Great unit in a very cute town. We stayed three nights for the Newport Jazz Fest and it took roughly 45-minutes to drive each way. There are very nice restaurants nearby on the waterfront. The unit was very clean and very accommodating. Two huge rooms and a living/dining area. The noise from the traffic on the intersection can be a little loud. We slept with a noise machine and the sound of the ac unit helped. Overall a great place to stay!

Accommodations were good, however, it was not made clear in the description of the challenging stairs up to the 3rd floor, also states “air conditioning”, but that was only 2 window units in bedrooms, only a fan in living/kitchen area, lastly, the traffic noise levels were very loud with heavy truck traffic, quite disruptive

Clean and simple

This property was great, check in was extremely easy, super clean place, AC worked great for some really hot days. It is on a busy street but with the light was pretty easy to get out of the driveway. Great place, definitely recommend

Stay!

This was a great jumping off point for all of our adventures around Rhode Island (and parts of Massachusetts) - Warren, Providence, Newport, Bristol. So location is wonderful. Is the location loud? During the day - yes, it's a on a popular road. But at night it wasn't terrible - Kathy provides earplugs in case you need them. But we didn't. The furniture wasn't the most comfy but if you're out and about, it's not a thing. If it were a long term stay, I could see the bed maybe becoming a bit uncomfortable but it worked for our short stay. All in all, we'd be back if we're in the area! Would recommend if you want a central location.

Unfortunately I have to condense my review to 1500 character and am writing this on behalf of my mother. I aim to be unbiased, but this stay was disappointing, and I hope this helps others avoid a similar experience. To preface, my mother missed the pet fee when booking, but we resolved it on-site, so that’s irrelevant. After a 14hr drive, my mother, wife, and I arrived late with our dog, having informed the host earlier. We were ready to rest, but within five minutes, we were told we couldn’t stay. Host falsely claimed we brought 5 guests instead of 3, contacted VRBO to cancel our stay, and ignored us for 90+minutes, leaving us bewildered at 10:30 pm in an unfamiliar area. When my wife returned to inform me, the host rudely scoffed and locked her out. In hindsight, this was a scam to keep our payment, as VRBO’s policies are inadequate. After four calls, a VRBO agent said a refund wasn’t possible due to policy gaps. Upon reviewing the host’s recent claims, the agent found false harassment accusations against us. The agent called the host “paranoid” and told us to stay, despite our discomfort. Upon entry, we found the unit’s door open and the area unclean, as if someone had just used it. Bugs were present on the third floor. Only after contacting VRBO a fourth time, the host claimed her reaction was due to previous bad renters, which is extremely unprofessional. Unfortunately I’m out of space. Beware renting here and protect yourself.
