On a manicured lot nestled into the island "secret garden" - the maritime forest, this is the perfect home for those seeking peace and serenity for your BHI vacation. Relax, play and leave the stress behind is the vibe at this three-bedroom, 2.5 bath Bald Head Island hidden gem. This home provides for outdoor living at its finest.

This classic Bald Head Island cottage greets you with a covered screen porch for lingering while enjoying the tree breezes and birdsong. Inside, the open floor plan starts with a window-surrounded living room boasting plenty of natural light and multiple views of the Island's resplendent Maritime Forest. You can snuggle here (watching a movie or playing one of the many games provided) or step outside onto the house side screen porch and while away your time rocking while breathing in BHI's serenity. Just steps down from the screened porch is a shrub-cloistered oversize deck with a children's swing, a ping pong table and lots of space for dining under the stars and enjoying the outdoor living. With the gas grill, new Brown egg, fish cleaning station and lots of space for you to enjoy the games and books the owner has provided.

Back inside, the long, distressed-wood dining table affords places for six and is adjacent to the breakfast bar which offers even more seating. Chefs will delight in the kitchen's handsome granite counters, stainless appliances and convenient nearby pantry/laundry. This floor also houses a half bath. The substantial King Master also provides a sizable Master Bath with a marble vanity, an oversize walk-in closet, a very large shower and a separate water closet. If you just have to work while you are here (hopefully not) there is desk space, and a wireless printer.

Upstairs, two bright bedrooms await. The first, with two queen beds, and the second with a third queen and a new full bath. This well-appointed property displays decorator touches everywhere-including hardwood floors, wainscoting, plantation shutters, tasteful art and upscale lighting fixtures.

*Club memberships are optional and subject to availability. The costs are separate and not included with the rental of the home.

We loved the house and the location and had a really comfortable stay. The only complaint I would have is the bikes were all pretty unusable. Some didn’t have brakes that worked some didn’t have seats that adjusted and were all in pretty rush shape.

Perfect family getaway

We loved the location of the house and the secluded feel of our vacation. Having 2 golf carts was an awesome bonus. Our kids used the outdoor shower everyday and the addition of beach toys and chairs was super convenient. We would definitely recommend this rental!!

Nichole was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire process and stay. The house is beautifully decorated and perfect for a family stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the furnishings are comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!!

Relaxing family week

The property was lovely. We enjoyed the quiet forest location. Lots of reading on the screened in porch! Everyone was comfortable and the 2 golf carts meant that we could venture out and then return separately when we’d had enough Sun and beach. We decided to get the shoals club membership which was perfect. Overall, wonderful, relaxing vacation and we are grateful!

Family vaca

This house was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. The location is great. If you plan on cooking while here you will find everything you need! Having 2 golf carts are great! The Bintelli golf cart is a huge bonus- loved riding around at night seeing the deer. Barbara and Tyler were very helpful and quick with communication and I feel they went above and beyond- they even came to our house after 8pm to install a Roku so we could watch the Copa final! Thank you for a relaxing and amazing vacation!!!

Great House!

We very much enjoyed this home. We rented through VRBO but it was sold after we rented and BHI Vacations took over the rental management. BHI Vacations upheld the previous check in and check out times for us which was gracious. Lindsey the property manager was readily available by phone or text and communication was great. We didn't have any needs though! Only thing I would say is they need more dish towels!

Perfect get away!

Very clean and updated cute home! Master (comfy) bed n bath downstairs w kitchen n dining n living room (w comfy couch), upstairs 2 other rooms w bath. It is right in the middle of the island - so 1/2 way to marina, BHI club or Shoals club. She has memberships to both - it is still a little extra to add either to go, but if a house doesn't have a membership, you cannot go period! FYI We chose Shoals because it is right on the beach, then you can walk right up to the pool. They also provide you w towels for pool and beach and chairs/umbrellas for beach - no toting everything! We loved fish n shrimp at Jules for dinner! Get to market place first day of your stay early to fill house if you didn't bring stuff - but check her house - she leaves spices to cook, mayo/ketchup etc in fridge and some coffee etc...leaves stuff from other renters that may be useable if you wish - which is nice! Door code which she gives is for on main front door (which is hard to see has a code till you touch it lol, but not the door to porch :)) Has the golf cart, seats 4 (hidden storage under back seat for market trips) and 2 bicycles. Plus several chairs.n toys for kids at beach (we didn't need but fyi) Also she had beach towels there too to use, although we just used Shoals club. In the 'forest' area, so other houses close but can't really see with trees, so nice privacy. Also on a short dead end w a circle, so nice if you have kids, could let them ride bikes in the road or play without worrying about someone speeding by w a golfcart n not paying attention :) She was very responsive to texts when we had a question. Great host.

Home was clean and nicely updated inside. Appreciate the beach chairs and umbrellas. No room for food storage in kitchen, no room in closets in bedrooms to store suitcases. Home needs power washing . Grill burners don’t work correctly. Difficult to get into golf car in garage because scooters we blocking walking paths

We even had a welcome text inviting us to arrive to the property early, even though we had not requested it (a lovely touch!). The house was spotless with comfy beds, tons of towels, and incredibly well-stocked in the kitchen. There were also tons of supplies like toilet paper, trash bags, detergent. We didn’t need to bring anything extra like we do with most rentals. We loved the choice of bikes and beach supplies. And the golf carts were both newer and nice. Ping pong table and screened porches a huge plus! The location was also ideal - very private and serene in the forest, while still close to all of the amenities. Five star stay! We can’t wait to be back!

Perfect BHI Getaway

House has a fantastic layout for a family with a beautiful master suite on the first floor, 2 bedrooms on the second floor, and a great outdoor space. Conveniently located to everything on the island and quiet! The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked quite a bit. Nichole was great to work with and very responsive. The house and the island made a perfect getaway!

Lovely Thanksgiving

We had a great time on the island for Thanksgiving this year. There is plenty of space in this home both inside and outside. Located very conveniently to everything, but on a very quiet street. Nichole was very prompt with communication.

Always fun at BHI

Great home. Easy and quiet location. Owner even got us new beach towels when the ones at the house were missing. Well stocked kitchen that even had spices in the cupboard. The only thing missing was a hair dryer but as they say — beach hair, don’t care.

Great house and location.

My family and I had a great time on BHI. The house was perfect for my wife kids. The location was perfect and in a very low traffic area. Perfect for the kids to ride bikes around the house. Great owner as well Nichole promptly answer all of my questions.

Great last minute find on Bald Head Island!

We really enjoyed the house. It had every room we needed including a screened in porch and super large deck. Kitchen fairly well stocked with basics in terms of pots & pans plus utensils. The owners just bought the house and have done a great job decorating/furnishing for renters this summer. A few little things need to be fixed but nothing major. Not terribly far to the beach, the market and the marina. And best of all - the golf cart has a speaker with LED lights! The teenagers with me loved it - they gained the name the "LED girls" when cruising around at night! Would definitely recommend
