorry that you did not agree with all the other glowing reviews we have received. Perhaps you might consider staying at the Enchantment if you visit Sedona again. I'm sure that at $500+ a night, the staff there will jump to remedy whatever problems you find with their accommodations.

Nice Stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the spaciousness of this rental, the lovely balconies, and the attentiveness of the hosts. The mattress in the main bedroom was nice, the second bedroom mattress was on the hard side and uncomfortable. But we would stay here again.

Owner's Response: We and other guests find the firm mattresses comfortable. It's just matter of personal preference. Thanks for your feedback, and we look forward to hosting you again.

Sedona is spectacular

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I was in Sedona for a wedding and we fell in love with the landscape. Pictures do not do it justice. The townhouse was very easy to get to and is located in a quiet gated golfing community. It worked out perfect for us. We took walks in the mornings, shopped during the day and enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the evening. The local restaurants have great food and everyone we met were quite friendly, which made our stay even more pleasurable. We recommend this property and hope to return again soon.

Good location for exploring area. Wished the pool was open, but enjoyed different outdoor seating areas instead.
