Very peaceful setting away from the crowds yet right outside YNP NE gate. It was nice to be so close to Lamar Valley and the cabin provided a wonderful place to come back to after exploring the park each day.

Loved our cabin, very clean and had coffee and the essentials you need. They had 2 chairs to take to the national park to watch bison. I would recommend to arrive before dark because it could be difficult at night to see signs and drive up the driveway. It cost more then a hotel room in Cooke City, but you felt like you're on vacation.

Great little cabin! Loved how close it was to the park and our little fox visitor. We cooked breakfast in the microwave in the morning packed a lunch and grilled out supper. It worked well!

Such a truly lovely place to stay. A cozy oasis in nature. So clean and comfortable. We loved the loft and views of the stars. I enjoyed the simple kitchen for basic meal prep and loved exploring the region. Lamar, Beartooth Highway, and the cute towns of Silvergate and Cookecity are all right there. Jack came right over when I had a question and shared history and ideas for our day. Other locals also very generous with recommendations. This is a special place to rest.

We adored this spot and the views were incredible! Very close to town and to the park as well. Jack was really responsive to our needs and accomodating. The wildlife we saw nearby (a fox and 2 kits) was a highlight for my kids. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location outside of northeast Yellowstone. We loved our stay. The cabin is remote but easy to find. The kitchen allowed us to make breakfast every morning before leaving for the park. Everything was clean and comfy. It's also right near Beartooth Highway.

Comfort in the wilderness

The best mountain view from a clean and comfortable cabin! Convenient for northern Yellowstone visit and enjoying the abundant wildlife. Great host. We can't recommend this cabin more.

Perfect place to enjoy the park

Location is extremely close to the park entrance. We were there to mainly hike and fish. Cabin location and view were amazing. We were able to sleep, eat, relax, and efficiently enjoy the park. Hosts were very responsive with cabin needs and other information.

Cabin was perfect for our trip to Yellowstone. Clean, easy to find, cozy. We couldn't have asked for more. Jack, the host communicated with us as needed and made us feel very comfortable

The Back of Beyond was a fabulous cabin in the woods with a view of the mountains. It was easy to find…the pictures do not do it justice! It provided everything we needed, in a place we love, YELLOWSTONE. The host lives on sight and was very attentive to anything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
