Timber Ridge is a beautiful, hand-crafted, full scribe, non smoking log cabin built from Ponderosa Pine logs. Nestled on 100 acres of privately owned mountain top, Timber Ridge is the perfect getaway with gorgeous panoramic mountain views of Whitewood Canyon and Whitewood Creek. Right next door to the Black Hills National Forest, minutes away from Historic Deadwood, SD and Mickelson Trail. A scenic drive from Sturgis, Spearfish, Rapid City and National Monuments.

Spend your days relaxing in the two bedroom fully furnished cabin or enjoying all of the attractions/activities the Black Hills has to offer. Gold panning in Whitewood Creek, fly fishing, golfing, biking and sight seeing are just some of the many activities. Unwind from a long day of sight-seeing by watching the sunset from the outdoor hot tub.

One king sized bed in the spacious master bedroom and two twin beds in the loft make Timber Ridge perfect for a family getaway or a quiet romantic weekend. All the comforts of home: fully furnished kitchen, outdoor bbq grill, full sized washer and dryer, television, wood burning stove as well as a gas fire place. The large deck, bar and hot tub are perfect for entertaining guests during your stay.

Black Hills Paradise

Charlie & Jody were gracious hosts and the house provided panoramic views. We were close to all that the Black Hills has to offer and we will definitely be back.

Best in the Black Hills

This place absolutely made our vacation! From the 5 star hosts, to the amazing views from the hot tub, this cabin was amazing. The location is private, the whole place was clean and comfortable, the only drawback was having only had one week here! Can’t wait to come back!

Spectacular View and Great Cabin Home

Wonderful hosts, very clean and cozy. Everything needed was in the kitchen. Wish we were still there! Wildlife everywhere, owners dog, Steamboat, visited daily.

Great location

The place was great. The only issue was that we emptied the cistern, but the owner took care of the issue the same day while we were out. I would recommend this for anyone visiting the black hills.

We feel so fortunate to have found this spot! The views are INCREDIBLE, the cabin was comfortable and well-appointed, and the hot tub can’t be beat. We even got a visit from Steamboat! It’s super close to Deadwood (just a few minutes from the Lodge) yet secluded enough to feel away from it all. Even the drives to and from the cabin were dreamy. Close enough to see the sights and grab a bite, but with all the amenities if you’d rather stay in and cook in the cabin. Thanks for everything!

Great mountain getaway

This cabin was wonderful and met our needs perfectly! The view from the deck in the evenings was perfect! Saw many shooting stars sitting in the hot tub! The location was great for going to either Spearfish or Deadwood! Lots of wildlife to enjoy! Our son, who is 5, had the time of his life and really enjoyed visits from the owners dog, Steamboat! Overall great cabin!

Pictures don't do it justice

We wanted a place to stay that was away from crowds, that would serve as a home base to see the sights in the Black Hills and this cabin was perfect. The hot tub added to our serenity and was used 5 of the 7 nights we were there. The views of the canyon were jaw dropping and unforgettable. I highly recommend this property to couples or small families.

Perfect cabin

This cabin was wonderful. The view, the hot tub, the peacefulness, the wildlife all of it was amazing. The hosts were great. We had to reach out once and they were very quick to respond! Highly recommend this location! The only part that was not perfect, was having to leave. Thank you to the Browns for a wonderful week! And the fresh veggies 😋

Peaceful Getaway

If you like privacy, this place is for you! My husband and I stayed here with our dog and couldn't have had a better time! The owners were wonderful - always quick to respond to our messages:) The cabin was clean, cozy, and well stocked with anything we needed. Most days we were out hiking, fishing, or sightseeing and by the end of the day we were relaxing in the hot tub. And WHAT A VIEW!! We would definitely come back for another stay!!

Great place to stay

The location was on top of a tall hill in a pine forest. Only the owner's cabin nearby. Although isolated, the cabin was only 10 - 15 minutes from Spearfish, S.D. Everything in the cabin was as promised. The kitchen was well equipped. The bedroom had a king size bed. The large deck had a very nice hot tub which we used daily.

Amazing views and very secluded

Cabin was well maintained and clean. View was incredible and you really felt like you were in the middle of nowhere but it was still a quick drive to deadwood. Several visits from Steamboat (the dog) which was amazing, he is such a sweet doggy. Saw lots of deer and even a golden eagle. Would highly recommend!!! Better than the pictures!

Black Hills and Spearfish

Stunning location. Very livable cabin. Hot tub seats six. Large deck. Easy access. Short drives into Deadwood and Spearfish. Perfect for takeout runs. Definitely peaceful and remote yet with modern comforts. Great place to slow down and watch wildlife and the weather.

This is the most beautiful VRBO cabin in the most beautiful setting we have had the pleasure of staying at. It's on private property on a road that ends 1/4 mile up at the owners home - so no traffic. The silence was wonderful - only one evening of our week there did we see or hear any airplanes. The view from the deck and from the master bedroom is down a pristine mountain valley. Charlie was quickly responsive the few times we had questions. We did much less sightseeing than we had expected to because it was so pleasant and refreshing to just hangout at the cabin. We hope to be able to return to again enjoy the cabin. And, yes, it's a beautifully constructed, genuine log cabin.

Beautiful Cabin

We rented this beautiful cabin for a week with our two dogs. We found it to be a very warm and cozy after our day adventures, sitting in the hot tub and enjoying the deck watching the deer. We even had a sweet visit from Steamboat the owners dog❤️ The owners welcomed us when we arrived and made sure we were settled in, had their number with any questions we had during the stay. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in this area from VT. We give a 5 star for sure.

Very Nice Cabin on Quiet Hilltop

The cabin had everything we needed including the owners dog who would come down to visit on occasion. He was so friendly and even hung out with in the house for awhile. That was a welcome treat. The view was so nice and it had the privacy we were seeking. It would have been nice to walk down to the creek, but realized when we got there that that wasn't actually on the property. We were looking forward to that. And the area was rather steep which prevented more walks thru the woods, maybe for younger hikers ;). Overall we were very pleased and would recommend it to anyone.

There are no words to express the view from this cabin! This property is secluded, quiet, well maintained, beautiful views, lots of wildlife and a helpful property owner. Everything we could have asked for. If given the chance we will definitely be back!

Amazing getaway

Incredible views, wildlife, and seclusion. Cabin is close to Deadwood and Spearfish, so tons to do if you want to get off the property. We will definitely be back. Give Steamboat a rub for us if you decide to visit.

Beautiful property!

We had a great 40th anniversary trip to the cabin. Charles & Jody were great hosts and make sure you have everything you need, but give you privacy during the stay. Very clean cabin and secluded for a peaceful, relaxing trip. The hottub was an added bonus after a day of sightseeing.

2nd time as great as the 1st

We stayed in this cabin last year and really enjoyed it. Same this year. Hot tub is amazing after a day of hiking. Side note - there are patio door coverings. If light bothers you when sleeping / in the morning, you may want to bring along a sleep mask or you will be waking up at dawn.
