Quiet location with fantastic views
We enjoyed our stay at Maureen at Joe’s charming mid-century home. The views are spectacular! The house is well appointed... we found everything we needed from comfy beds to kitchen items to a warm fireplace! Short distance to grocery store and to downtown Port Angeles. Would definitely stay here again!
Wonderfully peaceful and beautiful.
My wife and I were combining a trip to visit family members who live in Port Angeles with a weekend away from our hectic urban lives. This place was perfect. It combined dramatic beauty with peacefulness, and enabled us to host our family members for dinner. We’ll definitely return.
Amazing view from 1960s home
We absolutely loved the view at this property! I would happily do dishes at home if I had this view of the water! We were able to watch tankers & ships come in & out of the harbor. This older home was a great place to stay while we toured Olympic National Park. We drove 2 hours out to Ruby Beach, but it was worth the drive. We stayed here because Port Angeles is the biggest city near the Pacific Ocean. There is a Walmart just 1 min down the road so you can stock up on food & supplies. The owners were incredibly nice & helpful & met us at the cabin upon arrival. We will stay again when in the area.
Perfect place for a girls’ getaway with gorgeous views and wonderful hospitality! WiFi and cable was NOT missed! Everything was clean, comfy and well stocked. We are looking forward to returning soon!
Thank you selecting our property. I hope you were home to see the Norwegian Gem go by the house. I hope the clouds lifted and you got a spectacular view of Mount Baker while you were there. The house was spotless, please come and visit us again - Maureen
You seriously can't beat that view!
We really enjoyed our stay! Very quiet, yet surprisingly close to the main highway, and very convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, downtown Port Angeles, and a trailhead for the Olympic Discovery Trail. I think we spent any time we were at the house and not sleeping sitting on the back patio watching the ships pass by. Maureen and Joe take excellent care of the property, everything was very clean and the landscaping is lovely! They are also very knowledgeable about the area and had lots of recommendations and fun facts to share. Would definitely recommend!
Janice - Thank you for the review and selecting our property. The house was left in perfect condition and we hope you visit us again. --
A lovely mid century modern home with a beautiful view.
This home has everything you need to have a memorable stay. It’s clean, well stocked & even has a great shower!! The only thing we missed was internet access. It was spotty - which was bothersome. Could be our phone service or our over use of being online. If you’re thinking of staying here - go for it. It’s a one of a kind beauty.
Isabel, Thank you for choosing our property to visit. The house was spotless when you left. I'm so sorry to hear about the internet reception. But the property is situated directly across from Victoria, BC so that is definitely a factor in the reception as well as your internet carrier. Roaming into Canada is sometimes a problem. I hope the views of Victoria, Mount Baker and the ships cruising by, made up for Internet service. - Maureen
The property is situated above the Olympic Discovery Trail. Because of the high bank the trail is not visible or accessible from this property but there are access points which can be biked or driven to. The Olympic Discovery Trail is a beautiful paved and maintained water front trail which is home to the North Olympic Marathon. This trail can be biked or walked year around. This property is located 3 miles from the heart of downtown Port Angeles. There is easy access to Hurricane Ridge, Lake Sutherland and Lake Crescent, numerous wineries, Victoria (Coho/ Blackball) Ferry.
