The cabin was clean, well appointed and the furniture was really nice. It had floor to ceiling windows with a killer view! We wanted to relax and relish in the peace and quiet of the scenic ranch. This place did not disappoint!

The property and the grounds are an excellent condition. A perfect getaway in a very quiet, peaceful environment with the town of Wimberley a short distance away.

The house was perfect. If you are looking for remote and peaceful, this is the place. Amazing views! It is a little hard to find, so make sure to use the GPS provided. But we loved that it was very secluded.

Everything was wonderful. Went for a girls trip and got to really relax. However, the property was very difficult to find at first. I would recommend making the address easier to see from the road. We also tried to use the DVD player but were unable to figure out all the remotes. I think labeling the remotes would be useful. Other than that, we had an absolute blast and we will likely stay here again. The house was very nice and clean and cool when we arrived. I loved the fact that it had covered parking for the vehicle. Overall, it was a great place to stay and just relax!

Well-Hidden Gem

Fantastic property! Finding it was a nightmare that required contacting the rental company for specific directions. Once we found it, it was smooth sailing…. The hot tub was warm & welcoming. The kitchen was spotlessly clean. Furniture was soft & comfortable. We hope to stay there again in the future.

My group thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful home and views, flowers. The first time we drove up the path, we were a bit intimidated, but after that, we were fine. Kitchen was well appointed, plenty of towels in the BRs. What can I say. Loved, loved, loved it.

Peaceful

This is our favorite property we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. The seclusion and peacefulness are unmatched. Close enough to town. Hosts were great and very responsive. So sad to leave. We definitely hope to come back.

The mile road

It’s a beautiful place. Great views paired excellent with the hot tub. We did have some hiccups: first off - DO NOT listen to google maps once you’re on the main FM road. Keep going and look for the rock with the address. Secondly, once you’re in the gate, be ready to drive another mile or so on a gravel road. The path is a little worn in, but there are also roaming cattle and a dip in the road. There is another gate blocking the cattle from getting on to the property. The area is HUGE. Lots of space to play outdoor games. While we were there, the weather would clear up by midday making room for amazing afternoons. It was super windy, the hot tub made it feel great! But did make trouble for using the fire pit - we did eventually get that going but bring fire starters in case of wind lol. The fire pit area has comfortable seating and great space to look right up at the star-filled sky. Inside is also pretty with a big kitchen. Figuring out the switches around the house was interesting. They do have a laundry room but bring your own detergent! Really appreciated that the place was stocked with towels and pretty much anything else you’d need. The morning we were packing to go, a spider landed in my hair. So definitely watch out for creepy-crawlies! It was super relaxing and fantastic Valentine’s weekend.

Country Retreat

We loved the location of the home. The trick here is to want to be secluded and quiet. We are ranch people and loved having the option to be away from town a bit. I would say you need to be aware to bring everything you will need. That is in reference coffee, tea, basics of anything in the kitchen. None of those items were provided and you do not want to have to make a trip back to town for them. Is a great space for one to 6 persons wanting peace and nature.

The home was very clean and perfect for our needs. The views were fabulous. The only drawback is that the hot tub could use a cleaning. There was a sediment ring at the top of the water and the hot tub interior was very slippery.

Review of Property

The house and property are beautiful. The road to the house was not expected.. taking bigger vehicles would have been ideal. The cows were not mentioned in the listing and a bit terrifying when they are blocking the gate. Also, the gate to exit wouldn’t work sometimes so we had to figure out other ways to open it. This house was a good experience just would have enjoyed more if we weren’t a group of girls.

Beautiful seclusion

Beautiful views and zero neighbors, This property sits on top of a hill and off the road down a mile long gated driveway. Very comfortable place. Nice beds and well equipped. Both hot tub and grill worked. Only thing that may put someone off is you have to drive your trash all the way to the road to put in the cans. I would stay here anytime

Beautiful getaway

This was an absolutely beautiful house and location! the views were incredible. It's about a 20 min drive from downtown Wimberley, so you can get to dinner or shopping very quickly! The only tip I would offer for future guests is to check the hot tub temperature when you get there as it takes a while to heat up! We waited too late to check it the first night we got in, by the time we got it out of sleep mode it was only at 81. took about 40 min for it to go up 7 degrees and we ended up not being able to use it the first night- so make sure you check right away so you can fully enjoy the amenities! The fireplace was broken when we arrived but we were at least notified ahead of time. When we checked in we received a text that had a number for us to message if we needed anything during business hours, which was nice! They were quick and very responsive!

Great place to relax with friends

We had a wonderful time relaxing with friends at this great property. The area is peaceful and quiet, and we enjoyed visiting the nearby barbecue places and bars. Although we did encounter some bugs, such as scorpions and tarantulas, it’s not uncommon to find them in this setting. We made sure not to disturb them, and they didn’t bother us either. We’re looking forward to returning to this location with friends in the future.

Cabin was not up to our expectations

The cabin was very dirty, I took me 2 hours to clean all the floors, cutlery and crockery was dirty and we had to loaded the dishwasher with everything before we could prepare a meal. Every surface was covered in dust, it looked as though no one had been in the property for months We also had live Scorpions in the Childrens bedroom and bathroom. Spoke to the property manager and she arranged to have the cabin sprayed the next day and also said a cleaning crew would come out to wash floors, said they wouldn’t vacuum all the dead bugs from under the beds as that would be classed as a deep clean so we did it ourselves. I took photos and sent them to the property manager suggesting that the whole place needed a deep clean. We left the property a day early

Peaceful and quiet

Overall it was great. Disappointed that we had no Wi-Fi the entire stay (4 nights) and the hot tub was disappointing. It is not a brand new one as listed in the description. But it worked. I will say that Hill Country Premier Lodging was superb at communicating with us. It seemed to be as issue with the owner and the Wi-Fi problem. I felt like we should have received some kind of small refund because of the Wi-Fi. Also the scorpions were a big problem. One fell on me from opening the drapes and one crawled up my husbands leg and stung him. That being said, when you’re out with dry, arid climate critters are to be expected. But 10 was a bit much. Hill Country did say they would TRY to get someone out to spray, but it was close to the end of our trip. I would stay there again but would check with them first about the issues we experienced.

Secluded

Nice home on a beautiful piece of property. Secluded, yet close enough to shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed the back patio for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. The GPS coordinates they sent us took us to the wrong gate. We found the correct gate a few gates down (going away from Wimberley). The correct gate has the address of the property on a flat rock at the entrance of the driveway. We will definitely stay here again.
