  • Beautiful, private place to stay!

"We stayed at the cabin for a week and it felt like we were at home. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed including dishes, linens, and washer/dryer plus supplies. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub and exploring the property and we were even greeted by 2 elk one morning right outside of the door. We would not hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone or stay there again. We absolutely loved it. Thanks again Laura and Brad for sharing your place with us!"

  • Wonderful home

"My family of 6 rented the Dusty Rose for our week long stay in Cripple Creek, Co. The home was perfect for our needs. Centrally located to area sight seeing opportunities, near to downtown, but not so close to be bothersome and excellent amenities! The owners were very accommodating as well. We had two vehicles, one of which was a truck camper and 2 trailers. We asked in advance and the owners were fine with us parking all of them on the property. The home was supplied with linens and towels as well as dishes and pots n pans. Having access to a washer and dryer was a huge plus! The hot tub was well kept, clean and the perfect temperature! We were in the hot tub within 30 minutes of our arrival. There is a guest book in the home that was fun to read and to add to. By reviewing the guest book, we obtained some good ideas for places to dine. At one point, we locked ourselves out of the house and the neighbors - who are also the care takers - were kind enough to let us in. Our stay at the Dusty Rose was our first vacation rental, but will not be our last! The price and convenience of a vacation rental is so much better than staying at a hotel. Having access to a kitchen ensures that a wonderful vacation will not be a budget buster! The entire process, from booking to check out - including a myriad of questions from me (I'm a bit of a control freak) was easy and smooth. Lauren answered all of my questions and never once seemed bothered. I cannot recommend this home - or owners - enough!"

  • Beaver Lodge, Florissant CO

"What a comfortable place to hang out and enjoy the Rocky Mountains. The cabin is stocked with everything you need for rest and relaxation. You can prepare your own meals or travel 6-10 miles to local restaurants. There are plenty of special places to visit in the vicinity if you like making day trips and spending the evenings at the cabin."

  • Clean, well organized, unique, great location!!

"My husband and I along with our 13 year old son and 12 year old daughter stayed at Mark's property for 2 nights. We found the property to be very clean and comfortable and everything we needed. Mark was wonderful to work with and we did not encounter any glitches as everything was very organized. The location is very rustic and we were happy that we rented an SUV because the small road to get to the cabin was very rough. We were within a short drive to Old Colorado City where there are cute shops and restaurants. Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo are easily accessible from the cabin and all within 15-30 minutes. We did all of those things in the two days that we were here. Wifi and cable tv all worked great as did all of the appliances. Great stay and would come again! Thanks Mark!"
