Guestbook comments from the owner

Such an amazing place to come back to. As soon as we left last year, we knew we wanted to come back. Our girls just love the soft grass for gymnastics and the constant sea treasures found on the beach. We had fun filled days and relaxing nights with unparalleled views!! Thank you.

Beautiful and relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

This house is charming and cozy, with spectacular views and a lovely garden (I can only imagine how much more beautiful it would be in spring). It worked great for my family (mother and sister and I). Mom has mobility issues, so the fact that her walker worked was a big plus. The access to the bathroom is tight so it might not work for all people with mobility problems, but we really enjoyed our time here.

Heaven on earth

  • 5 of 5

The property is absolutely beautiful and extends down to the beach. The sand dollars are everywhere! The views are incredible and lots to do right on the property - horse shoes, badminton, croquet, lounge chairs everywhere, fire pit. You can walk down to the beach and a short walk takes you to the state park with tropical-looking hiking trails.

The kitchen is well stocked and nice mini market and restaurants 3 minutes away and regular market about 10.

It sleeps 4 comfortably and 2 more can sleep in the living room but we woke early to the sunrises over the Sound so if you're a light sleeper it might be hard. We were a group of 4 so it was perfect. The owners are awesome and greeted is with a tour, brownies and wine! We want to come back!

Stunningly Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

The photos of this property were beautiful, but even more so in person. The cottage was charming and quaint, including a tasteful mix of new/vintage furnishings. The surrounding gardens made it picture perfect. Inside had everything we needed including a boat schedule of the various vessels we would see going in/out of the Sound. We loved the view of the Sound from inside the house, as well as from the gazebo. July weather was perfect and we ate all our meals outside where we particularly loved the colorful picnic table. What a treat to pick wild black berries for breakfast, and cut flowers for the table. The owners have worked hard to keep the property beautiful in honor of the generations of loved ones who initially made this their home. I can't wait to go back!

No need to look further

This little cottage was more than we could have hoped for. My mother-in-law, our two college age kids, my husband and I couldn't have stayed anywhere more perfect. The photos don't capture the feeling this place will give you. My husband could have stayed in front of the windows all day watching the shipping vessels, barges, tugboats and fishing boats. I loved the flowers and cottage gardens. My mother-in-law with her limited mobility was content just to sit with her book in front of the windows. We walked down their path to the beach, explored low tide, and walked to Dash Point State Park where a maze of trails gave us more to explore. We hiked a loop trail on Mt. Rainer, rode a ferry from Anacortes to Friday Harbor, and enjoyed other sites in closer proximity. If you're looking for the feeling of comfort away from home, this is the place. Their old family photos and charming antique furniture added to the warmth that filled this house like a warm embrace. We hope that one day we have the opportunity to return.

This place was beyond our expectations. We will be back for sure!

My wife and I shared this vacation with our best friends and the time spent here was unforgettable. The photos do not do the landscape, the scenery, or the home itself justice. It had everything we needed and more. The owners were very accommodating and made the entire trip, from booking to farewell, an amazing experience. We will all definitely be returning!
