Solitude and Fun at Great Pond: The exclusive property sits on a knoll above your own private beach on Great Pond-- pristine, freshwater, sandy bottomed, warm and swimmable in the Cape Cod National Seashore. You will be away from it all, surrounded by pine forest and sand roads. Walking distance to the ocean. Private raft.

Fall / Winter / Spring / Summer : Stay in the Big House, gaze at the water, walk the sand roads, and spy on our resident heron as you nestle by the fireplace. Enjoy the quiet of Wellfleet as it returns to its roots as a sleepy fishing village. The insulated/heated Big House is a 3 bedroom home.

- Our property is two houses joined together. We call one house the Big House and one house the Summer Side.

- Mid Sept - April : Big House rental. Rentals are for the this insulated house only, sleeps 6. (VRBO rates are for Big House rental ONLY)
- May - mid Sept: Big House and Summer Side are rented together as one full property, sleeps 8-10. (VRBO rates are for Big House AND Summer Side rental)

- While almost a single level dwelling, there are 2-6 stairs at entrances and between rooms

- WIFI - due to secluded National Sea Shore Location, high speed internet is sometimes variable. (Guests have been successful with using cellphones to create a hotspot)

Great Pond Property - is two fully equipped houses joined as one, a blend of rustic and contemporary. The ‘Summer Side’ is the original cottage - full of Cape Cod charm and a huge screened-in porch. The ‘Big House’ was added in the 80’s. It is fully insulated / heated, has a window-lined living room and a gorgeous dining room that makes you feel you are eating outside. The 2 homes are connected by a hallway with a twin bedroom. Each home has private decks with views of the pond and a full kitchen. This lovely property is only one of three that are available to rent on Great Pond in the summer and the only one available to rent in the off season. Built by our family, this property has personal touches and a few Cape Cod quirks.


Summer (May - August): This wonderful “two vacation homes as one" is available to rent in its entirety for any week. It is a perfect vacation spot for a large family, two families or a multigenerational family gathering. For those who love to swim, this home is a paradise.

Summer rental include Big House AND Summer Side, sleeps a total of 8-10 people.

Summer Side House (May - mid Sept) :

- Has a rustic cabin feeling, a cozy Cape Cod classic (exposed wood, open ceilings)
