Portland Back Cove Hideaway-1 BR- With Patio

Our quiet residential Back Cove neighborhood is your perfect retreat from a busy day exploring Portland. Take a short drive to the center of the city, or enjoy the waterfront walking and biking trail which loops around the cove. Dine at Tipo or Woodford F&B, two neighborhood favorites. Come home to this newly renovated space and relax on the patio! Our space can accommodate four guests. Great for a family, or close friends! We look forward to hosting you!

The Space:
The apartment is on the lower level of a multi unit home (two other apartments), even though the space is on the ground floor the windows provide plenty of light. We installed recessed lighting throughout to supplement light when the days get shorter. The ground floor also allows for a walk out patio off of the newly renovated kitchen.

The patio has two chair and a bistro table set, enjoy the backyard view with your morning coffee or an evening cocktail.

The kitchen is well stocked and updated with new stainless steal appliances, a butcher block counter top and open shelving. Easily take drinks through the kitchen door to the patio, use an enamel tray or our vintage ice bucket to keep your bottle of wine chilled while you enjoy the outdoors.

The living space offers comfortable seating, a pull out sofa, and side chair, and a small bistro table for your working vacation or indoor dining. The space stays at the perfect temperature with a split unit heating and cooling unit.

The bedroom is light and bright with warm neutrals, totally serene, a comfortable queen size bed, and another heat/ cooling pump to control the temperature for a restful night sleep. A large walk in closet to put away your belongings keeps the space clear and decluttered during your visit.

The bathroom has a spacious shower, subway tiles, a stone built in bench, detachable shower head and glass sliding door. A marble top vanity with storage below. A window with a rice paper privacy film, offers maximum natural light.

The entry way has a set of steps down to the apartment, a coat closet and a laundry area with a washer/dryer combination machine, and a drying rack.

Guest Access:
Our guests have the whole apartment to themselves, parking in the driveway is available for guests, and the backyard is shared. The patio is dedicated to the unit.

The Neighborhood:
The Back Cover neighborhood which borders Woodford's Corner, is a quiet residential neighborhood. A quick 5-10 minute drive to the center of the city. Best of both worlds with walking trails around the tidal cove, and quiet strolls around our quaint neighborhood, while being located close to everything Portland has to offer! Restaurants close by, like Tipo for Italian fine dining, Woodford F&B for intentional American dining, Montes Fine Foods for Roman Style pizza and Italian pantry staples, wine and more. Sammy's Scoops for ice cream, Back Cove BBQ, Veranda Asian Market, Rose Foods for classic Jewish style bagels, Big Sky Bakery for fresh bread and pastry, Maiz for Columbian food, Bayou Kitchen for Cajun brunch, Bird and Co. for cocktails and tacos.

Getting Around:
Easy to drive into Portland, you can walk to many sites and restaurants in our neighborhood too. Uber and Lyft are plentiful for easy travel.

Other Things to Note:
The apartment is a lower level unit. It has plenty of windows, but somewhat low ceilings. Someone who is much taller that 6' 5" might need to use the detachable shower head, as they may be a bit tall for the height of the faucet.
