Newly updated home on a canal that connects with the Homosassa river, with private boat dock and only a short kayak or boat ride to the Springs to see manatees or to just enjoy the cool water of the Homosassa Springs. There is also direct access to the Gulf via the Homosassa River.

This vacation home is perfect for just a getaway, a family retreat or vacation. With a private boat dock on the canal newly built sitting area (deck) over canal and overhead fans, a swing and adirondack chairs, this 3BR/2BA home is centrally located near Homosassa Springs and the Gulf for scallops along with fresh and salt water fishing. With our kayaks ( two two person kayaks and one one person kayak, three total) you can paddle to the springs for Manatee watching. Sometimes we see manatees in canal right behind our house, so keep an eye out.

Every bedroom is fully furnished; Main bedroom has queen bed, the second bedroom has a king bed and the third bedroom has a queen bed and a set of bunk beds. Second and third bedrooms also have individual mini split A/C and heat that allow one to choose own temperature for comfort. The master bath has been newly remodeled with a walk in shower. The second bathroom has shower/ tub and large vanity area.

Cook your meals in the fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances. Or, if you wish use the provided propane grill outside on the brick patio that also has a picnic table.

The televisions (5) are equipped with streaming Apps should you want to watch your favorite shows.

Enjoy the screened outdoor lanai for your morning coffee and watch the sun rise. The lanai is a great gathering place to enjoy spending time with your friends. There is a game area in the large family TV room with a pub table to play those games we all love. The family room has a big screen Smart TV and new leather furniture for your comfort.

There are three ( two 2 person and one 1 person) Kayaks included that can be used to paddle a short distance to the Springs and paddle among the manatees. The home is less than 100 yards to the Homosassa River,via the canal at our back door, which will take you to the gulf and/or the springs. Its less than a mile to Homosassa State Park for manatee watching, birds watching and other wild and sea life.

Enjoy eating at one or all of the local restaurants such as Crumps Landing, Marguerita Grill, Florida Cracker Kitchen (my favorite for breakfast), Monkey Island, The Old Mill Tavern, The Shed at MacRaes Boat Dock and The Freezer (try the cajun boiled shrimp ) just to name a few. All are within a few miles of our home either by car or by water. Just a short drive for your supplies at Publix grocery store.

This home is on a very quiet street and is equipped with Smart Lock Access with digital key code that is created personally for each guest.

PARKING : The driveway will accommodate a boat trailer and two vehicles. There is room for two boats at the dock. The ramp at our house is not large enough to launch a boat but there are several public boat ramps in the area to launch your boat. Please do not park on grass.

Pets, we do allow for one dog and have a $25.00 per night fee for your pet. Please note that when you book.
