Great for a getaway
We have stayed here in the past and had to introduce it to our friends. Our second stay didn't disappoint. The house is well equipped and sitting outside (or inside) watching the ships go by was so relaxing. Peaceful and quiet, but with everything you need, and minutes to downtown Port Angeles, this is great for a couple, family or two couples who want to enjoy a weekend trip together. Only an hour and a half to Rialto Beach and less than a half an hour to the Elwah and a bit more to Lake Cresent--not to mention Hurricane Ridge.
Be sure to check out Michaels, Kokopelli and First Street Haven. Lots of local shops. You should also check out the latest Sunset Magazine for the article about Port Angeles.
What a beautiful setting!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and our hosts Maureen and Joe very accommodating. Gorgeous views, quiet and close to everything! Highly recommend.
This is a wonderful property and the managers were great. The house was immaculate and held everything anyone would want or need, right down to sandwiches bags for our picnic lunch. The smoke from fires sometimes clouded the view but we still made use of the spotting scope to watch the ships. We enjoyed all the beautiful flowers and appreciate the timely return of the damage deposit. Would definitely rent this again.
Views were spectacular.
Beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Had everything we needed.
Comfort and serenity!
We absolutely loved our stay here! Maureen and Joe are very friendly and showed us around their lovely home as well as providing us with information about the area. We loved watching the various ships out the large picture windows. The telescope was great for spotting birds!
We definitely recommend this home if you’re planning to visit the Port Angeles area.
It was our pleasure to host you at our property. Thank you for leaving our home spotless.
What a charming home with charming hosts. Its a lovely home with an incredible view. We had gorgeous sunsets every night! Close enough to town also.
The property is situated above the Olympic Discovery Trail. Because of the high bank the trail is not visible or accessible from this property but there are access points which can be biked or driven to. The Olympic Discovery Trail is a beautiful paved and maintained water front trail which is home to the North Olympic Marathon. This trail can be biked or walked year around. This property is located 3 miles from the heart of downtown Port Angeles. There is easy access to Hurricane Ridge, Lake Sutherland and Lake Crescent, numerous wineries, Victoria (Coho/ Blackball) Ferry.
