Nestled among lofty evergreens like a portal to a storybook world, this cottage brings whimsy and charm to tranquil Anderson Island. This is a place to truly escape, whether that means days spent beachcombing, golfing, fishing, or kayaking the scenic waters of Puget Sound.
This quiet, two-story home sits among Douglas fir and western red cedar at the heart of Anderson Island. It's part of the Riviera Community Club, a membership which gives you access to the Riviera Golf Course, freshwater lakes, beaches, hiking and biking trails, a salmon stream, fishing docks, and courts for tennis, pickleball, basketball, and volleyball. Exploration is easy here, with the ferry dock just two miles north and an EV charger right on the property.
Greet each day outside on the spacious back deck, a beautiful, private, and serene spot to linger with your morning coffee and a view of the woods. It's a scene every bit as magical in the evenings, with marshmallows roasting over the outdoor firepit.
Inside, the house is an homage to a fantasy world, with tributes to the books that inspired the space leading you up the staircase. Bask in the natural light streaming in through large windows, whether you're cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, playing board games at the dining room table, or curling up in nest-like chairs to watch movies in the living room.

Great location and comfy beds
We loved the small touches of decor and thought that went into this home. Very much appreciate the dog friendliness too. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Kitchen was well stocked and sizeable.
Beautiful home on a peaceful island. We enjoyed our stay! House was clean, well equipped. Island is very quiet, and we were happy we brought all our food/games/walking things with us. Found beautiful spaces on the trails, explored the Historical house, and chatted with the islanders. We will be back!

Lovely home that invites slowing down and looking around
This is a lovely home on on a quiet island. The house is surrounded by trees, has ample space for a family and dogs, and is charmingly decorated. We've stayed here twice and would love to come again. The island creates a sense of calm and the islanders are so friendly.

Great Storybook House in the Woods!
We enjoyed our stay at The Dogwood Place. Beautifully decorated, clean, storybook themed cottage! Well equipped kitchen. Very quiet and cosy. Our dog loved it! He was very happy on the enclosed deck! Close to the ferry and island amenities. Thanks for your hospitality!
We had a great time during our stay. I do have a recommendation, though. Please upgrade the paper products -- the paper towels and toilet paper are both thin and cheap. We didn't have enough toilet paper or regular bath towels for three adults and a child.
