An important question for me when renting a vacation property is “would I do it again?” The answer for this property is definitely yes.My wife and I, our 3 adult children and their partners, and our 3 ½ year old grandson stayed for 5 nights in September. We really enjoyed our time at this property with 3 generations spending the Labor Day Holiday. The unassuming and quiet neighborhood give way to a beautifully appointed home with large living space, comfortable bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, and best of all the beautiful views from the large deck and living room. The kitchen has everything we needed to prepare meals and lots of options for morning beverages.You are just a short walk to Chambers Bay public golf course with lots of trails, playground, and green space leading to the water. Emmy was communicative without being obtrusive and does a nice job of making the place feel like home.We would definitely consider a return with family or friends.

This house is one of the best we have rented. It was very clean, had all the amenities we needed, plenty of rooms and bathrooms and the view was excellent. We were happy with the location as it was very quiet and easy to get around the Tacoma area. Emmy was very responsive as we only ran into one issue with the hot water heater not functioning correctly. She was able to fix that issue remotely although we did have it happen again the next day. I would definitely recommend staying at this home as we enjoyed our time here.

Fabulous vacation house

We enjoyed our stay at this house and would happily stay there again. We loved the view of the water, and then it got even better when the weather cleared so that we could see the mountains. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with calming decor throughout. There is off-street parking for multiple vehicles, and even access to the garage (so nice when it was raining). Plenty of restaurants just a short drive away. All in all, it was a wonderful, relaxing place to stay.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood because my sister and mom live in University Place, and I wanted a home where family could gather and that would be mobility-friendly for my mom to visit. It’s a quiet residential area that feels peaceful and relaxing while still being close to the Puget Sound. Just one block away is a park with a playground and scenic walking paths overlooking the water, and the trails eventually lead down to beach access. Being near Chambers Bay Golf Course is another bonus, with its beautiful views, walking trails, and restaurant nearby.

What makes this property unique

The home was designed to be comfortable for groups gathering together. The main level is step-free, which makes it easier for guests who prefer to avoid stairs and works especially well for multi-generational families traveling together. The step-free layout makes the home comfortable for guests of different ages and mobility levels. Downstairs there is a game room that provides additional space for relaxing and spending time together.

The house sits on about a third of an acre, so the backyard feels spacious and peaceful. Deer, bunnies, owls, eagles, and seasonal frogs are often part of the natural setting, and each year a deer brings her fawn to rest in the yard during the day.

From inside the home and from the expansive deck you can enjoy views of the Puget Sound and watch ships pass by on the water (we recommend bringing binoculars). The deck is a favorite place for guests to sit outside, relax, and take in the scenery.

With the open space, views, and quiet setting, the home works well for family visits, holiday gatherings, golf trips, or simply spending time together. It’s also a great place for golf groups to relax together after a round at nearby Chambers Bay Golf Course.
