Located above the Russian River but not with direct access, this serene and secluded second-story retreat is sure to be the highlight of your next visit to Forestville! Venture out a bit and discover several local attractions, including numerous parks, Johnson's Beach, the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, and the Northwood Golf Club, as well as popular wineries like Korbel, Woodenhead, and Martinelli, all within 10 miles of this property.

Inside, discover a great room capped by a soaring, cathedral ceiling of rich, knotty wood. Prepare all your favorite recipes in the sunlit, full kitchen and then dine at the adjacent table - perfect for rainy day board games! For alfresco dining, step out onto the multi-tiered deck (complete with a safety gate for kids), fire up the gas grill, and enjoy meals in the shade of the soaring redwoods. Out here, twinkling string lights hang above your very own hot tub for relaxing soaks. Back inside, gather in the living area on the cozy, snuggly sofa, switch on the stone gas fireplace, and watch TV or dive into one of the many provided books. Kid-friendly extras include a Pack 'n Play, high chair, sandbox, and toys.

The lush, private yard and convenient river access make this one of the most private properties on the river.

Things to Know
The entrance to this home is on the second level. The staircase has 28 steps to get to the upstairs entrance
Due to recent flooding and erosion, river access is via a ladder and may not be suitable for all guests.
A tub insert for the shower is provided for younger visitors.
Check-in time: 4:00 PM.
Check-out time: 10:00 AM.
All guests shall abide by The Good Neighbor Policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Children under three years of age do not count toward the maximum occupancy.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). easy to find and access, had several supplies for children, kitchen is well stocked and knives are sharp. There are a lot stairs to the front door and the traffic noise was noticeable. Overall a very nice place to spend a weekend!

River Cabin Getaway

Enjoyed well appointed and equipped cabin with beautiful views and privacy. Nestled in the woods with huge redwoods around the deck. Good for two couples + a kids room (which we did not use). Right off the River Road! Take care exiting the driveway onto the River Road!

Awesome Private Hideaway Cottage

Had a very cozy and private time in this property. Everything was as described, hot tub was excellent, kitchen was excellent, chill area couch was excellent. Small house is dramatically nestled into a set of giant redwood trees.A few things that weren't clear from the listing :- There is no management on premises, it is a standalone unit, not an ADU.- The master bedroom/living room/kitchen are heated by the fireplace in the main room, whereas the other bedrooms have their own temperature control.- There really isn't full access to the river, it's overgrown/blocked off. But there is a very nice view of it!Location was very convenient to Sebastopol, Santa Rosa, and other surrounding towns.

Quaint & Quiet Get-away

I stayed with my significant other for a couple days. The driveway/entrance comes up suddenly and dips down, so I would definitely recommend taking a vehicle with higher ground clearance. The local cell service was poor (as communicated), so we just downloaded driving directions using the WIFI before leaving and we didn't run into any problems. There is not much in the immediate area and it is not "walkable", so I would recommend having a personal vehicle or rental. We did, and we loved how close we were to the surrounding Vineyards. We had an amazing time. It was a relaxing, quiet, and romantic atmosphere.

Pretty Sweet Getaway

Me and my partner stayed for 8 days, the place has cozy wood cabin vibes, pretty spacious, and super quiet at night. There's a fully stocked kitchen which we appreciated as we made dinner a couple times, the bed was very comfy - just the right amount of firmness, and the hot tubb was a nice touch which we made good use of almost nightly. The area was ideal - private driveway that steers a good distance from the road, and a 15-20 minute drive from local restaurants, which were superb (def check out Boon Eat + Drink and Mainstreet Bistro). The river is very close too, and there are a few beaches all within driving distance, def recommend you go river rafting, but make sure to bring water shoes as the beaches are all rocky. All in all a very pleasant and relaxing stay, highly recommended!

They cancelled 1/2 hr prior to check in. Shouldn’t be allowed. We had just finished a 7 hr drive and we were very upset. Not professional and shouldn’t be allowed to do that with your service.

It would have helped if there had been information on how many steps into the building My husband and I both have arthritis in our knees There was no information about the volume on the TV so we had to skip programs that we would have liked to watch The blanket on the bed was extremely heavy

I’ll start with what I liked - it’s quiet, secluded, and the primary space is open (kitchen and living room). But unfortunately, an hour after arriving, we found 4 security cameras. 1st pointed at the front door (outside), 2nd pointed towards back door and area with outdoor seating (outside), and 3rd pointed towards grill and hot tub (outside), and the there is another camera facing the stairwell to front door. These cameras are hard to see/notice b/c they are black and are located under the eves which are dark in color. The listing does not disclose any type of surveillance/security camera usage nor is there a tenant handbook that discloses these devices which is s direct violation of vacasa and vrbo rules and regulations. We have taken pictures and have been in contact with vacasa (property management company) and filed a report with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Dept.There is no mention of this being stairs only access - roughly 18-20 stairs to access front door.Trying to drive off the property is extremely dangerous as one cannot see well to the left or right. Most properties have a mirror to allow drivers to see traffic easier.There are kids play-sets and chairs scattered around the property.The fireplace did not work. and I did not receive a call back from the management company. Master bedroom does not have heat. The oven is filthy and the shower needs to be re-caulked because there is mold.Would we recommend this to anyone - absolutely not.
