I hjertet af den russiske flod Vin Valley-Attic på Røde Chateau er placeret på øverste etage i et gammelt flodhus med egen indgang. Ved indrejse har du det som om du har trådt ind i et charmerende træhus i skoven. Med over 600 kvadratfod og moderne bekvemmeligheder har pladsen unikke vinkler, interessant design, mange vinduer med udsigt over skoven og vandfaldet, herunder smukke gamle "løbende glas" afrundede vinduer. Selvom det ikke er et slot og ikke længere rødt, er navnet forblevet siden 1929. Rummet inviterer dig til at krølle op i vinduet med hjørnevinduet med en bog eller drikke vin i opholdsområdet foran komfuret for en hyggelig vinter afslapning. For de varmere måneder er der et privat dæk, og et spor tæt ved det fører dig til en sandstrand på den russiske flod, hvor svømning, kajak og solbadning er populære - omkring 7 minutters gang gennem Steelhead Beach State Park. Den ideelle beliggenhed giver dig mulighed for at vove enhver retning for en overflod af vingårde, gode restauranter og masser af sommer sjov og aktiviteter. Elektrisk parkeringsplads.

The Attic is a cozy cabin getaway. The window views to the lush trees make you feel like you’re in a treehouse! Perfect location for a weekend wine getaway.

Relaxation in the Trees

A hillside gem! A few steps up to the sunny deck before entering the quaintly appointed pied-à-terre. Windowed on all sides give view to lush treetops. Trickling water from the koi pond below adds to its charm. A short drive to Healdsburg!

Being completely honest

I really wanted to love this place. Getting there was rough. Even though I had to printed instructions, I went in circles. Turned out my gps was correct. Parking was very tight and I had to block in a car that I didn't know was staying put. The Home i nice and very clean BUT, the kicker for me was the step inside. The bedroom, bathroom and living area are all a step down. That means, if in bed, you step up walk to the bathroom and then step back down. This is a HIGH step. Im 5'2" so stubbed by toe multiple times. I had booked the location thinking I was close to Sebastapol and comfortable driving distance from San Francisco while also beign on the river. That is not true. San Francisco is a 2 hour drive. Additionally you can not see the river from the house. You have to drive to it. My last issue was the privacy. There are lots of windows which are beautiful but there are no coverings so it felt very revealing. It looks to be a wonderful apartment and I can see it being comfortable for a person but, myself with my 18 yo son, we were not comfortable.

A very happy secluded find. Just as the pictures depict. Clean and comfortable. Well-appointed with everything you might require. Reasonably close to excellent wineries and restaurants. Russ, the host, is friendly and kind. You will be happy you made this choice.

Fabulous stay

This was the 3rd time stayed at The Attic. Russ is a fantastic host who always makes sure we are comfortable and settled. Perfect place to enjoy all the wonders of The Russian River.

Slice of Heaven

We loved our stay at The Attic celebrating our 48th Wedding Anniversary. You feel as if you’re in a beautiful, well appointed, cozy tree house in the middle of a forest. Loved the furnishings and decor. Your every need has been well thought out and provided. Russ is a fantastic host and is available if you should ever need him.Enjoyed two wineries in particular that were about 20 min away: Wilson and De La Montanya. Picked up deli sandwiches at Big John’s market in Healdsburg and picnicked at DLM—very beautiful gardens! Nice to have The Attic to come home to. My new favorite place to stay!

A quant quiet stay in wine and river country

We had a great long weekend stay. Conveniently located near some great wineries and restaurants. There’s good hiking nearby. If you’re planning a canoe trip in the summer this place is ideally located. Our host made us feel welcomed. A super nice guy. I would stay again next time I’m there.

Great spot for a get away!

The Attic was very impressive. You are surrounded by trees and it almost feels like a comfy, cozy treehouse. Russ was a great host and solved a little check-in issue without any drama and we had an amazing time. The place is completely outfitted with everything you would need and has lots of beautiful and thoughtful touches. The location was perfect for us to get out and about in nature and we enjoyed hikes. redwoods and the Russian River. You ae also in the heart of one of the best wine areas in the world

Beautiful and Cozy Gem

What a hidden gem! We absolutely loved the space. It was cozy with the little nooks and extra touches. Wonderful little tea selection and tray and a little decanter of port were complimentary. Bathroom was wonderful with a skylight and a duel headed shower. We loved sitting out

Such a darling place.

My partner and I adored this place! It's in a beautiful location, while still being close to many sites. The Attic is cozy, clean and comfortable, with all you might need. Plus you are surrounded everywhere by trees and it's so peaceful. It was a lovely way to spend our weekend getaway.

Perfect Stay at The Attic!

What a cool little spot - the unit is outfitted with everything you need, and nothing you don't need. The location is awesome, it's right near Steelhead Beach and a few miles from both Forestville and Guerneville. The unit does get a little hot being on the top floor, but a few fans and open windows make it perfect in the evening. Was even able to cook a few meals there. Absolutely 10/10 and will definitely return. Thanks Russ for the communication and assistance during the stay, can't wait to come back!

Just a lovely little place to stay. Russ was a perfect host. The Attic was perfect for the 2 of us. A great position and close to all amenities. Loved the decor and the outlook. So good that we are staying again in a couple of weeks.

I have lived in the Russian River Wine Valley several years. I enjoy traveling, new adventures and exploring, wine tasting, kayaking on the Russian River and Jenner Bay, hiking the forest and the coast, hunting wild mushrooms, making soap and various herb tinctures and I love cooking, particularly vegan dishes. I also have a love for Mexico and try and spend as much time there that I can.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

The location is centrally located in the heart of Russian River Wine Valley. Central to Healdsburg, Guerneville, Sebastopol and Santa Rosa and best of all, close to the Wine Road. I liked that the property is adjacent to Steelhead State Park and the Russian River and that you have views out of every window into the forest. I love the proximity to the coast. Sonoma County boasts an abundance of gourmet cuisine.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

This is no cookie cutter house. I like the uniqueness, the old river feel and charm, and the many nooks and crannies. The old antique windows overlooking the forests sets the ideal ambiance for that getaway from it all feel and welcomes relaxation.
