Dear Gregory,
Thank you so much for staying at our property and being our great guests. Hopefully, you will choose our place again for your next time in Canadaigua.
Best,
Ha Nguyen
We stayed at this house for my son‘s graduation from RIT. It offered us the perfect place to decompress. It was an easy commute back-and-forth to Rochester. However, the town offered many great sites to see and places to eat. We truly enjoyed the stay!!
This is my second time staying at this property and it was another amazing experience. The host is amazing and even checked in on me throughout my stay. He is very responsive and truly cared about making my stay as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this property and I am sure that I will stay again in the future.
I was visiting my hometown of Canandaigua and this rental was 3 houses down from my parents house which was amazing! It was just me and my wife so the space was perfect for what we needed. I would definitely rent this property again.
We were able to find this house very easily and it was near everything and easy to get around. The weather was great so we didn’t need the heat or the air, which was super! Host was right on top of things and easy to work with.
Overall, the property met our expectations and was as advertised. Ha was very responsive when we ran into an issue and was very helpful to us. He clearly cares about his guests and their experience at his home. We appreciated dealing with him.
Our thanks to the host of our stay in Canandaigua. The house was perfect for our purposes--close to a wedding venue, close to tourist attractions, close to good food. We were not there much but it served our needs for a long weekend. Clean and organized, good beds! As a former resident of the area, I appreciated the use of it as the landing site in the Chosen Spot!

Could not get the lockbox open it’s old and needs replacing and found a shut off notice stuck to the door. Called owner and she assured me the shut off notice was in error and gave me a combination to a different lockbox. The place smelled weird like too many different air fresheners. I don’t think anyone has done much exterior maintenance except mow the lawn. Overgrown bushes prevented me from using the full driveway. And exiting the driveway they scraped my car. Inside was fairly clean but the windows were filthy and most were inoperable. She asked to put the garbage bins out and I did but the city was doing major construction on the road and mad road closed signs. I will not stay there again and would not recommend.

Not Worth Renting
Driving up to the rental I was immediately disappointed. The driveway was overgrown making it not possible to park the whole way in. The grass was well overgrown. Going into the house it was very musty smelling. As we got to the house in the late evening we were ready for bed, upon inspecting the rooms I discovered mouse droppings on the floor and the beds. There was no place to put your bag/luggage but on the floor. I slept with the light and my suitcase on the bed. In the bathroom there were pajama's hanging on the door and cobwebs in the corners. Making me wonder if the place had even been cleaned from the last renters. The shower had mold and several bottles of shampoo sitting on the floor. A bench or a shelf would have been nice to set my shower items on rather than the floor. The floor had gaps between the boards. The table in the kitchen had 4 chairs, 3 of were not safe to sit on, very wobbly. When the owner reached out, I explained my unhappiness with the mouse issue. He knew exactly which room I referred to and offered to send someone over with traps and to clean the droppings. They set the traps but didn't find any droppings. Didnt look very hard as they were throughout the house. We stayed the full nights I booked as we were only just sleeping there and I did not want to hassle with changing places and was not sure I would receive my money back. I did let the owner know all of this and he seemed to be aware of all the issues.

Not as Advertised
If you stand in the right locations, this property matches the posted photos. However, any slight deviation in viewing angle reveals a completely different property.
First impressions are important. When we pulled in the driveway we were greeted with an overgrown house. Tall weeds and grass were growing through the driveway. I can look past that until I saw a cat tower rotting by the garage accompanied by old sofa cushions, siding pieces, and a broken window. You then enter the house.
The flooring is bargain laminate that was poorly installed. The transition pieces, that were actually installed, were not installed correctly and broke free when a friend walked into the master bedroom. Luckily, she wasn’t hurt.
The cable modem, router, and wiring rest on the living room floor, so be careful.
Upon walking to the other two rooms by the full bath, you’re greeted with exposed piping running across the ceiling. That’s not what one expects when you stay at a VRBO.
The “luxury memory foam beds” are memory foam, but not luxurious. The shower is plumbed backwards, so hot is cold and vice versa. The light in the laundry room is a farm heat lamp clipped to the wire of the non-functional fluorescent light.
The kitchen has newer appliances. However, after catching a damp smell from the sink, we discovered mold/mildew underneath. This caused us to leave early due to allergies.
Sketchy wiring throughout the house has me wondering if anyone inspected the property.
False advertising!!
