Welcome to Gillian’s Room — a charming hotel-style stay in beautiful Summerland, CA! This cozy unit is perfect for a quick coastal getaway, featuring a comfy queen bed, private full bathroom, and an easy kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, plates & cups. Step outside to enjoy the shared outdoor patio, then explore downtown Summerland just minutes away for cafés, dining, and local shops. Ocean views are right around the corner!

Enter from the parking lot side, where beautiful vines wrap the exterior and set the tone for a charming coastal stay. Inside you’ll find a comfy queen bed, a private full bathroom, and a convenient kitchenette stocked with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee setup, plus plates and cups for easy meals and morning pick-me-ups.

Step outside to enjoy the shared outdoor patio, perfect for sipping coffee and relaxing after a beach day. We also provide complimentary bottled water upon entry and coffee to help you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.

Disclosures: Please note this unit shares one wall with another tenant and sits near the road, so you may hear some outside noise at times.

Pet rules:
- Pets must stay off furniture, use restroom outside, and not be left alone in the unit. Violations or damages may result in a fee.
- 1 dog welcome (no other animals without prior host approval)

Trash Day is Friday mornings and Gardeners come by every other Friday in the mornings

Gillian's Cottage is great for a short stay. The host was great to communicate with and answered all questions or concerns. The place was clean and cozy. Unknown to the host at the time, the coffee pot did not work, so missed early habit of coffee first thing in the morning. Other than that, all was great!

Overall: Not a good experience. Poor Quality.Doorframes were crooked which led to drafts in the room. Didn't advertise poor construction of room either. For over 200 a night, I felt my value could have been better spent at a motel 6. Towels had stains and the bed was semi dirty. Lots of pill bugs wandering the bathroom.

Quiet little getaway

Cozy on the slightly cramped side. Ok for a quiet getaway not too far from the ocean. Check tide charts if you plan on enjoying the beach. Great host with excellent communication.

Summerland Getaway

This cute cottage holds true to the description & gave us everything we were looking for! Location can’t be beat; walking distance to shops, park & beach. Quiet neighborhood up on a hill but in need of alittle TLC.

Tiny place. Kitchen and bath barely enough room to turn around in. I had difficulties with a couple of temporary problems: No chair to sit on - anywhere (landlord says it was out for repairs - but still... a temporary arrangement would have helped since nowhere to sit while putting on my shoes). Large heavy packages had been delivered... blocked the single small parking place..,too heavy for me to move much. Challenging to park. Told landlord, but nothing was done. Kitchen has no water supply. No directions for operating coffee maker and everthing in kitchen set up for very tall person (which I am not). Suggest landlord be at least a little attentive to guest needs.
