About Marjory Bartee

We feel very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful and unique spots on the North Olympic Peninsula and to be able to share it with travelers seeking to experience the beauty and wonders of this special area. We are located on several acres of land, partially farmland, partially woodland on the high bank waterfront bluff along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our views are of the majestic Olympic mountain range to the south and of Vancouver Island, B.C. to the north. Having a wooded creek as our eastern boundary, we are able to provide the unique access pathway to the beach below. All of our several vacation rental homes enjoy the use of this same five minute hiking trail which is the most treasured feature of our properties. Wildlife abounds in this natural habitat where deer, eagles, river otter, seals and more are seen as an every day occurrence. We work daily at our other businesses where we sell home improvement products such as appliances, flooring, cabinets etc. We strive to have all of our vacation homes reflect our enthusiasm for inviting, quality interiors so that our guests feel truly welcome and at home while they stay in our homes.

Marjory Bartee purchased this mobile home in 2007

Why Marjory Bartee chose Olympic Peninsula & Pacific Coast

We have lived on this acreage for many, many years and have gradually developed several vacation rentals on it over the past few years. We love this beautiful land and try to keep it looking it's best for everyone who comes to visit so that they will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this mobile home unique

This particular vacation home has fantastic water views, is very cozy and convenient, and is close to the creek and to the trail that leads to the beach. It is so quiet and private and when the deer stroll past the porch and nibble on the fruit trees, it is like a storybook setting. When the exquisitely beautiful peacock comes by everyone gets out their cameras!

Awesome property, awesome owners!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Humble Bee Hive for temporary quarters while we were looking for permanent housing in the area - and we couldn't have been more pleased!! The property had everything we needed and wanted, it's amazingly quiet, the views are spectacular, wildlife (bald eagles, deer) abound, and the owners are very accommodating. We just can't say enough about this place!!! :-)

Treasure!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I as well as the couple with whom we traveled were taken by surprise as we drove up to the Humble Bee Hive. We had not expected to be greeted by a doe with her fawn in the front yard with a magnificent view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca in the background. As we entered the living room, We were delighted to see that we would continue to be able to look out our pictipure window and to take in the beautiful view. Our beds were very comfy and Ms Margie had outdone herself in providing many, many extras. One could not ask for a more desirable place to stay while exploring the peninsula!

Exactly as described

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for peace and quiet, some valuable down time to relax and unwind from our busy jobs. This was just what we hoped it would be. The trails were perfect to outlooks with beautiful views, and even the more difficult adventure making it to the beach, was well worth it. A dog friendly place made it even better for us to enjoy with them. A very clean, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable bed made it easy to enjoy our three short nights we had.Although we saw some other people from time to time, it was very quiet and we felt very secluded in this location. We have already recommended this to some of our friends.

Beautiful views, great location, spacious, comfortable. The three of us had a great time, gas grill was a real bonus and Margie was a pleasure. Highly recommend this rental for exploring the Olympic National park.

Wonderful stay in every way!

  • 5 of 5

The Property was in a great location for us to go out and do many different things. Everything was very clean and in good condition with lots of good "homey" touches. We especially loved the view out of the living room window! We certainly do recommend this home for anyone!

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

My young adult children and I spent a few days at Humble Bee Hive while day hiking in the Olympic National Forest. Clearly Marjory takes great pride in this rental. The effort that she put into decorating is amazing. It feels warm and cozy as soon as you step through the door. There is a fabulous view of the Strait out the large picture windows in the living & dining rooms. There are wonderful walking trails to the bluff above the sea as well as beach access via another short trail.

Not only was the kitchen well stocked with dishes and cookware, but Marjory also supplies ample spices for your use. The cabin also includes full sized washer and dryer. The bathrooms were clean and ample bedding is provided. An added bonus is the piano in the front room. Both of my kids are piano players so it was quite a pleasure to enjoy listening to them play at random times throughout our stay. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a home base while exploring the National Park System.

The Humblebee Hive is in a secluded location with a backdrop of towering evergreen trees where eagles nest, above the private beach where seals and seabirds are spotted as the waves crash ashore. It is less than two miles away from the paved Olympic Discovery Trail, the perfect trail for pedestrians, cyclists or equestrians. It is also only a five minute drive from the well-stocked Agnew Grocery and Feed Store which has a large selection of wines many from our local Olympic Peninsula Wineries. Because it is so conveniently located mid way between the two towns of Sequim and Port Angeles, in an area called Agnew, it is an easy fifteen to twenty minute drive in either direction to the restaurants and shops and activities that both towns have to offer. The world famous Dungeness Spit, the longest spit in the world, is only minutes away by car or can be hiked to along the shore for those who enjoy hiking and beachcombing along the unpopulated, rugged beach. Be sure to plan your beach walks accordingly, however, as high tide can be treacherous if you are not prepared. (tide tables are listed in the local phone book)

The Humblebee Hive offers a place to relax with privacy and intimacy at a very affordable price. The entire property and grounds are at your disposal. There are several wooded trails that lead to waterfront look-outs where you will want to sit and reflect on the natural surroundings, the native plants, the birds, wildlife, passing ships, the sunsets or the peace and quiet of the property itself. You will enjoy a sumptuous night's sleep as you listen to the waves and enjoy the high end mattress and luxurious, hand ironed, high thread count linens.
