This newly remodeled cottage is clean, fresh, and inviting. Linens are provided, along with a starter kit of basic necessities (toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels etc.). The friendly local grocery stores, dollar store, bakeries and gas station are just a quick drive away. Enjoy the spacious backyard under the spreading island oak trees, relax on the sunny front porch with a good book, fire up the grill and unwind! Cape Hatteras is one of the most unique areas in the world. Tranquil Tides Retreat provides the perfect home base to make your Outer Banks vacation a fun and memorable family getaway!

Tranquil Tides is a great place to stay. It is perfectly clean and well appointed. The owners are very pleasant and easy to contact. Couldn't ask for more.

New year vacation

Heather and Kelly were great. We had a wonderful very relaxing stay. A lot of the attractions were closed for the month of January, but we visited the grounds of the lighthouses, took the ferry to Ocracoke, visited the Wright Brothers Memorial, and the beach.
