Amenities: Our studio sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults/2 kids maximum. The unit is fully remodeled and has 1 queen size bed. The sofa has a pullout full size bed. There is 1 bathroom with a shower/bath. Linens and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, cooking utensils and dishes.

There is free WiFi Internet and flat screen Cable TV. This condo is our second home so it is well furnished and maintained.

Internet: High Speed Cable Internet access is FREE

No Smoking: Smoking is not permitted.

Lanai: The unit opens into a small lanai that offers ocean and city views.

Pool/Spa: On the roof of the building is a heated pool and spa. There are magnificent views of Waikiki from the pool deck. At night the spa is a great place to relax and enjoy the night sky. The floor below has a sauna, showers, restrooms and party room with ice machine.

Area Info

500 Feet from Waikiki Beach,the building is in the heart of all the action but condo is high enough so that street noise is minimal.2 Blocks from International Market Place and behind the Hyatt Hotels.

The parking garage is located on floors 2 to 5 of the Pacific Monarch building. Payment can be made using credit cards on a machine.

Laundry: A coin-operated laundry room is available on the 3rd floor.

Bus: Bus transportation is very convenient. There is a bus stop right next to the Pacific Monarch. Buses come by every few minutes and can take you to most major places on Oahu. The bus is particularly convenient for transportation to the Ala Moana Shopping Center.

Conveniences: Adjacent to or across the street from the Pacific Monarch are 3 convenience stores and 3 restaurants. There is a popular barbecue restaurant, steak house and café. The Hyatt Regency is next door with its high-end restaurants. Fast food restaurants are right around the corner. The International Market Place is just 2 blocks away and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center is 3 blocks away. Kapiolani Park is located at the end of Waikiki with its many attractions including the Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, tennis courts and sports fields. A travel desk is located in the lobby for tours and local attractions.

Beach: Waikiki beach is a “very short” walk. Just walk past the Hyatt Regency and you’re there!. Enjoy an evening stroll on Kapiolani Blvd and you are home within minutes.

Great location at a good price!

Overall my stay here was great, the staff (Jeannie) was awesome and very helpful. The location is in the heart on Waikiki, walking distance to the international market and Waikiki Beach. The only downside I had was the AC didn't work very well but staff was helpful and tried to repair it. It was a little better but still got warm in the room. Also if you park your car in the garage be careful, because if you don't put the parking ticket exactly how they want it they will tow it and it will cost you about $230. Even if you buy a parking pass. The last thing that wasn't good was that the pool and hot tub were under construction so we could not use it. There was no notification of this. It would've been nice to have a pool but you are literally two minutes from Waikiki Beach so I guess it was OK.

I would recommend this place. It's nice and clean and it's in a great location. Plus the staff was amazing. Mahalo!

Supreme view

I have been to Waikiki many times and since I swim at this end of the beach I thought it would make sense to look for a unit at this end. The unit is very close to the beach and this is what you want when in Waikiki. You don't want to be lugging your beach gear for blocks. The view from the unit is beautiful and what was a bonus was to be able to open the sliding doors all the way open and get a gorgeous breeze, especially at night. The view is stunning if you go up to the rooftop. I meant to take a picture from there but forgot. The unit is small but it is tastefully decorated, clean and in good condition. I loved the bed, very comfy. I definitely would recommend this unit. Check in and check out - a breeze.

Great , affordable Waikiki Condo

We stayed at this very affordable condo for 5 nights in January 2017. The condo was great, with very nice furnishings, a comfortable bed , free Wi-Fi, Netflix and a small balcony with a view of the ocean. The unit looks exactly as the pictures display. The kitchen area was small with a microwave, 2 stove top elements, mini bar sized fridge and provided most of the basic essentials (just missing a kettle) and it would have been nice to have a box of Kleenex. The roof top pool area was very clean and provided an even a better view of the ocean. The Aqua Pacific Monarch is in a great location , only two short blocks to the beach and the Duke Kahanamoku statue and central to pretty much everything. Some great inexpensive restaurants close by that I would highly recommend include the Me's Bar-b-que across the street and the little stone oven pizza place located next door at the Aqua Bamboo Waikiki hotel. Bring your own beer or wine (just not glass) and enjoy your pizza by their beautiful pool area. And of course you have to visit the Cheesecake Factory only a few blocks away on Kalakaua - huge menu with very large portions and for a restaurant with great sea food, ocean views and sunsets I highly recommend Dukes Waikiki located in the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort , make sure you save room for their Kimo's Original Hula Pie. Lastly if you want to rent a car for a day trip around the island - Alamo rental car is less than a block away on Kaiulani Ave - book in advance.

Everything we needed

PERFECT location. It is close to everything, most importantly just 2 short blocks from the beach. Restaurants all around, grocery only a few blocks away and shopping all within walking distance. The room is exactly like the pictures. The lanai/deck is very small. WI-FI worked perfectly. There is also Netflix but we never used it. Both the bed and pull out are comfortable. You must try the Korean BBQ across the street (ME BBQ). It is SO good. We went several times. Also, if you want to learn to surf go visit MOKU Surf (a block away). The folks there are great!

My only suggestions: * The shower curtain needs to be replaced (musty) and a liner added. * I know it's difficult to keep the birds off the lanai but it still needs to be cleaned between guests. * More towels * More communication regarding check in and check out

All in all the room worked out fine. I would stay again and I would recommend it to others.

Perfect Location

The location cannot be beat. It is 2 short blocks to the beach and lots of restaurants and shopping within blocks. A few notable are ME BBQ (a must), Ruffage, Tucker & Beevy and Marukame. Also visit Leonard's Bakery & Ono Seafood a short drive away. The beach is amazing and be sure to grab floaties from one of the million ABC stores on the beach. The room was a good fit for our group and was pretty much as advertised. There was a bit of a miscommunication with getting into the room but was quickly remedied. The bathroom does have some cosmetic issues and could use some updates to the linens. The shower curtain was not the cleanest and the bathroom rugs are a bit dated and cheap. The same could be said for the bedding. Some of the blankets and sheets were stained which made me question if they were cleaned properly. The balcony area could also use a good cleaning and maybe a deterrent for the pigeons. Lots of bird poop. Though the amazing view makes up for it. I enjoyed having a city, mountain and ocean view. These issues were not deal breakers but could use some attention. The front desk staff are also amazing which helped make the stay at Pacific Monarch enjoyable and definitely a 2nd stay next time I am in Honolulu.

Great Condo

Perfect location ,close to beach and shops Condo was clean . Some handles on Kitchen cupboards need to be fixed and handle on sliding door to balcony needs to be tightened over all very good value and would stay ther agin if returning to Hawaii. Would recommend to friends
