About Marjory Bartee

We feel very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful and unique spots on the North Olympic Peninsula and to be able to share it with travelers seeking to experience the beauty and wonders of this special area. We are located on several acres of land, partially farmland, partially woodland on the high bank waterfront bluff along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our views are of the majestic Olympic mountain range to the south and of Vancouver Island, B.C. to the north. Having a wooded creek as our eastern boundary, we are able to provide the unique access pathway to the beach below. All of our several vacation rental homes enjoy the use of this same five minute hiking trail which is the most treasured feature of our properties. Wildlife abounds in this natural habitat where deer, eagles, river otter, seals and more are seen as an every day occurrence. We work daily at our other businesses where we sell home improvement products such as appliances, flooring, cabinets etc. We strive to have all of our vacation homes reflect our enthusiasm for inviting, quality interiors so that our guests feel truly welcome and at home while they stay in our homes.

Why Marjory Bartee chose Olympic Peninsula & Pacific Coast

We have lived on this acreage for many, many years and have gradually developed several vacation rentals on it over the past few years. We love this beautiful land and try to keep it looking it's best for everyone who comes to visit so that they will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this mobile home unique

This particular vacation home has fantastic water views, is very cozy and convenient, and is close to the creek and to the trail that leads to the beach. It is so quiet and private and when the deer stroll past the porch and nibble on the fruit trees, it is like a storybook setting. When the exquisitely beautiful peacock comes by everyone gets out their cameras!

Clean, Comfortable, Peaceful and ideally located.....

  • 5 of 5

Our third stay in the Agnew area with Marjory Bartee who manages several vacation rentals was fantastic. These are nice and affordable units on a high bluff that overlooks the Straits. When you arrive you find the units sparkling clean and well stocked. The area is very residential and out of the way yet only a few minutes from either Port Angeles or Sequim as well as all the other attractions in the area. Thanks Marjory and staff!

We'll be back!

We enjoyed our stay. Busy during day with hikes and sightseeing and nice to go back to homeaway to prepare a home cooked dinner for 3 hungry adults and 2 young children.

Best VRBO from our 44 day road trip...bar none!!!

  • 5 of 5

I absolutely loved this location! It was better than expected. The home is very well kept and clean. Loads of extra touches throughout the home. But the best part is its location! You are in a super quiet residential area. Homes are close enough to know you are not alone, but far enough away for privacy. There is a private beach on the grounds as well as a separate look out point just behind the home. The beach was a bit of a challenge, but it is secluded and super gorgeous. Only wish I would have made the hike prior to a sunset. It has to be gorgeous from that vantage point.

I think this place is perfect for couples as well as for families. There is something for all age groups in the surrounding areas. I loved that we were near something called the "Blue Hole." The town of Sequim has spectacular weather and loads of lavender farms. It is very picturesque. Anyone who likes photography would love this location. You can get to Olympic National Park in a short time as well as tour the town of Port Angeles. We even had a deer pass right by the picture window one morning while enjoying a cup of coffee.

I loved this place and wish we would have stayed longer. We are outdoor people and barely scratched the surface of what the area has to offer in outdoor activities. We have already said this is the one place we will return to in the near future. I wish there were ten stars to give as it is really worth the accolades.

The Humblebee Hive is in a secluded location with a backdrop of towering evergreen trees where eagles nest, above the private beach where seals and seabirds are spotted as the waves crash ashore. It is less than two miles away from the paved Olympic Discovery Trail, the perfect trail for pedestrians, cyclists or equestrians. It is also only a five minute drive from the well-stocked Agnew Grocery and Feed Store which has a large selection of wines many from our local Olympic Peninsula Wineries. Because it is so conveniently located mid way between the two towns of Sequim and Port Angeles, in an area called Agnew, it is an easy fifteen to twenty minute drive in either direction to the restaurants and shops and activities that both towns have to offer. The world famous Dungeness Spit, the longest spit in the world, is only minutes away by car or can be hiked to along the shore for those who enjoy hiking and beachcombing along the unpopulated, rugged beach. Be sure to plan your beach walks accordingly, however, as high tide can be treacherous if you are not prepared. (tide tables are listed in the local phone book)

The Humblebee Hive offers a place to relax with privacy and intimacy at a very affordable price. The entire property and grounds are at your disposal. There are several wooded trails that lead to waterfront look-outs where you will want to sit and reflect on the natural surroundings, the native plants, the birds, wildlife, passing ships, the sunsets or the peace and quiet of the property itself.
