The cabin is located on State Route 3 in Mid-Coast Maine. The driveway provides easy on-and-off access for travelers and provides easy wheel chair access.
The cabin is not in the woods and yet...
the cabin offers our guests an affordable, clean, convenient, and accessible, "base camp" for Maine's Mid-Coast nature adventures. Fishing, boating, hiking, hunting, 4 wheeling, all within walking or 5 miles from the cabin front door! Too many boat ramps nearby to list! A large flat field on one side of the property is perfect for play and includes a fire pit and grill of course in the summer! Walk to great fishing stream in the back field. The ocean is just a short 15 minutes away in Belfast, Maine.
The cabin is a cozy 1 bedroom, single-family, stand-alone home, perfect for couples, seniors, or small family. The cabin has a full kitchen, bath, living room, and separate bedroom. The living room includes a queen-size pull-out sleeper and recliner, TV/internet. Updates include a new dishwasher, new living room furniture, and new bathroom vanity, and hand pul down windppw shades in December 2023.
We insist on no smoking in the cabin and no pets. There is a smoking area outside on the back deck.

Why I call my cabin HOME BASE :
The cabin is located on State Route 3 in Mid-Coast Maine. The driveway provides easy on-and-off access for travelers and provides easy wheel chair access.
My cabin is not in the woods and yet...
Walk out the front door, cross the road, and you will find the Frye Mountain Hiking Trail. Walk out the back door, through the field and you can fish in the Barlett Stream.
If Four wheeling is your style, you can hit the dirt trails from the driveway! (Yes, really).
Drive out the driveway to your left (west) in 3 minutes you can paddle in the stream's reservoir inside the Ruffingham Meadow State Game Preserve. Drive East and in 5 minutes you are at the boat ramp to Quantabacook Lake. In 8 miles west you will find Beautiful Lake Staint George State Park for more boating options. Really; there are too many boat ramps to list.
This is why I call it home base. Bring your gear and after a full day of action, the cabin is where you can relax, maybe cook a grilled dinner, and get ready for your next mid-coast Maine adventure.
