We lived staying here. Close to yellowstone but very quiet. The location on the river is beautiful and the cabin is adorable and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.
This property was absolutely beautiful inside and outside! The owners were very friendly and the cabin was stocked with the necessities, including bear spray for our hikes. I would recommend this to anyone looking to visit Yellowstone!
Cabin in the snow
We had temps in the single digits so I can assure you that the cabin stays warm and cozy. The kitchen was well equipped and the whole experience was a great base for our Yellowstone experience. Appreciate the guidebooks and the bear spray - very glad we didn't have to use it!8
We loved our stay at the cabin. Had everything we needed on hand along with the beautiful views and Yellowstone River. It snowed the first night we were there but it was gone by the end of the day. Tried out the “S’mores kit” and it worked perfectly. Spent 3 1/2 days in Yellowstone and saw everything. Great location.
Thank you! Sorry we didn’t get to meet you! Hope you come again.
Exactly as pictured
This was the most beautiful place! The property is right on the river and had a magnificent scenery!! Wendi was very easy to work with throughout the booking process and was accessible for questions. The property was very well stocked with linens, paper products, dishes, cookware and anything else anyone would need for a very comfortable stay! It is in a great location - very close to the North Yellowstone entrance. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely return in the future:) Great place, Wendi!!!!
Thank you so much for your review! We enjoyed having you and look forward to your next visit!

About Wendi Burke
I am a Montana native, 2nd generation (my grandparents homesteaded in northern Montana), and Warren has lived in Montana most of his life having grown up in Northern California. We have 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren, some living in the area. Warren is recently retired from the National Park Service and I manage the cabin. We love living in the mountains but also love to travel. We have been providing lodging for visitors for almost 24 years and have loved meeting wonderful people and sharing our corner of the world. We have a dog (Tillie) and 2 house cats who also enjoy our guests.
Wendi Burke purchased this Cabin in 1995
Why Wendi Burke chose Gardiner
We built our 'Cabin By The River' in 1995. For 10 years we operated it as a bed and breakfast. We are located in a small valley of the upper Yellowstone River. We have about 5 acres on the Yellowstone River. Our home and the cabin are on this acreage.
What makes this Cabin unique
We love being close to the river and hearing it flow by at night. We are in a country setting with neighbors yet private. Guests enjoy fishing right here and having a fire in the fire ring by the river. The mountain views all around are spectacular. Sitting on the porch in the evening or early morning are beyond description!
