Bring ear plugs

  • 3 of 5

Apartment is very nicely appointed and in a central close location. Wine, milk, juice, coffee, tea, sugar were all provided. Excellent wifi. However, the city is building a major metro/train station right outside the apartment. We endured 4 of 5 days of heavy machinery, jackhammers, and drills day and night. Work started at 7am and lasted 12 hours and then a crew change for the night shift. There are about 5 restaurants surrounding the building that are popular hang outs and loud talking can be heard past midnight. I would put in my earplugs which helped me get to sleep. IF there had not been all this LOUD noise I would have rated this a 5. You are forewarned.

Perfect Parisian Apartment

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is perfect in so many ways! It is beautifully furnished, with huge windows--so much light! The kitchen is well equipped, and having 2 bathrooms is a plus. It was spacious, incredibly clean, and so comfortable. The location can not be beat- close to transportation and an easy walk to so many sights and restaurants- I don't think I would stay anywhere else when in Paris. It was great to have an elevator in the building and Rocco was a pleasure to work with. Be aware that there is a lot of construction going on right next door. This is not an issue if you are out all day as we were. I could have stayed in this apartment forever!

A big, charming apartment with a great location for touring Paris

  • 5 of 5

My family spent a great weekend at Rocco's place. It was our first time using VRBO and Rocco made it easy; he was flexible about our arrival time and was there to let us in and explain everything when we arrived. It was my kids' first time in Paris and the location was perfect for people aiming to see the classic sights: an easy walk to the Louvre, the Pompidou, and Notre Dame, and the subway at Les Halles is just steps away. And the market shops of the Rue Montorgeuil are a 10-minute walk at most; in the morning you can stock up with fresh bread and cheese and have a great breakfast with a view of the city. (And if you don't want to walk even 10 minutes the boulangerie right across the street is good too.)

Staying with our kids, it was a nice luxury to have two bathrooms. The pull-out couch was comfortable and plenty big enough for our 11-year-old and 6-year-old, and there's a nice partition you can pull shut so whoever's sleeping on the couch doesn't get woken up by whoever's moving around the apartment. Small but functional kitchen, and Rocco is kind enough to leave bottled water, crackers, and jam for his guests. Everything was in perfect working order.

If I have any small warning it's that there's a bit of noise at night -- probably unavoidable in such a central location! I could hear people talking on the street and recorded announcements from the train station until pretty late. But I'm a light sleeper and I'm the only one who noticed; it didn't bother my wife and kids at all.

GREAT stay in a GREAT place!

  • 5 of 5

From the first moment through to the last, we had a wonderful stay at the apartment!

Rocco was terrific in communications and directions! He even escorted me from the metro station where I mistakenly exited a couple blocks away from the apartment! Well above and beyond what might be expected! I very much appreciated his kindness!

Well appointed and quite comfortably sized, the apartment had everything we needed. The location could not be better for doing all the tourist attractions. There is a queen sized bed which was a selling point for us as most places only have full sized beds. Also having some TV channels in English was very nice. Wifi worked great and we even were able to do some laundry!

We highly recommend staying here with only one caveat; there is a lot of construction currently and if you are sensitive to that noise, be sure to ask if it has been completed yet. It is only during the day time and we didn't spend much time inside for it to trouble us so this might not be an issue for you.

We are so happy we stayed here and have already told our friends about it!

Many thanks to Rocco for stocking us with some essentials in the kitchen and rescuing me from my wrong turns!

Great place!!!

An Excellent Place to Stay in the 1st

  • 5 of 5

If you need a fully furnished, clean, and tastefully decorated one bedroom apartment and want to stay right in the middle of everything in Paris's 1st Arr., look no further than this wonderful apartment. It will easily accommodate more than two people, as it has in addition to the bedroom, two full bathrooms, separate dining and living rooms, and a fully equipped kitchen that includes a washing machine. Shopping, dining and a metro stop are all within a short walking distance, as well as a nearby farmers market. Rocco is the perfect and most helpful host who never failed to assist us with our many questions and changes. He met us when we first arrived at the apartment and walked us through all the operating details, and even arranged for a cab to take us back to the airport at the end of our way too short visit. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Paris.
