  • Wonderful home

"My family of 6 rented the Dusty Rose for our week long stay in Cripple Creek, Co. The home was perfect for our needs. Centrally located to area sight seeing opportunities, near to downtown, but not so close to be bothersome and excellent amenities! The owners were very accommodating as well. We had two vehicles, one of which was a truck camper and 2 trailers. We asked in advance and the owners were fine with us parking all of them on the property. The home was supplied with linens and towels as well as dishes and pots n pans. Having access to a washer and dryer was a huge plus! The hot tub was well kept, clean and the perfect temperature! We were in the hot tub within 30 minutes of our arrival. There is a guest book in the home that was fun to read and to add to. By reviewing the guest book, we obtained some good ideas for places to dine. At one point, we locked ourselves out of the house and the neighbors - who are also the care takers - were kind enough to let us in. Our stay at the Dusty Rose was our first vacation rental, but will not be our last! The price and convenience of a vacation rental is so much better than staying at a hotel. Having access to a kitchen ensures that a wonderful vacation will not be a budget buster! The entire process, from booking to check out - including a myriad of questions from me (I'm a bit of a control freak) was easy and smooth. Lauren answered all of my questions and never once seemed bothered. I cannot recommend this home - or owners - enough!"

  • Nice little cabin.

"Even though this cabin was amongst others, it felt very private. Wifi was great, kitchen fully stocked with essentials & the onsite washer/dryer was a plus. Here's the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Pillows are due to be changed as there was a strong odor. After the first night I rewashed the pillow cases & put the pillows in the dryer to fluff & hopefully sanitize. Helped with the smell. Also, too many fake flowers & greenery to gather dust. That's a problem for people like me who are allergic to dust. I'd also suggest the availability of an additional blanket as the one on the bed was a bit thin but the comforter was too big & heavy. I also don't like using a duvet/comforter up around my face when I'm not sure it gets laundered after each guest. Having said all that, it was still a nice peaceful place to spend a few days unwinding. We enjoyed walking around the property & especially visiting the labyrinth & seeing the views from the top of the hill. Deer visited us daily, even coming up on the porch & peering in thru the screen door. We saw rabbit, blue jays, & even a red fox."

"I want to give Michele the property agent kudos for doing a awesome job of recommending this cabin to us. she is quick to answer any questions I had, she is great! I highly recommend using cabin get away!! the cabin is this like the pictures show on the vrbo site. the décor is awesome in every room of the cabin . very well stocked with all your needs in the kitchen. the cabin is has very good amenities with the satellite tv's washer dyer , all up to date appliances, . the bed room sets are all very nice and comfortable beds. the living room and family room furniture is very nice and comfortable. why stay inside with the views of all the mountains around you while you kick back and relax on the big back deck with great patio furniture. the gas grill was great to have and use. it has a very nice front porch you can kick back on also. we seen a deer with her little fawn they were beautiful out back of the cabin. Michele gave great directions to get there to the cabin .It is close to cripple creek (2-3) miles this is a great cabin if you have a big family or meeting family for a vacation in the mountains away from the big city. I highy recommend this cabin."

  • Manitou Springs Cottage

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay here from October 1-4. This is such a charming, quaint cottage to stay at set in a great location. The house is so unique being built within red rock. We had mike deer visitors one morning for breakfast which was a great! The downtown area and the Garden of Gods are right around the corner. This cottage was quiet, clean and very warm and inviting. Thank you for such a great trip and sharing your home with us!"
