Thank you so much for your hospitality and gorgeous home. My husband and teenage son came to Seattle to visit our elder son and this couldn't have been more perfect for us. The views are outstanding, the house so well appointed with anything we could have needed. We only wish we could have spent more time here exploring the place. As I write this, we are awed by a gorgeous bald eagle peering down at us from a tall pine, wishing us safe journeys perhaps. We will be back.
This property is just Amazing. Debbie and Steve were great hosts! My family and I all enjoyed our stay very much!!
As many reviews say, pictures do not do the property justice. The views srd breathtaking and gardens are beautiful. The cottage itself was semi small depending on what you are used to. but it suited our needs perfectly. One thing I will say is that even though the cottage was slightly small it had everything you could possibly imagine available at your every fingertip and was nicely updated and very clean. we were traveling with a family of four with two children were quite pleased to find fans to black out noise at night and I have all the utensils and everything that we would need for dinners at home. all of the amenities were there anything that we could think of that we might have
forgotten is easily available to us to make it a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. although the owners lived next door they kept their privacy and we're available for us if we needed them to for anything that might arise in all it was all about location location location they were not far from Seattle – point Dash State Park or from Tacoma or other areas the south like Mt Rainer. Pictures will simply not do it justice on how beautiful the location really is. You can expect the next time that we are staying in the Seattle area (probably next year) we would be staying at the same location. as this home is truly a gem.
You can't go wrong staying at this cute home. The view is amazing and the yard is beautiful. Everything that was needed was in the house. On arrival we were greeted with homemade brownies and a nice bottle of red wine. The owners were friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend this cottage for your next vacation.
I chose this property when looking for a place to get away with small kids and an aging grandparent. It was PERFECT! The grounds were wonderful with ample spots to relax, beautiful views, flowers, breezes. We were able to enjoy nature from the yard while kids were napping and without asking grandpa to walk very far. Each nook of the yard yielded fun surprises, lovely soft grass to roll in, badminton and croquet and other games, flowers, fish pond, many spots to sit and relax and take in the views. The blackout shades on the windows worked great for kid naps. Our hosts were wonderful pointing out gems in the yard, like the ripe plums, providing a shipping schedule for container ships and pointing out an osprey soaring with a fish in it's talons. There was a short walk to the beach and some beach toys for the kids.
Other unexpected treats included seeing a Bald Eagle, the amazing hedge of ripe blackberries on the lane below the property (early August), which even toddlers could pick from. The kitchen was very well equipped and even had some party supplies that came in handy. We were able to add a bed in an adjacent cabin when more family decided to join us as well!
I look forward to coming back!
