The beach house was great! Had everything needed for a perfect weekend with friends. Easy walk to the beach. Cooked great fish from the seafood market thats across the street using the charcoal grill that came with the house. Kitchen was well stocked!

Great little beach house that is an easy walk to the beach!

Beach house was just as pictured. I liked that there were 2 couches in the living area, provided seating for all 5 of us. Enough cooking utensils and cookware for making meals. Bathrooms are a little small but workable and the showers were nice! Short walk to the beach, so it was easy to walk back to the house for those that wanted to go back for lunch or a nap! We appreciated the outside shower and hose to wash off the sand. We would stay again!

Very clean and well stocked

We had one adult and seven young adults, and the house was perfect. There were enough beds for all, and the king in which I slept was SO comfortable. The house was very clean and well stocked, perhaps better than any VRBO I have ever stayed. There were the usual accessories but lots of extras as well. The neighborhood was quiet, and the beach was only a short walk. I would rent this house again.

Good place overall. Smaller than the pictures portrayed! Nice updated bathrooms, kitchen was pretty small for cooking a lot of meals, so we mostly ate out. Great location, easy walk to the beach!

Keep Looking. This should not be your first choice.

My family has been spending summers at Pirates Beach for 40 years. We have stayed in numerous houses here and seen it all. That being said, this house was a disappointment. The house is on the market and you can tell that the owners don’t want to put any more money into it. They just want to sell it. Looks like they aren’t having much luck as the price has just been dropped. No wonder. It needs attention. Top line summary: The railing is very lose. I had concerns walking up and down the stairs. The stairs have seen better days. And there is no chance someone inspecting the property would miss this. The rug at the top of the stairs is ripped and caused us to trip. When I mean ripped, I mean shredded on one side. It should have been removed. The kitchen pots and pans are ancient. The knives are terrible and not set up for a guest house food prep. Four coffee cups for a house that sleeps way more. There are NO supplies. No foil. No extra spices. Nothing. We got a roll and a half of TP for a bathroom. No beach towels. The bath towels are stained. There was no bath rug in the guest bath. The living area rugs have no grips so they slide. A lot. If you have an older person in your party you’ll need to pick them up. The outdoor shower is completely open. Almost every house we’ve stayed at has at least a partially enclosed shower. It seems like an afterthought. I’m out of space. Rent elsewhere. Not worth the money.

Adorable house for a family

This house was perfect for our family! It was clean, well kept and very adorably decorated. Short walk to the beach, and centrally located in a very calm neighborhood. From comfortable bed to luxurious linens and a perfect drip coffee pot, the finishing touches were perfect! We will definitely rebook this house in the future!

Family vacation

We really enjoyed staying here. The check in was painless, and simple. Our family has been coming to Galveston every year for years now. We love the location of Pirates Beach! This property was good location, the description is exactly what it says it is. I will say, we are use to staying in bigger houses but we were pleasantly surprised this house fit us perfectly. We don’t stay at the house much anyways and when we do we like to be close. We are happy we chose this property.

Cute cottage

This house is super cute and cozy. It’s pretty little, but it’s cute and it’s comfy. The beds and pillows are great, which is a rare find! Our kiddos loved the built in bunk beds. The negatives are that the outside shower isn’t enclosed and the kitchen could use a little love. Everything is functional though!

This house was perfect for out 6 adults and 3 kids. It was clean, just enough room and a great location! My almost 2 year old had no trouble walking from the house to the beach.
