The property was great for our trip. It was quiet and peaceful. The house is more of a cabin in that the walls and floors are just structural. This makes it very cozy and warm, but does not have much sound barrier between rooms.
This is a lovely home right on the water. It was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. We greatly appreciated the responsive of the owner, especially given that we had to cancel and then rebook. We had one child with us who greatly enjoyed all of the toys and games. Definitely would rent again.
Host was very responsive, house was beautiful, unique heavy timber construction. Kitchen had everything, including a Brita filter, cleaning supplies, spices, cooking oil. Love the puzzles and games, ping Pong and air hockey-our kids had a blast. The water was so clear by the dock and the screened in porch had a great view of the creek. We had a wonderful, restful time!
Clean house, comfortable beds, and easy check-in process. Great access to dock, perfect to teach grandchildren how to fish. Lots of room in house for everyone. Quiet neighborhood and secluded. About a 15-20 minute drive to downtown Solomon’s Island.
A beautiful spot to reconnect with friends. Lots of birds and marine life. The back porch was perfect for early morning coffee. We had everything we needed.
This was a great property! My family and I wanted a waterfront property where we could fish, swim, and just relax as a family. This property exceeded all of our needs and expectations. The owner was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for an unforgettable stay. Our 5 year old loved fishing & swimming off the private dock and the screened in porch was perfect for sipping coffee in the mornings or watching the sunsets in the evening. We will definitely book this property again!

Thank you for the kind words.
Your experience is exactly why we love our property and are glad you could share it.
Looking forward to hosting you again in the future.
We had a great week, exploring restaurants, the Calvert Marine Museum, and boating. We had a couple of rain days, but the house was perfect to get away from it all. The owner was friendly and very reponsive and we made some new friends with welcoming neighbors. Loved our stay! in the timber framed home on a quiet cove. Lov
Cute spot tucked away. Dock
And boat lift access is awesome. A lot more space than imagined. You can pack a good number of people in!! Very enjoyable stay
This cozy home is a gem where you can kayak, SUP and set a crab trap, fish off a long dock. It is in a quiet neighborhood and wooded so beware of mosquitoes. Highly recommended!
Terrific facility. Only problem, the TV wouldn’t connect to the internet. Very pleased. Looking forward to going back.

Greg - Thanks for your review. I apologize for your inconvenience with the TV. After receiving notice of your difficulty I installed a new TV that connects easily to the internet. Again, I apologize and appreciate your review.
Looking forward to your next stay.
Enjoy.

We stayed here over the Labor Day weekend to celebrate a 40th birthday with friends and family. We had an amazing time and the weather was perfect. We enjoyed using the dock for swimming, crabbing and fishing during the day and enjoyed grilling and fires at night. The kids loved the kayaks, air hockey table and bunkbeds. And the views of the water from the house and patio were excellent!
We highly recommend staying here and we will definitely return.
We loved our 2-week stay! The house has a rustic and cabin-like feel. Having the private dock for our boat was super convenient. We were crabbing and fishing almost every day. For the non-boaters, the crab pots provided worked perfectly at the end of the dock. There are lots of nearby restaurants and we loved the Happy Hour at the Lighthouse. Mike is a great host who responded quickly when we realized the coffee maker was not working. He sent a new one immediately, which was greatly appreciated! Great getaway and a very peaceful setting. We saw offsprey, eagles, and deer almost every day.
The house itself was pretty perfect and what we expected from the pictures and location. However, there were A LOT of silverfish downstairs where my niece, her 3 ye old, 6 yr old & 14 yr old were staying. They only stayed one evening and no one else ventured downstairs. Also, there were repairs (back porch screen) and pressure washing that was needed out back. And, even after 2 weeks, I still have poison ivy, which was on the right side of the driveway. Some items were not available, such as kitchen trash bags - there was 1.

Cheryl - Thank you for your review and your notice of silverfish. We immediately notified our pest control management company who promptly came out and eliminated the silverfish issue. The back porch screen has been left as is for a number of years as the sliding door screen porch is not in use since we have added a screened in porch outside of the screen door.
We will try to maintain additional trash bags for future guests as a convenience.
I hope you will return.
Thanks.

We stayed over the 4th of July and couldn't have asked for a quieter and more calm spot. The home is nice, lots of room for everyone and is rustic enough to give that cabin vibe. The kitchen was very well stocked, so many fun toys for the water, tons of towels. Great washer/dryer. The porch is perfect for coffee in the mornings. Fishing poles, kayaks, rafts, paddle boards, life jackets, we felt so lucky to have so many amenities. Sound carries in this cabin, everything happening upstairs can be heard downstairs, which is tricky with kiddos. I'm not sure we figured out all the light switches and plugs in the week we were there. The basement was great for the kids to play. Air hockey, their own TV and space to be kids. We enjoyed and will certainly consider if ever back in MD.
All the generations -- grandparents, parents, and young kids -- loved our stay at Mike's in Lusby. The first thing we liked was driving onto the property down a tree-lined lane and already seeing the water view, with easy parking for four cars (plus extra space). The three-level home with a bedroom on each level worked very well for the young children who went to bed early and their parents who wanted to stay up later. We also appreciated the total of three and a half baths. Plenty of beds including a K, two Qs, bunk bed with trundle, futon, and sleeper sofa. And a port-a-crib. We appreciated the enormous linen closet with lots of extra sheets and blankets. And the fully-equipped open kitchen that has room for several people to be in at once, and the dining area with a nice-sized table for six or more. And the seating for three at the kitchen/dining room bar. We loved that the whole wall facing the water is mostly glass, and there's a screened back porch we all enjoyed, plus the very large patio area. Our adult kids enjoyed the kayak and the paddle board and the dock. We all liked the games and puzzles and the big open living room space. The lower level also has a lot of space and game table and seating area. A sandy beach is 18 minutes away. It was hot outside during our stay, and we were thankful that the house kept nice and cool with the adjustable thermostat. It was absolutely Perfect. And Mike is the ultimate host (from afar). We all look forward to coming back.
