The Location: Palm Island

Palm Island (also known as Don Pedro or Knight Island) is a 7-mile-long bridge-less barrier island located between Sarasota and Fort Myers. Known for sugar-sand beaches, fishing, shelling, and peaceful harbors, the island offers a truly relaxed atmosphere—no high-rises, no traffic, and mostly golf-cart travel. There is one island restaurant (Rum Bay), plus an ice cream stand and gift shop, with water taxis available to nearby mainland dining and shopping.

Home is elevated per current building codes; stairs are required to access the main living area
