Parents and 5 year-old both had fun!

  • 5 of 5

This was such a unique experience, so much better than a hotel. Connie's breakfast was delicious and she even made train-shaped french toast for our little boy. All the comforts of home while still a peaceful stay in the woods. We walked each night to eat at the winery and our son loved the small rock store right around the corner. We thoroughly enjoyed the patio and hot tub. Also the North Pole amusement park, a mile up the road, was an amazing find and absolutely perfect to keep our son busy one day. Manitou Springs is a wonderful little town, also up the road. We took the short hike to the waterfalls and this was perfect too. So many surprises and fun finds on this trip, always returning at the end of the day to our little caboose! Don't give up the opportunity to stay in this little gem!

Cute little lodging area in great location.

  • 4 of 5

I had envisioned maybe a little bit more rural setting, not knowing completely surrounded by a very busy road and highway. Could hear traffic all the time. But overall Connie does try to make it very homey and the caboose has everything you need. Good location, close to a lot of different attraction.
